Six friends walked Hadrian's Wall from west to east and had a fantastic time thanks to Leanne from Raw Travel. The accommodations were delightful, with every host providing more than sufficient housing and exceptional meals. Staying at Twice Brewed with a rest day to visit Vindolanda proved to be an amazing suggestion! Leanne's open communication was incredibly helpful, and despite the "undulations" of days 4 and 5, the stunning beauty of northern England made it all worthwhile. Overall, a perfectly planned and executed multi-day walk, earning a 10/10 from us.

We absolutely loved our private tour of Hadrian's Wall and Vindolanda fort! Stephen's approach was engaging, laid-back, approachable, and highly informative. Through free-flowing conversation, we built a connection as Stephen thoughtfully answered all our questions about the Roman ruins and Scotland in general. He made a point of taking us along stunning scenic routes, letting us fully enjoy the gorgeous countryside while he shared detailed insights about each landmark. It was truly an unforgettable day!

Alex Iles is your perfect guide for Northumberland. He worked with me for months while I organized my trip, showing incredible patience as I kept changing my plans. We spent three amazing days together, and his knowledge of the area's history, buildings, and ruins is unparalleled. We visited Alnwick Castle, Warkworth Castle, Lindisfarne Priory and Museum, Bamburgh Castle, and Hadrian’s Wall. Lunch was included, and he always ensured our comfort. Today's itinerary: Pitlochry Town - Doune Castle - Stirling Castle - Hadrian's Wall - Lake District/Windermere Take a stroll around the town and canal before leaving Pitlochry. Then, drive for 1 hour to Doune Castle, a filming location for Game of Thrones. Stirling Castle is much larger than Doune Castle and is the oldest castle after Edinburgh Castle, well worth a visit. Hadrian's Wall is also an important historical site in the UK. Although it's a slight detour, it's worth a visit to see the mini Great Wall. Arrive at the Lake District at sunset and check in to the best located lakeside hotel - Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa. The hotel has some history, but it's in the best location, close to the ferry terminal, and right on the lake.

#uktrip Came on short day trip and left wanting to organise a weeks hiking trip with Friends. Simply beautiful country side and with museums and historically important places right along its length . I loved the view over the bridge crossing the Irving. Besides the weather it was very enjoyable. Information provided was succinct and interesting. The exhibition at the entrance was particularly well designed and set out.
