GGuest UserPositive points: Out of the 4 places I stayed at in Ghana, this one was without a doubt my favorite – and it also happened to be the cheapest. The location is excellent; I explored Kumasi on foot and it only took about thirty minutes to walk between each sight, which made things very easy. I didn't have to haggle with taxi or transport drivers who often try to overcharge based on skin color.
The room was well-equipped: a bedside light switch, a shower with good hot water pressure (more than enough even for long hair), a fridge, and my room even had a small balcony with amazing views. There's also a restaurant right next to the guesthouse, so grabbing lunch or dinner was very convenient.
Breakfast was included – bread, eggs or an omelet, and some watermelon slices. The reception was staffed throughout the day, so there was always someone on hand to help.
Negative points: The downsides aren't really the guesthouse's fault, but I feel they're worth pointing out. The property is situated close to a mosque, which means you hear the prayer calls throughout the day and even at night – in my opinion, that's quite inconsiderate on their part.
Additionally, many guests tend to slam the doors rather than closing them gently. This is clearly down to the guests' lack of manners rather than any fault on the guesthouse, though it might help if management put up reminder signs on each floor.
As for the mattress, some people might find it on the firm side. Personally, since I'm based in China, I'm used to sleeping on even harder mattresses, but I can see how it might be uncomfortable for others.
GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay at the Mikaddo city inn. The staff was very nice and the room was nice. It was not the cleanest or newest room, but that is what I expected. It is nice for the price that you pay
AAlistair Osei frimpongI highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting kumasi. The staff are very polite and helpful . The room was spacious and I truly had a good night's sleep.
Breakfast was served in my room at no cost and the Management were helpful.
Breakfast was hot and delicious.
The location is central to attractions in the city.
Keep up the good work to the Management and staff of the hotel.
RRJHarsfaNice hotel in the middle of the Cultural Centre of Kumasi. Lots of different artforms are shown and you can quietly look around. The hotel has many original elements en everything is there what you need. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and there is a restaurant. In short: a good Ghanaian hotel.
GGuest UserAmazing staff with great reception. The dinner set was simple amazing. Try their Jollof. Very responsive to guests needs. The Wi-Fi was back on in a short time after going down. I planned spending just one night but ended up sleeping for two nights whiles still contemplating on adding another night. Easy to get to the town Center. Highly recommend.
OOfosu AsanteThe rooms were neat with good electronics and beds. Staff were generally very good and made up for any errors made. The place was peaceful and devoid of city noise.
HHenganleisi&huaceJohnsonlinjingsonglaceThe environment is quite good, there is a swimming pool, there are activities! Very lively at night! There are also a lot of greenery inside, the environment is good and quiet! Very comfortable, there is nothing delicious for breakfast
GGuest UserThe front desk is very cute and the environment is particularly beautiful. We were surprised when we first passed. There is a good restaurant next to it.
