Villafamés, a niche Valencian countryside town that you probably won't visit on your trip from Japan, is a place you probably won't see often. In fact, it's been selected as one of Spain's most beautiful villages. We visited it as part of an excursion with Erasums, a community of international students. It's not easily accessible from Madrid. It takes about three hours by AVE and taxi. 🚕 Famous attractions here include the Castell de Vilafamés castle and the Iglesia de la Asunción, the town's symbol with its eye-catching pink ceiling. ⛪️ Also, I remember walking down the street, nervously worried that the large stone 🪨 at the town's entrance might fall. lol It's also home to the Museu d'Art Contemporani, a modern art museum. 🖼 Being located in the inland mountains of Valencia, it rained a lot and the air felt humid. ☔️ I'll post more about other niche Spanish countryside towns soon! #OverseasTravel #Valencia #SpainTravel #EuropeTravel #CountryTravel
