Telaga Jer is the widest lake at the foot of the Dieng mountains. The depth of Menjer Lake reaches 45 meters. #summervacation a year ago one of the very nice places to enjoy the sunrise. a trip to the top is approximately 1km and takes a 30 minute walk. terrain road is very comfortable, many food vendors before climbing. cold temperatures reaching 10 degrees celsius can be even cooler, so don't forget to wear a jacket or warm clothes. can also be for camping and overnight. large parking area, many traditional souvenirs typical of dieng you can buy. a year ago i really like enjoying the sun rises in the sky, the cloud was fabulous. It is such an effort to get here, step on the stairs that i can't even count it. #travel2026 center of Jawa , really nice place to enjoy the view , quite time , the breakfast was good a lot of choice , the room was quite f’small but okay for one night pretty clean , bathroom good too , and the place it’s also cheap , good area easy to walk around. You can ask also for laundry an express , I will recommend this hotel if you just top one or two night over there

Mount Sumbing is one of the most breathtaking mountains in Central Java, and my two-day hike here turned into one of my favorite adventures in Indonesia. Standing at around 3,371 meters, Sumbing is known for its steep terrain, dramatic crater views, and multiple summits that reward you with scenery you will remember for a long time. What I love about Mount Sumbing is that there are three main peaks you can reach during the summit push: Puncak Kawah, Puncak Sejati, and Puncak Rajawali. Each one feels different, and reaching them all gives you the full Sumbing experience. ⛺️ Getting to the Basecamp Reaching the basecamp is surprisingly easy. Even though the mountain looks remote, you can get there using public transportation options. You can book an online transportation like grab or arrange a car charter directly to the basecamp. This makes it convenient for solo hikers or anyone traveling without their own vehicle. I arrived at basecamp in the morning, had breakfast there, and started my hike around 10:30 AM. Day 1: The Climb to Post 3 and Camping The trail from basecamp to Post 3 is steady but manageable. You pass through farmland, forest sections, and open ridges as the mountain starts to reveal its shape. The weather can be hot early in the day, so starting mid-morning was comfortable. After about four hours of hiking, I reached Post 3. This is where most hikers set up camp because it offers a wide flat area, protection from the wind, and beautiful views of the valley. Watching the clouds move across the landscape while preparing dinner felt peaceful and rewarding. Camping here also means you are closer to the summit, making the next morning’s ascent easier. Day 2: Summit Push to the Three Peaks 1. Puncak Kawah The first peak you reach on summit day is Puncak Kawah. From here, you get a direct view into the crater of Mount Sumbing. The landscape is rugged and dramatic, with sharp rocks and steam vents in some seasons. The light in the early morning makes the crater look almost golden. 2. Puncak Sejati Next is Puncak Sejati, the true summit of Mount Sumbing. The trail becomes steeper as you move toward this peak, but the views open up more and more. This is where you begin to see the perfect silhouette of Mount Sindoro standing proudly across the valley. It feels like the two mountains are guarding Central Java together. 3. Puncak Rajawali Reaching Puncak Rajawali is the most challenging part. The terrain becomes very steep, narrow, and exposed. At one section, you must use a rope to climb up. This part requires focus, balance, and patience. Even though it is not technical climbing, it is steep enough to make your heart beat faster. But once you pull yourself up and arrive at the top, everything feels worth it. The view is incredible. You can see all the ridges of Sumbing, the deep crater, Mount Sindoro floating above the clouds, and even other mountains in the distance if the sky is clear. 💬 Final Thoughts My two-day hike to Mount Sumbing gave me everything I wanted from a mountain adventure. A challenging trail, peaceful camping, dramatic peaks, and views that stayed with me long after the hike ended. If you want a real mountain challenge in Central Java and enjoy summits that require both effort and excitement, Mount Sumbing should be on your list. Dieng pada ketinggian 2.263 mdpl. Tepatnya sebelah Timur Desa Sembungan, Kecamatan Kejajar, Kabupaten Wonosobo, Jawa Tengah. Desa Sembungan sendiri merupakan desa tertinggi di Pulau Jawa. Bukit Sikunir sangat terkenal dengan Golden Sun Rise nya yang sangat indah dan memanjakan mata. Jika Anda ingin melihat Golden Sikunir dengan jelas tanpa tertutup kabut dan awan, datanglah pada musim kemarau antara Juli- Oktober. Pada bulan-bulan ini cuaca jarang mendung dan kabut tidak tebal. Ini adalah waktu terbaik untuk mendapatkan spot warna keemasan Golden Sunrise Sikunir dengan jelas. Tidak hanya Golden Sunrise Sikunir saja yang diincar pengunjung Bukit Sikunir Dieng, tetapi ada keindahan lain yang bisa kita saksikan di Bukit Sikunir yaitu deretan beberapa gunung tinggi di Pulau Jawa juga menjadi salah satu spot yang diburu pengunjung, terutama dari kalangan pecinta fotografi. Dari Puncak Sikunir Anda bisa memandang Gunung Sindoro yang berselimut kabut tipis berdampingan dengan Gunung Kembang dan Gunung Sumbing. Tidak jauh dari ketiga gunung itu akan terlihat Gunung Merbabu, Gunung Merapi, dan Gunung Ungaran yang menjulang tinggi. Penampakan gunung-gunung ini akan lebih indah saat matahari berada di atasnya saat pagi hari. Jalur akses dan rute perjalanan menuju Desa Sembungan tempat Bukit Sikunir berada cukup mudah. Anda bisa menggunakan kendaraan pribadi atau kendaraan sewaan seperti angkot atau ojek. Jarak dari kota Wonosobo (star di Alun-alun Wonosobo) ke Dieng memakan waktu sekitar 50 menit dengan kendaraan. Sekiranya perlu juga untuk di ingat bahwa untuk melakukan pendakian ke bukit Sikunir yang pas adalah paling lambat pukul 03.30 malam dini hari, agar anda bisa menyaksikan keindahan munculnya sunrise, dan sekali lagi yang perlu diperhatikan untuk membawa pakaian yang cukup tebal karena suhu udara di lokasi bukit Sikunir cukup ekstrime yaitu 10-15 derajat celcius agar tidak membeku saat menikmati pemandangan yang mempesona tersebut. Untuk memasuki Kawasan Wisata Bukit Sikunir Anda hanya dikenai biaya tiket masuk hanya Rp5.000 per-orang. #hiking
