Front staff are friendly The location is great, so it's easy to access anywhere. I stayed because I liked the time to enter and leave, but it's convenient.
I booked because I needed a place to stay with my acquaintances and the surrounding fishing schedule.
If you go to the surrounding boutique hotel, it's much better to go here.
I'm going to settle here now. The boss and his wife are kind.
Remember that it was a revisit. First of all, I feel comfortable and sleep well.
I came to Wonju for education and stayed.
The hostel was clean and nice ~
I just stepped on the floor. ♡
It was not uncomfortable to use, but I stayed well for a day
The motel is a quick walk from Chuncheon station, although bus stops aren't as close by. Housekeeping was provided daily but there was one tiny stain on the bedding. Hot water very late at night seemed to be temperamental, but it worked fine before midnight. Toothbrushes and razors were provided. There was water in the fridge as well as a water dispenser on the ground floor.
This is a good place to stay for a short time! The facilities are as good as the photos posted at the hostel and the hostel owner is very friendly! Thanks to you, I tried a recommended restaurant in Sokcho :)
Although it's small, it's also Netflix and there's a small table. It's very suitable to buy something. There is also a water purifier in the public space on the first floor. Please prepare a simple breakfast! It's a good place for two friends to stay together!
It's not as bad as I thought, but too many bugs come in, so I really don't like opening the window!
Very Good

Amazing
__TS***xoGreat location:
5min walk from gangneung ktx station, eateries nearby, a convenience store right at the corner, walking distance or take bus to the central market. Central area but quiet neighbourhood.
Comfy environment:
Hotel is very neat and clean, looks very new and smell nice once you step in entrance. Self-check-in.
P.S. i only found out after check-out that guests may choose the aroma oil at the lobby n bring it to room :] nice Flow-er experience 🌺😌
Nice amenities:
Reserved the spa n movie room while the room is equipped with projector n soundbar, n you get to control different lighting setup with tv remote control, pretty cool! Good time watching some kdrama n hot bath after long journey to spend the night. Love the fact that shower water is strong n hot enough which is very essential for me.
One downside is that the light of the ac and wifi router keep flashing at night and may affect if you are a light sleeper… everything else is great. I love how they have usb-a ports n also wireless charging!
You can also borrow extra amenities like charging cable n hair straightener at each floor locker cabinet.
Luggage Storage
Available after check-in/after check-out at each floor or lobby behind the water/coffee/refreshment section.
Overall, highly recommend with such price👍🏿
Ssunbeam98It is in a great location, literally in front of the beach.
There is a self check-in available at the front desk, but for some reason it didn’t work so ended up talking to the reception staff anyway, which is okay.
While the main features of the room were clean (bedding, bathroom…), the air con unit was completely black with mould inside. Unfortunately I have some mould allergies, and so I had some reactions overnight.
The room also had some strange marks on the wall.. I think that the quality of the room looks better in the photos than the reality…
While I did book this place a little bit last minute (a few weeks in advance, but during peak time), it was overpriced for what it was (150,000₩ per night with a coupon).
It’s certainly not the worst place in the world, but I probably wouldn’t stay again if I had to choose.
GGuest UserLocation was about a 10minutes bus ride away from gangneung station and the bus terminal, but note that the hotel was a 5 minutes walk away from the bus stop. It's also about a 7 minutes walk to the market so there's plenty of food options.
Room was pretty clean apart from some dust at the seating area around the curtains. As the room is filled with big windows and my room is opposite a mall, it gets pretty hot and no privacy so the curtains have to be closed most of the time so that's a pity.
Service was good and they allowed me to check in early when I reached at 1230pm. Hotel feels safe and secure as the lift needed key access.
Amenities was great as there was toothbrush, conditioner, lotion, scrub, bathrobe, room slippers.

GGuest UserAbsolutely loved the hotel. This was my first time experiencing a self-check-in process, where you register via a tablet at the entrance and receive your key card, rather than interacting with a person. It's incredibly convenient and perfect for introverts. The room was clean and cozy. There was water in the fridge, and they provided several charging cables for different devices, which is super handy for anyone who might have forgotten theirs. The bathrobes came in individual bags. I particularly liked the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. I also appreciated that the bathroom and bedroom were separated by a small hallway.
GGuest UserI’m from New York and traveling Korea and Japan for 100 days. Alone.
Last time I visited Gangneung was 44 years ago and this town changed surprisingly.
‘Hotel The Shap’ was located pretty close to main station ( reason why I picked this place) and will see the rooftop signboard on the top of the building from front of the station square.
Fairly enough clean room and large bathroom and most of all, friendly desk.
Clean up teams are friendly and cooperative as per your request.
Price was very much reasonable also.
I recommend to other fellow travelers and will come back if I come to Gangreung in future.
Thanks for kindness of lady owner.
GGuest UserOnly a few blocks from Hanseom beach. Lots of restaurants near by, a McDonalds a few blocks away. About a 12 minute walk to the bat cave.
This is one of the largest rooms we've stayed in South Korea.
It's a budget hotel so I'm keeping this in mind. Overall we were happy with our stay.
AAnonymous UserWhen I arrived I was astonished how close the hotel is to the sea. It's literally 1 minute by walk but you can see it from window. For this prize? Wow
Inside the room was clean, had all necessary amenities.
My only concern was lack of heating - well, the heating ac was there but there were no remote control to turn it on
But on the bed there was heating matt that helped me to get cosy
In the lobby on ground level there was a table where you could eat, water distributor, coffee and tea to use by guest.
Employees in the reception were very friendly and solved my issues fast
GGuest UserHotel is conveniently located in the middle of town (although there is not much in the town), bed was relatively comfortable. The room, particularly the bathroom looks a little aged but everything works as it should. There's plenty of room for more amenities, e.g. a microwave, stovetop which would be very helpful considering there's limited restaurants/supermarkets around. The owner allowed us to check in early which was great. Recommended for an overnight stay on your way to a larger town.
ののーかーAlthough I was staying alone, the room was equipped with amenities for two people. Hair styling products and perfume were also provided. The lady at the reception desk also gave me a warm welcome.
