We went to Yangtze from the border town of Hongchun. We arrived by high-speed train in 40 minutes, literally for two days. The city turned out to be larger than expected, and two days was clearly not enough for us. There are many interesting places. We went to the glass bridge; it's an interesting concept, located between two hills. It's best to arrive as early as possible to avoid crowds. There's also a swing into the abyss, a ladder over the abyss, and a rope course. I recommend it. You can also take a trolley back down the mountain. The bridge costs 90 yuan. Transfer to the bridge is 30 yuan. The trolley ride is 100 yuan. Not far from this park are the Pianshan Hot Springs. There are many different baths with different temperatures and contents, be sure to bring a swimsuit. There's also an outdoor pool with fish. Massages are not recommended there, though. In Yangtze, be sure to visit the morning market; it opens at 5 a.m. Buy some local food and have a delicious breakfast. Winter and grilled meat go perfectly together. They put a lot of effort into the meat presentation. The meat is so fresh; it's fragrant even without any sauce after grilling. In the afternoon, I explored a Korean village nearby. Traditional houses, friendly locals in colorful hanbok, and the sounds of Korean folk songs made me feel like I had crossed a border without leaving China. Grilled beef, garlic, and spicy dipping sauces—all wrapped in lettuce—were delicious, and the lively atmosphere made it even better.
