🚙Transportation:
Self-driving is recommended!
We rented a car in Chengdu and drove there. Just navigate to the destination. The roads are easy to drive on, and you can capture many stunning views along the way (such as the snow-capped mountain in front of the road in the photo).
🍁Scenic Area
Due to time constraints, we only visited Shuangqiaogou (relatively low altitude, more comfortable). We saw many beautiful views, which you need to capture with your eyes. Just navigate to the destination. Parking is convenient, and there are shuttle buses in the scenic area, which are very comfortable.

🟠Depart from Chengdu and head to Maerkang first, then drive for another hour to Majiagou in Xiaojin County. The road conditions are good along the way, with few cars and beautiful scenery. It is recommended to stay in Maerkang❗️The accommodation conditions near Majiagou are not very good, and it will be very cold without air conditioning!
🟠Arrive at the Majiagou Visitor Center at 8:30 in the morning to buy tickets. The ticket and sightseeing car cost 60 in total. After buying the ticket, go directly to the ticket check and take the sightseeing car. It takes 15 minutes to reach the starting point of the hike. Then you can hike the entire 3.2 km and see the beautiful scenery, which is great for taking photos! Of course, you can also continue to walk 2 km after the end of the plank road to reach the end point, Moon Lake. The round trip takes a total of four and a half hours. If you want to go to the end point, it may take about 6 hours, depending on your physical strength.
🟠Majiagou begins to enter the golden scenery in mid-October. Friends who want to see yellow leaves, snow-capped mountains, and lakes can go! And it's pet-friendly! The altitude of the scenic area is not very high, just over 3,000. It is still very cold in the morning and evening, so be sure to wear a thick down jacket!
🟠Overall, I think Majiagou is a good place with few people and beautiful scenery. The autumn scenery is really good. Mid-October to early November is just right. If it's a bit later, there may be more snow~ The aerial view is even better!

Mount Siguniang is located in Xiaojin County, Aba Prefecture. If you choose to drive, just navigate to Mount Siguniang Town. If you take public transportation, you can take a bus from the Chadianzi Bus Station in Chengdu.

1️⃣ Redwood Forest: In the fall, a large redwood forest stands at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, creating a beautiful scene.
2️⃣ Zhugana Lake: There are lakes, snow-capped mountains, and plank roads here. The sightseeing bus does not stop here, so you need to walk. But because of this, there are very few people, and it's a great place to take photos. Don't miss it.
3️⃣ Potala Peak: The redwood forest is at the foot of the snow-capped mountains, and the entire highway is very suitable for taking photos.
4️⃣ Siguna Lake: When the weather is clear, you can take photos of the reflection of the snow-capped mountains. Walk along the wooden plank road, and there are beautiful views everywhere.

4️⃣ Longzhucuo
Enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the lake, snow mountains and meadows. It takes about 10 kilometers to walk around the lake.

1⃣️ Redwood Forest
The last stop, it is recommended to take the bus directly to this stop and then play forward. The yellow house and the snow-covered road must be photographed. This stop can be hiked or take the bus directly to the White Pagoda after taking the plank road.
2⃣️ Zhuga Na Cuo
The sightseeing bus does not reach this stop, take the bus to the White Pagoda and then hike for 15 minutes. In the morning, you can take a picture of the reflection of the snow mountain, snow mountain + turquoise sea, super beautiful, must go!
3⃣️ White Pagoda
The stop before Redwood Forest, also my favorite stop, the road leading to the snow mountain🏔️, with colorful forests on both sides, so romantic!

📍First, the location:
The location is excellent, halfway up a valley in Changping Valley, directly facing the main peak of Four Sisters Mountain. You can see the snow mountains by opening the curtains in the room. A few steps down from the inn is a beautiful small river valley where you can play in the water and ride horses.
🏠Design:
The first impression is a bit like Jixiashan Meili, with a typical wabi-sabi style. The area is smaller, with a four-story building. The lobby on the first floor and the bar on the top floor have great views, with the snow mountain as the window view...
💤Rooms:
A small and beautiful inn with only a few rooms. This time, I stayed with friends on the third floor in Yaomei (the best view, the largest and most expensive room, with the bed facing the snow mountain), Shuangqiao on the second floor, and Changping on the first floor. Yaomei and Changping both have private hot springs and outdoor terraces, which feel better. However, the Haizi next to Changping feels better than Changping, as there is a shed outside the window of Changping that spoils the view~
The room sizes are not large, but the views are great, and the comfort is okay~
🍴About meals:
Breakfast and dinner are fixed sets. Breakfast is very rich, afternoon tea has desserts, and dinner recommends the local hot pot~
⭐Finally, about the living experience:
1. The overall service is very good, the butler responds promptly. The night before we came, the hot water in another inn was not hot, and I caught a cold. The lady helped to make brown sugar ginger water~

Friends from other places are advised to choose Shuangliu Airport for landing, as it is more convenient for transportation. Many tour groups offer airport pickup.

1. Altitude sickness: I am the kind of person who easily gets altitude sickness, but going to Shuangqiao Valley is no problem. If you are worried, you can prepare some glucose, and if you feel hypoxic after entering the mountain, you can buy an oxygen can, which is available at almost every station for self-service sale.
2. Transportation: For friends who drive by themselves, if you are not often on this route, it is not recommended to drive by yourself. The roads in Western Sichuan are treacherous, especially during the rainy season, so be more cautious as the routes are complex and dangerous.
3. Accommodation: Accommodation is generally chosen in Rilong Town (Mount Siguniang Town), and there are homestays available for accommodation in Shuangqiao Valley, suitable for in-depth travel.
4. Weather: You can check the weather in Xiaojin County before departure, which is generally accurate. Even if it's cloudy on the road, it might be a different scene once you cross the mountain. When the sun comes out, it's really hot, so just wear some easy-to-take-off jackets.

🏔The Four Girls Mountain is divided into three scenic areas: Shuangqiao Valley, Changping Valley, and Haizi Valley.
✔Shuangqiao Valley is the most well-equipped scenic spot, where you can take a sightseeing bus throughout the journey.
✔The other two scenic spots require hiking, and if you're worried about altitude sickness, we didn't attempt those. If it's your first time in Western Sichuan, visiting Shuangqiao Valley is already enough.

1⃣Zhagana Lake
The most stunning photo spot in the entire area, with beautiful lake reflections. Most photos are taken here. However, the bus doesn't stop at this spot; you need to get off at Buddha Peak and walk back about 1 kilometer. It's truly worth it.
2⃣Buddha Peak
The end of the winding road is the snow mountain, super suitable for taking epic road shots.
3⃣Four Girls Lake
Lake + dry tree branches + snow mountain, there are quite a few tourists, so it's recommended to take the bus directly to the next stop.
4⃣Nianyu Dam
You can go rafting here, 90/person, and float directly to the next stop. The current is very gentle, offering a completely different scenery from hiking.
5⃣Renshiguo Meadow
Streams, meadows, snow mountains, and herds of cattle and sheep, but there are also quite a few tourists.

❶For hiking, it's recommended to walk on the side plank roads for a more forest-immersed atmosphere.
❷The UV rays are strong, and the temperature difference is significant, remember to bring a warm coat + take sun protection measures.
