#wheretogo This outstanding little Mauritshuis Den Haag museum has many gems of Golden Age painting. The Girl with the Pearl Earrings definitely worth it, but the rest of the collection is also very worthwhile. I was impressed by the way the artworks were displayed – many were at eye level – in the mansion’s elegant rooms. The museum is well presented with all the various works of art in different rooms. The walls had dark wallpaper, the rooms were fairly dim, spotlights add to the chandeliers to make the pictures clearly visible, even the ones behind glass in their frames. The museum is not so crowded so you get to stand in front of the fabulous artwork without being pushed and shoved by other visitors. The staff were attentive and fluent in Dutch and English. We thoroughly enjoyed strolling through each room and exploring each of the works of art.
