Motels in Gangwon State, South Korea

"I booked a standard room on the same day, choosing the cheapest room type available. The location was excellent for sightseeing, as it is about a 5-minute walk to the Central Market, and the male owner was very friendly. While the room itself felt a bit dated and the furnishings were on the older side, the bedding was clean and fresh, and overall, I got the impression that the owner maintains the property well. However, there is one drawback. Although the signage indicates that all rooms are non-smoking, the smell of cigarettes in the room was extremely strong. The odor, particularly permeated by the wallpaper, curtains, and furnishings, kept rising up, to the point where I had to cover my nose with the blanket even while sleeping. It seems that steam sterilization or odor removal management is needed. Since I chose the cheapest room for a same-day reservation, I was prepared to tolerate it to some extent, but the smell was much more difficult to bear than I expected. I stayed in room 307, so those sensitive to cigarette smoke should keep this in mind. My parents also run a motel, so this issue feels all the more relatable to me. Aside from the cigarette smell issue, it is close to tourist attractions such as the Central Market, making it convenient to get around. It is a decent place for the price, so I would recommend it to those who prioritize location and value for money."

"I loved it so much because the facilities were really clean and comfortable!! The owner was super friendly too👍 Since it was the off-season, I booked a standard room, but they even switched me to a room with an ocean view, which was great~ 🛁 It was so nice that shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a hairdryer, and even a hair straightener were all well-equipped~!! I will definitely visit again next time😄 (It's great that there is a spacious parking lot both above ground and underground👍)"
