we went down to Zanjiang beach area to see Silver Beach and discovered this interesting and beautiful museum with so much history and artifacts! there was a huge actual ancient ship or boat inside the building as part of the infrastructure. there was ancient life history about the culture of the people back then and the views of the beautiful beach can be seen from the museum too. it was not crowded for Golden Week at all. The water was cool to swim in and enjoy.?

Nice beach and very quite. very polite local people and delicious sea food. k went for a couple of days and it was very relaxing. Go to Shilin beach and have a delicious bbq at a beach comping with a cold beer. The bar name is Go Safari. I spend the rest of the day at the Crown Plaza Hotel a big resort in the beach. you can have direct access to the beach and there were many activity’s and chinese ktv bars. The hotel is huge with swimming pool and restaurants. the view of the sea is amazing. Closed to the hotel there are many seafood bbq where you can choose the free fish! More famous for flying kites you may of heard of Yangjiang, take a bus for 40minutes from Yangjiang City to Hailing Island and you can enjoy the sweet sea air in Guangdong. 🌊Going to the beach is great for ones health and mind - it has so many benefits for us, just listening to the sea you can feel a lot of peace. ☀️Of course a lot depends on the weather and although the weather wasn’t sunny in April, it was still great to be out enjoy the beach! 🧐The beach was somewhat littered with dead jelly fish when I visited unfortunately but I don’t imagine that is always the case! 🏊‍♀️Swimming in the sea is permitted in special areas You will find many boardwalks around the coastal areas to wonder along. You’ll even find tandem hello bikes to rent at the roadside - but don’t bet on them being in working order 😂 Tips If out walking along the coast, just be aware some public toilets were closed down! 📍Ten Miles, Silver Beach Hailing Island, Yangjiang 🚎How to get there? It’s summer in China! Woke up at 5.00am packed with photography equipment fully charged and headed to the beach just behind hotel Crowne Plaza, 5mins walking distance. Getting There - from Guangzhou, I took a high speed train from south station to Yangjiang. upon arriving in Yangjiang I took a didi to the island which costed around 60 rmb for a 40 minute journey. Attractions - Upon arriving on the island you’ll be greeted by the lush coastline. The most famous one being the 10km beach. the beaches are clean and beautiful and not very crowded which makes for a peaceful trip. at night people go to the beach to set off fireworks. My wife and I decided to holiday here because it would be close to the beach. Despite the anticipated 1 hour trip from the railway station to the hotel, we found the hotel did its best to take as much money as possible from its customers. It's on-site convenience store was vastly overpriced and significantly understocked compared to other locations, while access to its pools were charged to those staying on the property. This put a sour taste in our mouth, so we opted to minimise our spend within the hotel. Fortunately, there were plenty of options for food in the local area, and delivery options were also plentiful.
