Everything is ok except its location. Although you can see the sea from your balcony, you also can see the cemetery near to this apartment from your room window. If you don't mind, this apartment is suitable for the family

Very nice quiet and comfortable cottage in the midst of nature. It was quite hot when we were there as there was no air-con. But overall stay was pleasant and nice, with a small kitchen that enables one to cook a full meal. But the toilet gets completely wet when showering as there is no floor partition from shower and sink.
If you need a place to stay one night on the round trip of Iceland, from Akureyri back to Reykjavik, Laugarbakki is the choice. Hotel choices are limited. This one is probably a reasonable choice. Compared with other hotels of similar quality in other towns, this one is relatively expensive. The breakfast lacks choices, too.
But the staff is good, as I lost a remote control of my selfie and found by the staff, lovely.
This hotel seems to be operated by an old lady. After 8:00 in the evening, it is self-serviced into the hotel. In fact, it is still very good. The room is clean and tidy. The quality of nearby guests is high. The disadvantage is breakfast. It has an automatic coffee machine that is very convenient.
The homestay is located in the center of the town, next to the church, the bedroom has a separate bathroom, and the bedroom is very clean. The public kitchen is also very large, with stoves and tableware all available, and I will stay next time.
Booked last minute and check in was easy once we got in touch with the host.
Room was a bit small but we were only there for a night so not an issue. The kitchen has a fridge,
Microwave, kettle, plates and mugs etc, which was handy.
There’s a shop across the road and it was pretty well stocked.

GGuest UserThe location was good and everything was clean. But a lady cared for us saying it was the mother and didn't know English that the person who took it was with the sheep and would come in 10 minutes. She gave us a room to choose. We called the stamp because the WiFi was not operational and nobody came. I finally sent a WhatsApp and two hours later sent us the right WiFi. We were okay, we alone but a little attention would have been thanked. So far because we were waiting for someone to appear

ZZahranKeys need to be collected at Hestasport Reception (navigation). It is a drive away from the cottages!
We arrived late night (after first making our way to the cottages and realising that reception was at another location) however was cheerfully met by reception and a very friendly dog! 😊
Pleasantly surprised to find unit aesthetics exceeding our expectations irl. It was comfortable and cosy.
We managed to soak in the hot tub after an early breakfast as we were too tired and too cold when we checked in. It was amazing, though slightly windy it wasnt as cold as we had expected. We also managed to catch a beautiful sunrise. Definitely recommend early morning soak as it is calm, quiet and most probably less popular time.
Hope that you will have an awesome time at Hestasport as we did!
