I've been following the Silk Road Dream Enjoyment Train since its domestic trial runs. This is truly China's first "luxury tourist train." I hadn't even heard of the Qinghai Tibetan Culture Museum before I planned my trip to Xining (embarrassingly ignorant, I know). At the time, I knew almost nothing about Tibetan culture, only that there was a massive 618-meter Thangka painting here. When I finally entered the museum, I regretted not allocating more time… I ended up being ushered out by the closing announcement. But it was truly amazing! Almost everyone lingered in front of the 618-meter Thangka, marveling and gazing intently. Long story short, this place not only houses the Guinness World Record-holding giant Thangka, created by 400 artists over 4 years, but also detailed exhibits on ethnic clothing and architecture, daily life, history and culture, medicine, Tibetan books… everything you can imagine. 🍂 The trip to southern Xinjiang in autumn, boarding the luxurious Silk Road Dream, started a six-day, five-night cultural exploration journey. It is a forbidden zone for humans and a paradise for wild animals. —————— I downloaded the movie "Kekexili: Mountain Patrol" directed by Lu Chuan to watch on the plane before I left. The movie says, "The story of Hoh Xil is hard to tell, only those who have really been there can understand." The movie is based on the true story of Sonam Dargye. This is heaven, hell, a pure land, and a place to witness life and faith. The last primitive wilderness in China, this is the last habitat of Tibetan antelopes. This is the wilderness, but not barren. Every alpine meadow interprets the power of life. —————— The original plan was to spend two days there, but it was still early and the weather was good, so I went straight to the Jade Pool of the Queen Mother of the West after returning to the Wuji Dragon and Phoenix Palace. I was very lucky along the way, from continuous rain to bright sunshine, snow-capped mountains, jade pool, alpine meadows, I saw Tibetan wild donkeys, Tibetan gazelles, Tibetan antelopes, wild yaks, and marmots. I didn't see the "egg yolk pie internet celebrity wolf" but took a photo with the "wolf friend" (see the picture later). The Nanchan Buddhist Temple in Xining is a peaceful site worth visiting⛩️☸️. It offers free entry and a quiet environment, making it a great place to explore at your own pace. The temple’s architecture is quite impressive, and it provides a nice view of the surrounding area🏙️. Indeed you can see most of xining from the top of it.
