Xinzhou Ancient City Fengshen Guesthouse Tingchu BEGINS! Wabi-Sabi Style Private Hot Spring So Healing
Who understands, family! I found a treasure guesthouse in Xinzhou Ancient City, featuring wabi-sabi design + natural sulfur private hot springs. Once you stay here, you won’t want to leave. It’s truly the ultimate escape in the ancient city.
Precise Location! A Quiet Corner in the Ancient City
Located at Courtyard C13, Caoshi Alley, Xinzhou Ancient City, Xiurong Street, Xinfu District, Xinzhou City. Hidden in the heart of the ancient city yet peaceful amidst the bustle. Just a 3-minute walk to explore the ancient city streets, enjoy local snacks, and after soaking in the hot springs at night, you can leisurely admire the ancient city night view. Convenient and quiet, the location is perfect! For those driving, no worries—the guesthouse offers free parking and charging spots, friendly for new energy vehicles~
Wabi-Sabi Design, Simple and Comfortable
First time staying in a wabi-sabi style guesthouse, and it really suits my taste! The overall color scheme is creamy white with light wood tones. The walls have a textured micro-cement finish, looking very clean and rustic. The furniture is all wooden, preserving natural wood grain and knots, not pursuing perfect smoothness but full of character.
The common areas have no unnecessary decorations, just some pottery jars, dry branches, and large floor-to-ceiling windows. When sunlight streams in, the light and shadow on the walls are especially soothing. Whether sitting in the lobby drinking tea or strolling in the courtyard, it feels very relaxing. Every casual photo has a great atmosphere without needing to find a special angle.
Natural Sulfur Hot Springs, Private Bath Rooms Are Amazing
Special praise for the sulfur hot springs! The water is natural with a faint sulfur smell. After soaking, your skin feels silky smooth, and it’s said to relieve fatigue~ We booked a private bath room with a hot spring pool inside. You can soak anytime you want without sharing with others, offering excellent privacy.
There are curtains by the pool for privacy. Soaking in the warm spring water while watching the small scenery outside the window melts away all the day’s fatigue. Plus, the hot spring water usage is unlimited. Soak once at night for a good sleep, then again in the morning—so comfortable you won’t want to check out!
Rooms Are Clean and Airy, Worry-Free Stay
The rooms are quite spacious with a reasonable layout, never feeling cramped. The bed is very comfortable with plain-colored, soft bedding. The hygiene is thorough, and there’s no unpleasant odor in the room.
The bathroom has a dry and wet separation design, convenient to use, and toiletries are well stocked. Some rooms even have small balconies where you can sit at night, enjoy the breeze, and watch the ancient city night view—very pleasant. The entire room continues the wabi-sabi minimalist style with no extra decorations, making the stay very refreshing.
Food and Afternoon Tea, Tasty and On Point
Breakfast is Chinese style, including porridge, buns, eggs, and side dishes, plus local specialty noodles. The variety isn’t huge but enough to eat well and be full, with fresh ingredients.
If you don’t want to go out, you can also have dinner at the guesthouse, all home-style flavors with good value. My favorite is their afternoon tea—a pot of tea paired with several snacks and fruits. Sitting in the common tea room chatting with friends, spending a slow afternoon is especially cozy.
Super Thoughtful Service, Attention to Detail
From booking, it felt very hassle-free. The housekeeper proactively creates a group chat, sending ancient city travel guides and guesthouse notes in advance. Upon arrival, staff help with luggage and thoroughly explain room facilities and hot spring usage.
Any requests in the group chat get quick responses. When we checked out, they even gave us small cakes and water—very thoughtful. The staff’s attitude is warm and gentle, making guests feel comfortable.
Rich Entertainment Options, Never Boring
Besides soaking in the hot springs, the guesthouse offers plenty to do. There’s a game room for playing cards or mahjong with friends; a home theater and library for quiet times to watch movies or read books.
The courtyard has a leisure area with tables and chairs, perfect for sunbathing and chatting on nice days. If you bring kids, there are toys and books for children to enjoy.
Overall, this guesthouse exceeded expectations—great location, comfortable design, authentic hot springs, and attentive service. Perfect for couples, friends, or family trips. If you want a comfortable and unique stay in Xinzhou Ancient City, this is definitely the right choice~
