Aria on the bank provided a very comfortable apartment style accommodation. The location was convenient to a supermarket and restaurants. The apartment was also nice and warm on the cold winter nights in Dunedin.
We washed and waiting our clothes to be dried in the dryer machine. It’s about room checkout time. The owner let us wait until the dryer completed, although it passed the check out time. We were grateful to her kindness and helpfulness very much.
Very convenient, with an oven, microwave, and refrigerator, all fully equipped. It was a bit chilly at night, but the electric heater was very effective. It's right on the road. Dunedin is busier than Oamaru, and the beach is just a three-minute drive away, giving it a whirlwind vibe. It's a bit far from the city and Dunedin Train Station, a 25-minute walk. I highly recommend visiting the Otago Peninsula; the drive is incredibly beautiful! The Albatross Centre is a 40-minute drive from the top of the mountain.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good water supply and heating. A very good location that is near to eating places. A complete kitchenette. Will visit again, highly recommended motel to stay in Dunedin.
It is located next to the beach, with a large park with amusement facilities to enjoy. There is also a convenience store and Asian supermarket nearby, which is very convenient. Although the hotel has a bar, if there is a place for cooking, it will definitely attract more people to book rooms.
Located around the city centre, with a lot of restaurants and shops just outside the hotel. Free parking for staying guest, guest can also use their washing machine. Room is clean and big, with free wifi access.
The roses in this hotel are of very good quality and are bigger than fists. The room is also quite spacious, you can cook your own food (cook instant noodles), it is clean and tidy. Parking is also very convenient.
The front desk is Chinese, there is a parking location, but some rooms are on the second floor, you need to take the stairs, and the facilities are old, but it is still very clean and tidy, it is a good hotel
This is the most satisfactory motel our family stayed in along the way.
The room was very clean and tidy, well-equipped, and very comfortable to stay in.
The owner was also very welcoming.
The location of the motel is also very convenient.
It's perfect!
The motel nearby 2 supermarket. And location nearby seesighting, so convenient.
The room very clean and comfortable, and kitchen facility lovely.
Motel has no washing machine disappointed.

Very Good
KKhoThe place is spacious and the location is excellent. It is right next to the main road. After watching the little penguins, you can buy fast food nearby before returning to the hostel. The room is spacious and there are staff on duty at night. You can park at the door, which is very convenient
HHuobatuThe hotel environment is particularly good, the proprietress is a Chinese sister, especially good, give me milk, it is very quiet, and very close to the scenic spot, there is a McDonald's and gas station ten meters away, there is a fish and chips 100 meters away, and the Chinese are also delicious but not friendly. In short, the hotel is very clean, the location is good, convenient and fast, parking is very convenient
TTonyWengThe hotel is in a good location, although it's a short uphill walk back to the hotel.
The facilities inside the room are simple and complete, including electric heaters, electric blankets, and simple kitchens.
GGuest UserWe've been touring around the lower South Island for a little over 2 weeks, staying at motels for generally about 2 nights at a time. The Sierra Motel ranks as one of the nicest we have seen in the whole trip. The exterior looks dated but the interior is fabulous - large, clean, comfortable, and modern. There is a large TV (with basic Sky - would like to access Netflix), king bed, two lounge chairs and a good work/dining space as well as a large shower with two shower heads, and a large outdoor area with an exterior table and 2 chairs. We enjoyed a G&T outside our unit in the fading afternoon sun - very pleasant. Booking through Trip.com also gave us a very competitive price and 25% better that anything the motel would offer, so we were very happy indeed.
CCathngJacqui and Max were super friendly and helpful. The place was well equipped and clean - perfect for my family of 5. Location was great and there was even a little playground onsite.
GGuest UserKitchen supplies could be improved, because there was no dishwasher and no range hood installed for ventilation, plus there was a scary sign ordering travelers not to cook fragrant food. Travelers arrive from all over the world with different food habits, so not sure what's considered unacceptable to cook. The electric cooking stove was old and kind of broken. The windows have no screens so it was difficult to leave them open without insects crawling in and we got multiple mosquito bites. Room on the small side for families as there was no separation. We appreciated the free washing machine and dryer, and detergent cost NZ$2.
AAylwinDLocation: The hotel is in the town of Cromwell and easy to locate since it's on the main road.
Parking: There are ample parking and mostly right in front of the room eliminating the need to carry luggage up/down stairs.
Rooms: Spacious unit with 2 bedrooms (1 queen & 2 single). Rooms were clean and had heated pads for extra warmth during winter.
Facilities: The kitchenette was well stocked and had all necessary items needed for longer stays.
Others: Managed to request for a later checkout time as we arrived in the evening. Also managed to get some helpful tips about road conditions on the way to our next destination,
AAnonymous Userthis was really a no frills motel, all amenities were there bur wldnt say was great, location not bad as city centre was a 5min drive away. we were there during winter but the heating was inadequate for a room as big as this... so that was not really satisfactory
GGuest UserWe booked a studio room. Trip.com had two photos of this room – one with a window overlooking the garden area, a large, bright room. I was sure they'd give us the same or similar. They gave us a studio room, but watch out, no window! The only light was from the door! It felt like we were living in a basement. There's a window that faces the wall of the reception area, but there's simply no light coming from it. Furthermore, the only window/door faces a trash bin! I simply don't understand how they can rent this room for the same price as a room with a window overlooking the garden.
I was very upset that my husband and I were going to spend five days in such a gorgeous city, and just in a basement! My husband paid almost the same amount for a better room as we did for this one. We could have chosen a completely different, better hotel for that kind of money.
I consider this a deception of the guest, both by the hotel and trip.com.
