Pros- view was good, room was clean and bathroom was also clean. Easy to use and get around with parking and the pool and gym was great.
Cons- asked for non smoking room as had a child but not provided and due to this yellowish walls and tabacco smell not suitable for a baby.

The location is excellent, making it easy to get around. The room was clean and tidy, and the service was very welcoming. The breakfast had a wide variety of options. Overall, it offers great value for money and I'm very satisfied! The environment is comfortable, facilities are complete, and the staff are friendly. My stay was fantastic, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit. Highly recommend!

The room was outdated, yellow lighting, no window makes it feel a bit shady. The price was cheap I know, but some cheaper hotels have a better room.

I arrived at 2 PM and requested a non-smoking room, but despite having specified this in my app booking, I was told to wait 30 minutes. After 40 minutes, the room still wasn't ready, and my patience was wearing thin. I was then reluctantly moved to a different room. Once inside, I discovered it was a connected room and completely lacked soundproofing, allowing me to hear my neighbors clearly from both sides. I considered complaining, but I was too exhausted. On a positive note, the view and the location, particularly with its proximity to CPI, were excellent.

Good location near toll and mall. Double pane glass on the southside of the building would help reduce the sound of the thousands of cars and motorcycles going down the main street in front of the hotel and help reduce cooling costs. Staff is very helpful and professional. Recommended!

They have quite a variety of dishes during breakfast including some Indonesian savoury cakes. That was nice.
There are very few convenience store options close to teh hotel. ISo if you want to get some things, it is better to buy them on the way back to the hotel.

• The balcony door wasn't locked and unable to lock.
• Toilet water at times very little pressure.
• The room has a door that links to another room(501).

I don't know how this hotel got a good rating, but something unexpected happened during my stay.
It was on a Saturday late night, a group of teenagers were having party in their room(501), they were drinking and smoking in the room, making so much noise and playing loud music, the worst part was they knocked on my room door 2-3 times when I was sleeping. They were not only making noise in their room but also in the corridor, they were screaming and shouting.
Probably, the counter/security personnel needs to do a patrol after 12 midnight on each floor, especially on a Saturday night, to ensure minimal noise pollution.

GGuest UserI don’t know what to say cuz I am thinking to say about the good things. the most I hate in this hotel is the wifi, it’s super poor. You need to log in with the username and password that was given by the receptionist. And then when I am connecting the wifi in my room, oh God this is disaster. So well, I am using roaming in Indonesia and my roaming went smoothly then the wifi. I even can’t open google. Or refresh my instagram. It’s super super slow. I need to go to the lobby if I wanted to use the wifi since my roaming has limited access too. And the bathroom is just too small but its unique the concept like in the airplane.
The only thing I like in this hotel is the location and the reception is super friendly, and there are many options for breakfast but mostly for Indonesian traditional foods.

GGuest UserOverall, Santika Hotel is quite a good hotel. The location is strategic and makes it easy to get anywhere. The cleanliness is good, and the bathroom functions well. The front desk staff are friendly and always smiling. The only area for improvement is the breakfast. I think the food quality could be better. Sometimes it lacks flavor, sometimes it’s too sweet, sometimes too tough to bite, and sometimes too plain. I believe the kitchen team could benefit from additional culinary training.

TTerry. LFor a layover, Makassar doesn't offer many hotel options, but this one is much better than the airport hotel. It's actually only a few kilometers away, about a ten to fifteen-minute drive. Taxis are a bit expensive to get there, and the hotel doesn't offer a free shuttle service. Remember to use Grab when heading to the airport from the hotel; it's much cheaper.
The hotel itself is decent. The wooden floors and furniture show the wear and tear of time and humidity, so the cleanliness is just average.
Breakfast was okay; there was food available.
