Learn about Chinese Culture in Xi’an!
The capital of China during the Tang Dynasty, Xi’an is one of China’s most historically significant cities.
When here, take a walk or bike along the city wall - one of the oldest, largest, and best preserved city walls in the country! You’ll see many couples taking wedding photos here as the city makes for an awesome backdrop

Blast from the Past—UNESCO HERITAGE
📍Terracotta Warriors Museum, Xi’an, China
Quick history: It was said that the whole set up of the Terracotta Army was buried along with Emperor Qin Shi Huang when he died. People believed that the army will protect the Emperor in his afterlife.
The whole set up of the Army was said to be the actual formation of them when they are about to battle or on combat. Seeing their formation and positing during the battle gave a lot of ideas to the researchers about the combat strategies they had in the past.

📍Xi’an
Xi’an city wall, also known as the fortifications of Xi’an, is the most complete city wall that has survived in China, also one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. My tour guide, mr. Li, told me that Xi’an City Wall was 13,6 km. It had 4 gates, Changle Gate, Anding Gate, Yongning Gate, and Anyuan Gate. I was walking around, taking pictures and just sight-seeing. I didn’t want to ride the bike because it was too cold. I came from the south gate or Yongning Gate. Because not all the gates are opened for tourists.

📍Xi’an
Came here in the evening, cold night in Xi’an. I still thought even though it was so cold, it was still worth a visit. Wild Goose Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda located in Southern Xi’an, China. It was built during Tang dynasty. The lighting for me was simple. The harmony of the yellow light and the painting of the pagoda (brown bricks) were so elegant. I like it.

📍Terracotta Army Museum, Xi’an
If you come to Xi’an and don’t pay a visit to Terracotta Army Museum, means that you haven’t been to Xi’an. Xi’an had been the capital of China of 13 dynasty. It was recognized as one of the great 4 ancient capitals of China. It was like once in a lifetime opportunity for me to see these amazing works. Highly recommended!

📍Danfeng Gate Heritage Museum, Xi’an
Danfeng Gate is a south gate of Daming Palace. It has the biggest scale than any other gate and there’s a royal road with about 500 meters long right which was why it took us (me and my cousin) so long to get to the building. The interior of the Danfeng Gate is a museum mainly in the former relics of Danfeng Gate.
I didn’t spend much time here because it was too cold. Just took pictures real fast. I must say that i was so amazed with the building. it was worth the walk.

📍Muslim street or Muslim quarter, Xi’an
I came here during my winter break with my cousin. It was a really fun trip. I couldn’t believe i made myself all the way to Xi’an. This Muslim Quarter is heaven on earth. I really love everything about this place. They sell all halal food (food that doesn’t contain any pork). Everything is just beef or lamb. I was strolling around and just bought everything that caught my eyes and looked interesting. The RouJiaMo (5th picture) was the highlight of this place. the bread was so crunchy and soft while the beef was perfectly seasoned and tender!!
