I really recommend a stay here: * Spent two nights (2 persons) in area A. * Breakfast and dinner was good. (A lot better than the shops nearby). * Really friendly people up there offering a great service. * Room was very clean. We had everything we needed as we spent only the nights there. * There was also a small Great performance of the hotel stuff in the evening. * Got a morning coffee when we left in the morning at 7:15 a.m. Our way up (hike): * Huangshan north railway station 11 a.m., took the bus there to Tankou transportation hub. * Stored luggage there in the second shop row on the right (1st shop, recommend this, no losses). * From there to Ciguang Pavilion by bus from transport hub. Don't get off at the ropeway (like all people) if you want to hike, stay in the bus for the next station up. * We needed 5 hours to the hotel with great views of the area. Arrived there at 5:30 p.m. Down to Huangshan north railway station: * 2 hours 45 minutes from the hotel. * Caught the busses directly.

This is one of the less satisfactory 5-star hotel stays I have had in years. Due to its location, it demanded a high price tage of over $280 a night. But its location is less optimal for watching sunrise or sundet. One has to walk 15-20 min. with steep climb to reach viewing point. In comparison. 光明顶 is a much better place to be. The small frig in room does not work at all. Instead of cooling, the tempertaure inside rised after it was turned on. Fromt desk said they will sed in repair and never did, even after we requested it the second time. The frig remained unfunctional when we checked out.

Hotel was great - particularly as it's on top of a mountain - and that in itself is special! Costs for everything are expensive but fair considering the location. The room is fairly small (but very functional), you won't need space as you won't have luggage. Room comes with warm jackets and a torch so you don't need to bring those things for a sunset/sunrise. We were in what seemed like a newer block so the interior was modern. Shower was hot and decent. Breakfast and dinner (180 yuan per person) had impressive variety considering everything gets up the mountain on a cable car and then manually carried to the hotel. Location is good as it's next to the Taiping cableway but we walked from the popular Yuping cableway carrying small overnight packs. It is very possible in one day! We descended the next day via the Yungu cableway which was a much easier walk. Note the closest lookout for both is a 20min uphill walk with the path starting from the hotel (and another path for those who aren't staying there.) We saw a spectacular sunset and not much of a sunrise. Both were well worth it but of course you're at the mercy of the weather. Receptionists could speak basic English and will also give you bottles of water and communicate weather and sunset conditions to you via WeChat. If you can't understand Mandarin you can use the translate function in WeChat. Free laundry service too but we didn't use it.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at! The staff was amazing, the room very spaceous and clean, the bathroom was huge! Even the breakfast was good (mostly chinese - which is relevent just for us westerns that are not use to it). And the location is beyond perfect, right next to the gate for the Yellow Mountains. 10/10!

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel on the mountain and were very happy with the location. It's a 30-minute walk from the Yungu cable car and close to many good routes. Easy to find with many signs along the road. The room was clean with wifi access and a window you could open. Free toothbrushes, combs, shower caps and tea was available. They also had jackets to borrow for cold weather. Good food! The breakfast had a nice variety. For dinner you can choose either buffet or à la carte. We were so happy with the customer service, when we arrived Xiao Jiang gave us a map with hiking recommendations, and weather forecasts on wechat. When it rained they gave us great overshoes which kept us dry and from slipping. Thank you Xiao Jiang 😊😊😊

Nice hotel at Tangkouzhen. Staff cannot speak English but very supportive by the translate app. From here we can walk at evening to explore the town (lower the bride) with many shop and restaurants. Hotel also have a good restaurant at the ground you can enjoy with ok price. Walk 800m to the bus station to Huangshan.

The young lady at reception was extremely helpful to assist with transport, directions and travel advise. In general, all the staff were v helpful. Rooms were clean and the smart features were a value-add to the hotel. Lotsa amenities and restaurants within walking distance. We left our luggage at the hotel while we climbed huangshan. Location was within the huangshan scenic area which was right next to the transport hub (see image) to the huangshan cable car stations. That made it v convenient if U’re climbing huangshan but posed some confusion to taxi and private-hire as it’s within a gated compound. But all tat aside, We’l definitely return again is we visited huangshan in future.

By far the best hotel on Huangshan! The rooms are large with the most beautiful views and awesome buffet. Our host Mr. Haizhong Xu was so accommodating and attentive and made us very welcomed here. Bonus is this place is where all the giant drones land for deliveries very fun to watch!

Seamless check in and was introduced to a personal butler LeLe for the duration of our stay. He was extremely helpful and attentive to our requests such as late request for special buckwheat and cassia seed pillows (highly recommended for good sleep). He also gave useful tips about getting around town. Having wechat communication with LeLe helped us feel welcome, with a friend in Hefei and well looked after. 🤗⭐🌟⭐🌟⭐🤗

Welcome gift: small cookies and gifts were given, the service was pretty good Facilities: The front desk is not on the first floor, so I didn't know what to do when I had problems with self-check-in at the beginning. Someone reminded me to go to the fourth floor to check in, which was a bit troublesome Environment: Although the room is near the viaduct, it is still very quiet, and the lighting in the room is OK, but my room has a super big pillar, which makes the space much smaller. Service: There is also a rabbit doll on the bed as **, which happens to be a companion to my cat octopus travel companion, which is also quite interesting.

The hotel is at Tangkou Bridge, walking distance 500 meter to HuangShan entrance. Under the bridge is the commercial street along the river. The scenery and night view also good and worth taking a photo. Restaurant serve nice food, we enjoy the food, it's yummy. The hotel owner also helps with carpooling, which make us convenient to go to the train station. The room is clean and comfortable. The overall rating is good. Don't go up to HuangShan on Wednesday, it's free entrance day, too crowded you won't enjoy...scary

The hostel offers pick up/drop of service from Huangshanbei station so it is really convenient to stay. Plus the owner can speak English and suggest the plan for hiking in Huangshan. If you need driver services you can also ask the hostel to help you find one. You can buy water or instant noodles in the hostel or the convenience store in front of the hostel. Overall good value for money, will come here again if I have a chance.

As a frequent traveler, I can say that this is one of the better value Grand Hyatts, and better hotel offering of the city. Rooms are spacious, clean, carefully designed. Staff speak English, are helpful and friendly. Facilities are on point and more importantly well maintained, especially the Gym. Location wise the hotel has pros and cons. Starting with the pros. Located above one of the most premium mall of the city. Hence, restaurants (Italian, Thai, various Chinese and vegetarian options), coffee/tea houses, and pubs are plentiful. Furthermore, easily accessible by taxi as it is near Hefei’s main roads. However, should you need to travel by metro, then the location isn’t too convenient; the nearest metro station is still 15 minutes walking distance.

I came back to this hotel because I found it very good. The staff was very friendly. The price included breakfast and free laundry service. They also helped me find an address I needed and it took 10 minutes to walk to the subway. I recommend it. Also the room is very clean and includes free water.

Hotel is located in a central spot of Hefei downtown, close to everything. The hotel room itself is reasonably clean, however moulds can be seen in corners and edges in the bathroom as the room is a bit dated. There was some loud noise from the young couple staying next door or the level above at midnight, we had to call the reception to remind them to be mindful of other customers staying in the hotel.

It was my first time staying at The Langham Hefei, but I can also say it was my third as I extended my stay twice. The staff's courtesy, warmth and the right level of care started right at the moment I entered the hotel lobby. The wall to wall and floor to ceiling marble can be cold, but The Langham Hefei 's lobby feels warm and welcoming due to the yellow hue of its lighting I believe and its staff. I immediately smelled flowers after I stepped in the lobby, pleasant, not overwhelming. It came from a huge bouquet composed of hundreds of pink lilies, not the pink roses representing The Langham. I prefer lily's smell anyway. The bouquet is by the front desk, so guests could enjoy lilies while waiting for check-in. As a matter of fact, I waited no time. Ada Yang greeted me immediately and checked me in within 2 minutes. I was very glad I moved from the other 5-star hotel which I had been told was the ceiling of the Hefei hotel scene. It took that hotel 10 minutes to check me in. The breakfast experience at The Langham Hefei was also great! The Seasons restaurant is big enough so that the seating was always available whenever I went down, which was not the case at the other hotel. In addition to daily cleaning, House keeping also came in the afternoon to make sure every everything is in good order and ask if additional supplies are needed. After two nights stay, I decided to change my original hotel hopping plan and continued staying at The Langham Hefei. It was again Ada Yang who helped me with the extension. She was warm, professional and efficient as always. Due to my itinerary change, I extended my stay the second time. This time it was Kristen He (XIAO He) who helped me. I experienced the same Langham quality from Xiao He - courtesy, warmth, knowledge and efficiency. She explained to me the responsibilities of each front line role and Langham's efforts to optimize guests' experience.She even went extra miles to ask her manager's permission to give me a complimentary Happy Hour. The Happy Hour is on the 44th floor at The Langham Club where mini buffet and beverage are provided 5:30 - 8:00pm. The staff there, Tracy, Lucy and Anne, were equally exceptional! They were proactive and ready to help. I asked for a Cosmo, but the cranberry juice had run out. Lucy made one with grapefruit juice and it tasted wonderful! Thank you, Ada, Xiao He, Tracy, Lucy, Ann and each every staff I met, you made my stay a memorable one!

The room was well arranged, the hotel staff was very friendly, there weren't many places to eat nearby but it wasn't far from the subway. The only pity was that the breakfast cakes and bread were a bit too sweet, and the juice was directly poured from bottled concentrated juice, but the rest was pretty good.

It’s right after exiting highway, so traffic is not a problem. View from room and breakfast options are good. Bathroom was luxurious with nice jacuzzi.

This homestay is only a few dozen meters away from the entrance of the south gate of Hongcun. The owners are a few very sunny big boys. They enthusiastically picked me up at the entrance of the scenic area and took the initiative to help with the luggage. In short, I found the feeling of home here. I booked this homestay because I am a huge fan of huizhou style architecture and surely the place didn't disappoint me. The design of the homestay rooms gives one that feeling of antiquity. Takes you back to the Ming Dynasty if you are a Chinese history buff. Also,there is a nicely designed small restaurant at the location. The food was great. Additionally,I enjoyed my overall stay because the owner was very hospitable. Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves idyllic antique designs.

It is a newly opened hotel, so the facilities and equipment are very new, the experience of staying is very satisfactory, the front desk service is very warm, the room is large, and the sound insulation is good. The hotel is very close to Hongcun and Pingshan, and not far from the town. You can go out to eat local dishes at night. I am not used to staying in private B&Bs, and I think it is good to see this kind of regular star hotel with a good environment. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the quality is good and not perfunctory. There are no shopping malls in the whole Yi County.

Gorgeous little inn within hongcun. Clean, picturesque, conveniently located. Heater worked well enough but the room also included an electric blanket which was nice. One thing of note is the entrance fee for hongcun is ¥104 for Chinese, 50% off for foreigners. (Including Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan for some reason??) this is completely out of the hotels control and most locals are against it.
