Ningbo’s scenery is filled with the oranges and reds necessary to make it feel like Autumn. Simingshan in Yuyao has many routes through the forests and mountains that can be explored. A ticket here cost 50RMB for the 5 areas of the park (see map photo) we managed to see 2 areas of the park. The first part we went to was Siming Lake, walking around here is relaxing and took us around 1 hour. We then took a 1 hour walk north to the higher area, starting at 6944 restaurant and leading to the waterfalls. This is a 40 minute walk from start to end on a jagged rock path. Be prepared. The nature is wonderful, could easily make a day of the trip and see more areas. All the areas are within walking distance to each other. The redwood forest at Siming Lake in Yuyao, Ningbo is on another level! The beautiful and gentle pond cypress trees paired with the clear blue lake are a feast for the eyes. The boardwalk here extends deep into the pond cypress forest. Strolling along the boardwalk, you can see the autumn colors and the bright colors intertwined to form a natural oil painting. While the autumn colors are at their best, the pond cypress trees are in their best viewing period. Go to Yuyao to enjoy the scenery! 🤗 · 🏠[Accommodation] We stayed at the New Century Resort Siming Lake Yuyao, where you can see the beautiful pond cypress trees from your room. It's so comfortable to come here for a weekend vacation! 🥳 The hotel is located on the shore of Siming Lake in Liangnong Ancient Town, Yuyao City, with beautiful scenery. The buildings are staggered and integrated with the natural landscape, which is refreshing. Our room was a lake view room, which made us feel completely immersed in nature. From the balcony, you can see the beautiful redwood forest and the lake and mountains. It was very pleasant to eat fruit and enjoy the scenery in the room. After a short rest, we had afternoon tea at the hotel, with many beautiful and delicious desserts. The dining area faces Siming Lake, which is very comfortable. The Former Residence of Wang Yangming, also known as Shoushan Hall, is located on the north side of Longquan Mountain in Yuyao, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, on the north side of Yangming West Road, west of Wusheng Gate. The moment I stepped into the Former Residence of Wang Yangming, I felt as if I had traveled through time and space to the magnificent Ming Dynasty. The simple architectural style and tranquil environment made me forget the hustle and bustle of the city and brought me unprecedented peace of mind. The Wang Yangming Memorial Hall houses a large collection of documents and historical relics related to Wang Yangming. The illustrated displays gave me a deeper understanding of Wang Yangming's life and his philosophy of mind. The exhibits that record his life and deeds, in particular, gave me a sense of the wisdom and magnanimity of a great thinker.

Navigation: Siming Mountain Redwood Forest Viewing Area Ma'ao Reservoir Parking is available on both sides, but it may be crowded on weekends. It's much easier to park on weekdays, and you can drive inside. It's a one-way street, so your parallel parking skills will be put to the test. Bring a hat and scarf, as it's very windy. Trust me, you'll thank me. There's also an interesting broadcast (roughly meaning): "Don't walk into the reed marshes and trample the reeds. Get out quickly." I hope everyone enjoys the view in a civilized manner. There's a plum cake and egg waffle shop next to the restroom, and it's really delicious. CNY 15 per serving, highly recommended. Jinyun baked cake is crispy and crumbly, different from what we have here. Also recommended, CNY 8 each. The Siming Mountain viewing platform over there is just so-so, maybe because it was cloudy in the afternoon. You can visit if you pass by, but it's not worth a special 40-minute drive. The mountain road is winding. There's also Donggang Mountain Forest Park, a small loop of 8 km, which can be completed in 3 hours, but it's not as good on a cloudy day. It's a family-friendly hiking route, and you can go if you have enough time (download the hiking route in advance), but the mountain road there is in poor condition, so be prepared. There are many bends.
