📷Attraction tour
Attractions along the park road
📍Tunnel View: A viewing point next to the parking lot where you can see Half Dome and Yosemite Falls
📍Bridalveil Fall: The waterfall viewing point is quite nice.
📍Yosemite Falls: I think it's better than Bridalveil Fall. There is a wooden walkway to get closer to the falls, and a great viewing spot → Lower Yosemite Fall
📍Yosemite Valley Chapel: A popular chapel with a waterfall
📍Sentinel Bridge: A classic bridge, best viewed in the fall
📍El Capitan: This granite rock can be seen from the road if you're in a hurry, or you can get closer to it at El Capitan Meadow.
📍Yosemite View: A great spot for landscape photography, with streams, trees, and rocks, beautiful in all seasons
📍Glacier Point: You can overlook the entire park from the top of the mountain. The road is only open from May to October each year, and it takes 1 hour to get there from the visitor center.
The key point🌟🌟 How to photograph the firefall
1. Non-disabled cars park at Yosemite Falls Parking, and follow the crowd to El Capitan. If you have time, we recommend taking the dirt road through the woods instead of the paved road. The lake is a great place to take photos, and the air is better.
2. Arrive at the shooting location around 4:40 pm. There are a lot of people, so you won't miss it. There are many photographers with large cameras on the side and further forward. If you're using a phone, we recommend going further forward to a more frontal location. Professional photographers don't need my recommendation! The shooting location is shown in picture 4.
3. Finally, we successfully photographed the firefall around 5:30 pm! The predicted time for the 2024 firefall is shown in picture 5. Relax, if you go too early, you'll just be cold. There are many places to take photos.
4. Phone photography tips: Lower the brightness after focusing to make the colors more vivid! Don't forget to turn around and take a picture of the golden mountain after photographing the firefall.
Highest Waterfalls in Yosemite 🇺🇸
#waterfall
Yosemite Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in North America, offers a breathtaking spectacle within Yosemite National Park. Cascading down from a height of over 2,400 feet in three tiers—Upper, Middle, and Lower Yosemite Fall—this stunning waterfall is a highlight for any visitor to the park.
Spectacular Views and Seasonal Splendor
The view of Yosemite Falls is commanding and changes with the seasons. In spring, the falls are at their most powerful, fed by the melting snow, which makes this the ideal time to experience the thunderous roar and mist that can cool visitors even from a distance. During this peak season, the waterfall transforms the Valley with its impressive volume and mist, creating rainbows in the bright sunlight. By late summer, the flow often reduces significantly, and the falls can even dry out completely, depending on the year’s snowpack and rainfall.
Accessible and Inspiring
Visitors can enjoy Yosemite Falls from various points within Yosemite Valley. The base of Lower Yosemite Fall is accessible via a short, easy walk from the nearby shuttle stop, making it suitable for all ages and fitness levels. This accessibility makes Yosemite Falls a focal point for park visitors, offering dramatic photo opportunities and the chance to feel the mist on your face. For those looking for a more strenuous activity, the trail to the top of Yosemite Falls provides a challenging hike with several vantage points along the way, culminating in spectacular views from above the valley.
A Hub of Activity
The area around Yosemite Falls is a hub for visitors, with educational exhibits, a gift shop, and the Yosemite Valley Lodge nearby. The Yosemite Conservancy provides guided tours and educational talks that enhance the visitor experience with insights into the natural history, geology, and ecology of this iconic feature.
Visitor Tips
- Best Time to Visit: Spring and early summer are the best times to see the falls in full flow. Plan your visit early in the day to avoid the crowds and to capture the best light for photographs.
- Safety First: Always stay on designated trails and viewing platforms, as the rocks around the waterfall can be slippery, especially when wet.
- Prepare for Weather: Weather in Yosemite can change rapidly, so dress in layers and bring rain gear if you plan to get close to the falls during high flow.

Breath Taking Water Fall In Yosemite
Yosemite Falls is one of the most iconic and tallest waterfalls in North America, located in Yosemite National Park, California. It stands at a breathtaking height of 2,425 feet (739 meters) and is divided into three sections: Upper Yosemite Fall, the Middle Cascades, and Lower Yosemite Fall.
The Upper Yosemite Fall, the tallest section, drops a dramatic 1,430 feet (440 meters), offering a stunning view, particularly in the spring when snowmelt feeds the waterfall. The Middle Cascades consist of a series of smaller, steep falls totaling 675 feet (206 meters), while the Lower Yosemite Fall plunges another 320 feet (98 meters), making it easily accessible via a short hike from the valley floor.
Visitors to Yosemite National Park can enjoy various vantage points to admire Yosemite Falls, including easy hikes, such as the Lower Yosemite Fall Trail, and more challenging routes, like the Yosemite Falls Trail, which leads to the top of the Upper Fall. The falls are most impressive in late spring when the water flow is at its peak, but they often slow to a trickle by late summer.
Yosemite Falls is not only a natural wonder but also a symbol of the park's majestic beauty, drawing millions of visitors each year. Whether you're an avid hiker or simply looking to experience one of nature's grand spectacles, Yosemite Falls is a must-see attraction within Yosemite National Park. #waterfalls
Hurry up! The latest and most comprehensive guide to Yosemite's Firefall in 2024
I planned a 2-day, 1-night trip to Yosemite. No need to rush for reservations on non-weekend days.
The first day, we start late from Fresno and arrive after 1 PM to start taking photos and checking in
The fastest way to get 9️⃣ photos for your social circle:
Tunnel View (get off the car and take a photo just like the Apple wallpaper) — Bridalveil Falls (a 5-minute walk to the base of the falls) - Swinging Bridge Panic Area (don't miss the huge sequoia forest next to the bridge, it's great for photos) - Yosemite Falls Parking, start walking around 4 PM, there are photo spots along the way to stop and take pictures.
Here comes the highlight 🌟🌟 How to photograph the Firefall
1. Non-disabled cars park at Yosemite Falls Parking, follow the crowd towards El Capitan, and if you have time, I recommend taking the dirt path through the woods instead of the paved road, the lakeside is great for photos and the air is better.
2. Arrive at the shooting spot around 4:40, there will be lots of people so you won't miss it, there are many professional photographers gathered on the side and a bit more towards the front, if you're adventurous with your phone, I recommend walking a bit further to the front for a better spot, professionals definitely don't need my recommendation! The shooting location is in picture 4
3. Finally, around 5:30, successfully photograph the Firefall! The 2024 Firefall prediction time is in picture 5, relax, going too early is just freezing, there are many spots where you can take a good photo.
4. Tips for phone photographers: Lower the brightness a bit after focusing for more vivid colors! Don't forget to turn your head after shooting the Firefall to take a photo of the opposite Golden Cap Mountain, it's also very beautiful.
Yosemite Falls
Yosemite's water flow has reached its highest point ever! The amount of water in the waterfall is so exaggerated that friends who want to see the waterfall will be attracted. This year's Yosemite is really awesome!
• Strongly recommend the Vernal Falls hiking route, hiking along the Mist Trail, the whole journey is about 3 miles, round trip. There is a section of this route very close to the waterfall, because the water volume is super large this year, the experience is simply bursting! The whole body's clothes, shoes, and backpack will be soaked, because the wind is very strong at the edge of the waterfall, and there is a lot of water vapor, just like climbing a mountain in a storm. You can take a look at the photos I took. The state at that time was completely dumbfounded, because I didn't check the strategy, I didn't expect to encounter such a scene. But in retrospect, I feel that I have really gained a unique experience!
Here are some small tips I wish I knew before I went:
• It is best to carry a trekking pole, because that section of the road is made up of stone steps. Although it is not easy to slip, the steps are full of water, and it encounters strong wind and heavy rain, using trekking poles can be more stable.
• Wear waterproof clothes, or at least wear quick-drying clothes. Considering the amount of water this year, it is certain to get wet.
• It is best not to wear framed glasses, because the glasses will be blurred by water.
• Prepare clean clothes and shoes in the car, and you can change them after going down the mountain.
Fall in Yosemite ! Cannot be better
