The Fisherman's Wife Whitby is a famous seafood restaurant in Whitby, offering fresh seafood dishes alongside stunning sea views. Conveniently located in the heart of the town, it's easy to find and situated along the path to the viewpoint. Be aware that the restaurant gets very crowded during lunch and dinner hours. To avoid long waits, it's recommended to visit around 11 AM for lunch or before 6 PM for dinner. Their signature dish, fish and chips, is a must-try, featuring incredibly fresh fish. Another surprising delight is the baked mussels, which are fresh, plump, and free of any fishy smell—truly a wow moment. Fried shrimp and scallops are also highly recommended. While there are many other dishes to choose from, we couldn't try them all. If you're visiting Whitby, this restaurant is a must-visit for fresh and delicious seafood that won't disappoint.

From York to Edinburgh, you must not miss Whitby. I've had this seaside town on my list for a long time. With its medieval streets and colorful boats, it's a picture-perfect scene. However, Whitby is much more than that. It's the place where Captain Cook set sail, and it flourished during the Age of Exploration. It's also the birthplace of vampire culture. 130 years ago, the Irish novelist Bram Stoker wrote the famous vampire novel *Dracula* in Whitby. · Whitby is not a big town, but half a day is still a rush. From the ancient abbey ruins to the bustling harbor and beach, it was undoubtedly the most memorable part of my trip to England. The weather was also very fitting. At Whitby Abbey, there was a cloudy, vampire-like atmosphere, but when we got to the town beach, the sun suddenly came out, and it felt like a perfect vacation day. · Here is the route of our city walk, which you can refer to: Whitby Abbey → St. Mary's Church and Graveyard → 199 Steps → Papa's Fish and Chips → Whalebone Arch → Whitby Beach · ⭐Highlights ✅Whitby Abbey: This war-torn abbey was built between the 11th and 14th centuries and is located on a high point in the heart of the town. The scones here were really delicious! And since this place is also used as a hostel, I recommend it if you want a unique experience. Magpie Cafe is really famous for its fish and chips. Lovely day in Whitby for the bank holiday plenty to see expecially Whitby abbey and the 199 steps and museum the boats see and shops bars all amazing lovely day out . My friend and I had lunch in the Wetherspoon which was delicious I had fish chips and mushy peas very tasty 😋 it was very good prices not expensive at all and came with a drink. We also went shopping and then had a walk on the seafront beautiful view of the whale jaw which has been there many year so I give it a 10 out of 10 day out next time I think I will book hotel so I can see more of Whitby

#uktrip Lovely walk up the promenade past the beach huts and back along the sand. Up the 109 steps to Abbey and there's a reward waiting. A micro brewery. A couple of quid spent I'm slot machines and the classic fish and chip lunch. It's a great day our at a classic seaside resort. But one day is enough to keep the magic. I love these Beach huts. Situated on the seafront below westcliffe Whitby. There dismantled from November until March.people rent them and make them home from home with their own personalities and personal touches

#uktrip Whitby is a great place! The views are stunning, both in the town and also at the Abbey/Castle! On a clear day you can see Norway from Whitby Pier/jetty. There are boat tours, usually 30 minutes, a variety to chose from as well. There is also a Whale watching tour, I didn't go on this as I wasn't aware and you needed to book in advance, but this is must! There is a nice cafe with beautiful views close to the Abbey where you can get stunning pictures. There is a railway and local buses running to places. There are also tour buses that take your sights in Whitby.
