Known as "Four Sisters Mountain," the Eastern Alps.

🤍 After exploring three destinations on my own—Bipenggou, Dagu Glacier, and Four Sisters Mountain—I decided to take it easy with a 3-day, 2-night group trip with Chinese friends. I booked through June, a Chengdu-based guide. During my visit, there was no snow, making the scenery quite dry, but the photos turned out stunning in their own way. Absolutely beautiful! 🤍
Exploring Four Sisters Mountain (guided by Thai tour operators in Chengdu):
The distance from the park's bus boarding point to the highest spot is 35 kilometers. The park bus takes you directly to the highest point first (about 45 minutes). Then, you ride the bus back down, stopping at various points along the way👇
📍1️⃣ 红杉林 or Red Pine Forest (highest elevation in Shuangqiaogou at 3,840 meters)
This spot features a large engraved rock. You can walk along wooden paths and explore the red pine forest.
- 珠嘎纳错 ZhuGaNaCuo: This area offers beautiful views and fewer crowds. However, buses don’t stop here, so you’ll need to walk back from the second stop.
📍2️⃣ 布达拉峰 or Potala Peak
A 360° snow mountain viewpoint and a popular photo spot for Chinese visitors. This is the iconic location where people often sit and take photos on the park road, as seen in many clips. It’s a landmark that says, "I’ve arrived at Four Sisters Mountain!"
📍3️⃣ 四姑娜措 or Sigu Nacuo (elevation 3,588 meters)
This area features wooden paths around a lake (takes about 10-30 minutes to walk). If the weather is clear, you can see reflections of snow-covered mountains and dead trees in the lake.
📍4️⃣ 撵鱼坝 or HuYuBa (elevation 3,500 meters)
This is the rafting spot, with wooden paths running parallel for viewing the highland grasslands. If you don’t want to raft, you can simply stroll around.
(Rafting is typically available from May to November, costing 90 yuan per person.)
***If you want to raft but don’t know where to stop, show this picture to the park bus driver, and they’ll drop you off.***
📍5️⃣ 隆珠措 or LongZhuCuo (elevation 3,490 meters)
This lake offers similar views to Sigu Nacuo, but the shapes of the dead trees here are more distinctive.
📍6️⃣ 云端山语服务中心 or Cloud Mountain Service Center (elevation 3,360 meters)
This service center has restaurants, cafes, snacks, and even a small helicopter parked nearby.
*The bus may not stop here; inform the driver if you want to get off.*
📍7️⃣ 人参果坪 or RenShen GuoPing (elevation 3,300 meters)
This is the final stop in Shuangqiaogou, featuring wide fields with yaks and cattle grazing peacefully.
