First time experience in a car motel in Taiwan - reminded me of one I stayed before in California. It’s interesting but a little poor in terms of reception and service. There isn’t any proper reception counter. Check-in time at 6pm was too late. They were inflexible in extending an hour late checkout too.
There is no proper breakfast - meal is served in your hotel room which you need to order a day ahead and earliest timing is 8am! The food wasn’t hot and the options were pathetic.
We were rushing to take HSR so we had to skip breakfast on the first morning. They didn’t even offer to provide any exceptional service to compensate that.
Mineral water was limited to 2 bottles a day. They would not give more. Cleaning of the room is at an additional NTD$500 per day but luckily they did clear your trash and change towels without additional charge.
The reception was very unfriendly in my opinion. They were not service-oriented at all. If you drive on your own, it’s a good place to consider staying. Rooms are big and comfortable. Doors cannot be locked from outside - they kept the keys for you - which means you can’t leave anything valuable in the room.
The walk to Taoyuan HSR is 25 mins. It’s manageable if the weather is great. Accessibility to Gloria Outlets is great though. The best thing was of course the distance to the airport which was just 15 mins drive.

Very convenient and comfortable、all that is needed for a night. Private individual parking right below the room. Security at the entrance.
The breakfast was nice.
The bed is huge.
Overall clean、only the floor in front of the bed was somehow oily.
Didn't really find out how to lock the room from outside、but maybe I missed something.

The hotel is clean and the service is very good
There was a slight smell of smoke when I first entered the room.
If you want a fixed shower head, you can replace it with an angle-adjustable wall mount.
The rest are good
Will consider staying again next time

The MRT is a 5-minute walk away (if you don't have luggage). If you do, be prepared for an uphill climb. Overall, the location is definitely convenient for tourists like me. The security guards at the entrance/exit are attentive, always confirming room numbers and offering services, which made me feel very safe and well-cared for. The room was incredibly spacious, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable – perfect for a good night's rest. There's even a bathtub and a jacuzzi for a relaxing soak! Unlimited mineral water is available, along with complimentary instant noodles and biscuits. The hotel also gives out souvenir biscuits (one pack of local specialty biscuits for each night of your stay). Breakfast was decent too! It's a popular spot, suitable for families, seniors, kids, and couples. The soundproofing is excellent! All in all, I had a great and very comfortable experience. The only minor drawback is that the hotel building and facilities are a bit old, but the excellent service more than makes up for it! Full marks! There's also a washing machine and dryer available – just pay 30 NTD for detergent and you're good to go.

From January 23-24, due to the K-pop group Super Junior's concert at Kaohsiung Arena, hotel prices in the city center skyrocketed. As someone on a tight budget, I had to look for accommodation in the outer districts.
Huaxiang Hotel Fengshan Branch isn't bad; getting there via Highway 88 is quite convenient, but it's a considerable distance from my destination on Zhongshan 2nd Road.
The Fengshan branch was just average, nothing particularly outstanding, but also nothing to complain about. If I had to pick something, the facilities were a bit old, and the breakfast was somewhat basic. That's about it.
The room was super spacious, the bed was just right in terms of softness, and the pillows were comfortable. Even though it's by a main road, it's not noisy at all once you close the windows! We got upgraded to a family room with play facilities (room 205), which was a shame since the kids weren't with us. They even had little slippers for children and a step stool for the sink, which was incredibly thoughtful. There was plenty of drinking water, drinks, instant noodles, and biscuits, so you definitely won't go hungry at night. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it included braised pork rice, congee, soup, vegetarian dishes, breakfast sausages, fried items, fries, as well as a salad bar, biscuits, milk, coffee, and other drinks... You're guaranteed to be full until noon. The weekday price is really sweet, definitely recommended!
For those traveling without a car, you can search for nearby bus stops. My friend took the MRT to Zhangli Station (7th floor) and then walked.
The shower was fantastic, and the bathroom was huge – perfect for washing away the day's fatigue.
The room was spacious and very clean.
You can also come and sing karaoke with a group of friends!
Great value for money. The only downside was that check-in was at 8 PM, but there's an Eslite Bookstore nearby.
The hotel staff were very helpful and offered to call a taxi.
The best hotel I have ever stayed in in Taiwan! ! !
The bathroom is huge, you can take a bath, there is a steam room, the hair dryer is Dyson, the TV is huge, there are many channels, and you get ice cream when you check in. I can only say that the CP value is incredible😀😀😀
I rented 2 rooms, because of private affairs to the residential area, the room is quite clean and tidy; unfortunately there is no place to hang clothes, I hope it can be improved. The hotel waiter is kind and courteous, if you have the opportunity to stay again next time!

高高aoaoFar exceeded expectations. I thought this price could only stay in a very broken hotel. Unexpectedly, the room is more than 20 square meters, the toilet is more than 10 square meters, and there is a bathtub. Toiletries are readily available. There is free drinking water and instant noodles. The air conditioner is awesome. Although there are not many choices for breakfast, the quality is quite high, and it is not repeated every day. There is a parking garage downstairs, with one parking space per room. It is within a 10-minute walk of Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. There are convenience stores, restaurants, and cafes in the surrounding area. Take a taxi to Taoyuan Airport for NT$545.

GGuest UserWe needed a place that accepted check-in late at night near Zuoying Station, so this was the deciding factor for my booking this motel. It took about 10min to walk from the HSR station to the motel.
Too bad we don't have a car, because we had a parking space! Check in was easy and our room was spacious... It did smell like old cigarette smoke, but the sheets and bathroom were definitely clean. The floor directly outside of the bathroom was very warped from water damage, but it held up under our feet. The interesting chair was interesting, but not put to use.
Breakfast was set outside the room shortly after I rang for it. Very dry sandwich, but edible.
I did make use of the teas and coffee provided, much appreciated.
It's a functional place.
GGuest UserI stayed at Discovery Motel Nan’gang for three nights. While the pricing is reasonable and the included simple breakfast is appreciated, it’s important to note that this motel is designed with couples in mind and is not suitable for families or those seeking a more traditional hotel experience.
The key advantage is its convenience for those traveling by car — each room has a dedicated parking spot right in front of the door, which makes access very easy. The location is relatively accessible by car, but may not be ideal for guests relying on public transportation.
Overall, it offers good value for specific types of travelers, especially couples or solo drivers, but I would not recommend it for family stays.

AAlan & Rendy WongWe booked two rooms, one large family room and one couple room. The prior one is spacious, very well designed and it even has an amazing sauna room which was a nice touch to the stay. The kids had loads of fun and laughter. The beds are huge so it can easily fit 4 and maybe even 5 for younger kids. The later is a bit worn down with wallpaper coming off, stains around the tub and just an overall worn down feel to it. So if you can afford a few hundred NT$ more, I would suggest staying at the bigger room to enjoy a good full stay. Breakfast is delicious 😋
GGuest UserThis business trip chose to stay at the new camp of Windsor Castle Motel, and the overall experience was satisfactory. The hotel is conveniently located not far from the interchange, which is very convenient for motorists.
As soon as I walked into the room, the most impressive thing was the spacious space and clean and tidy environment. The beds are moderately hard and soft, providing a comfortable quality of sleep. The bathroom part is quite large, the wet and dry separation is done well, the hot water supply is stable, and it can wash away the fatigue. Although the decoration style is slightly classic, not a trendy design, but well maintained, such as large TV, basic toiletries are all available.
For this price, Windsor Castle offers a great value for money stay. It is a reliable choice for travelers who need to spend the night in the new camp area and seek a clean, comfortable and convenient place to rest.
GGuest UserThe room is a bit old, but it's cheap and comes with breakfast! There is nothing to complain about~ the service staff are enthusiastic! The location is pretty good. Across the river is the Wen Zhang Beef Soup Restaurant. It's also good to walk over and eat leisurely.

GGuest UserIt’s not in a the most ideal location and I would have preferred to not have to walk up steep stairs, but for the price the room was really large and comfortable, I wish there were curtain on the bathroom glass, stag was very friendly and accommodating. There was a bit of noise from neighbors TV/music but over all recommended.
