The room was spacious, and it's right next to Odori Park, which was perfect because we caught the Autumn Food Festival – super convenient for grabbing a bite. It's about a few hundred meters from Odori subway station, and you can also get there by airport limousine bus. The hotel itself is quite large and has a very classic, old-money feel to it.

The room, though small, was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The hotel's location is excellent; there's an airport shuttle right outside. It's about a 10-minute walk to JR Sapporo and 15 minutes to the TV Tower. There's also a convenience store on the first floor, so you don't even have to leave the hotel to get whatever you need, which is very convenient. The Sky Lounge on the 26th floor offers special deals for guests, definitely worth checking out.

Being a luxury transit hotel, Portom really nailed it. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with such attentive service. Special shout-out to a young lady named Miss 吳, who helped us with check-in and gave us a quick room tour. She was so observant and attentive—even without us asking. You can really feel her sense of ownership and professionalism in the way she handles her job. Soft-spoken, gentle, yet clear and firm in her role. She was so good that I felt I had to write this review for her! Other than that, the hotel impressed me in so many ways. It’s beautifully designed, with lots of thoughtful details everywhere. I really enjoyed both the software and hardware. I’d definitely come back again, and I’d happily recommend it to others. This hotel is truly a piece of art. every detail feels so well-thought-out!

We stayed at Toyosu-tei. The private open-air bath offered a unique experience: despite it being winter and quite cold, our bodies remained toasty warm in the water, yet the towel on our heads actually froze – quite an experience! The views were beautiful. There's also an excellent yakiniku restaurant conveniently located nearby with delicious food.

This is my favorite hotel in Hakodate. I stay here for 10 days every time I visit, and this is my second time this year. The hotel is great! The front desk staff are friendly, the room size is just right, and it's quiet at night, which is good for sleeping. The shower water pressure and air conditioning are both excellent! It's right to the right of Hakodate Station, so the location is super convenient. I highly recommend staying at this hotel, and if you book in advance, it offers great value for money!

I’m really glad I booked this hotel — it did not disappoint at all. We stayed in a triple room, which was spacious and well-organized. We also booked another room for two people; it was smaller but still very private and comfortable. The hotel has both a public onsen and private onsens. There are three private onsen rooms available, and they operate on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations needed. The staff explained everything clearly when we checked in. There were also snacks and massage chairs available for guests to relax, which was a lovely touch. The price was very reasonable, and there are many restaurants in the area that stay open late, which was very convenient. Highly recommended — I loved this place!

I absolutely loved this hotel. Although it has been open for some years, it's incredibly well-maintained, and the lobby is bright and comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and spotless, and all the amenities are of high quality. Breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of choices. The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Nakajima Park. In summer, the park transforms into a lush haven of varying shades of green, dotted with vibrant flowers, and features a crystal-clear lake perfect for boating. From the window, you can enjoy stunning views of the park's beauty. The historic Hoheikan building is also located within the park. Exiting the hotel lobby and turning left, you'll find Exit 3 of Nakajima-koen Station on the Namboku subway line just a few steps away. It's incredibly convenient: one stop to Susukino, two stops to Odori Park Station, and three stops to Sapporo Station. The surrounding area also offers excellent dining options, including yakiniku, soba, and tempura. We particularly recommend Fukuzumi, a noodle shop just across the street, which serves fantastic tempura and soba. I will definitely choose the Park Hotel again on my next visit to Sapporo.

Three single beds in a room, with a small seating area in front of the tv, and a desk with drawers. The room was clean, nicely lit, well thought of space lay out. It didn’t feel cramped. There were electrical outlets on the bed headboard, and can also switch lights from the headboard, and headboard also lit up. Independent switches for each bed. I liked that so you don’t need to light up the entire room if it’s just you who needs to be still awake while others are sleeping… The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Japan. So many choices of food and the quality of the food was superb. Served many local Hokkaido specialties, and locally grown produce. A good spread of western, Asian, Japanese food, with dessert, salads, sushi, egg station and pastries, bread. We always looked forward to the breakfast. Served the Hokkaido specialties like curry, ramen, white omelette (special egg where the egg yolk is not very yellow)…, scallops, seafood, fruits…. It was such a delight to have breakfast! The staff are quite helpful too.

Beautiful hotel with a moor onsen spa and sauna. However it is a 15-min walk from the station and shuttle service is limited. Lots of weddings and royal visit at this resort. Twin Room is spacious and comfortable. Walking distance to M fast food chain next door and Aeon shopping nearby. I would highly recommend it.

The hotel's location is excellent, right between the station and the commercial street, making it super convenient to get to both. The overall design is very stylish, a really tasteful and well-designed hotel. Plus, there's a hot spring on the second floor – perfect for unwinding after a day of shopping.

JJesscacaAbout 10-15mins driving distance from the city center. Parking is located next to it (around 2mins walking distance) where u have to walk through an alley to hotel main door. Perhaps they can install a street light in the alley way or a back door near to parking lots coz it is quite dark and scary to walk alone. Breakfast is lack of variety but acceptable. Other than these, overall is satisfied.

GGuest UserGreat hotel in a nice & quiet location in Sapporo. I enjoyed the hotel and its well-equipped 24 hour gym. Front desk staff were friendly to my kids and even assisted us in booking a bigger taxi to Sapporo Station as we had big luggage in tow. The hotel is well-appointed and trendy in design. The complimentary beverages which were replenished daily was a nice touch! Definitely recommended in Sapporo! We will be back!

MMay MoongLa Vista Hakodate Bay exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect — within walking distance to major spots like the red brick warehouse and Mt. Hakodate ropeway. The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely nostalgic Japanese feel. The rooftop onsen was absolutely amazing, especially with the open-air bath overlooking the night view of Hakodate. The free late-night ramen was a nice surprise! Most of all, I want to thank a female staff member who gave us the best service I’ve experienced in Japan. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I didn’t catch her name, but she truly made my stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

YYi ShieanFrom the moment we arrived at Mizu no Uta, Tsuruga Resort at Lake Shikotsu, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquil luxury. Valet parking greeted us, and we were swiftly escorted to a path lined with zen music, setting the tone for a stay where every detail exudes serenity. Upon entering the reception, a majestic wooden carving of an owl, a powerful symbol of protection in Ainu culture, watched over us. In a delightful and intimate touch, we were asked to remove our shoes – a gesture that immediately made the resort feel like a sanctuary. Walking barefoot on soft wooden floors in such a refined environment felt like the ultimate indulgence. Live harp music floated through the air as we were led past a live fireplace, its warm flames inviting guests to roast marshmallows, adding a whimsical, yet homely feel to the elegant surroundings. The staff, attentive yet discreet, escorted us to our room via separate lifts, ensuring our luggage was seamlessly handled. Entering the room, we were struck by its sheer spaciousness. A half-sized fridge, thoughtfully included, perfectly stored all our chilled treats from the road trip. But the true star was the view: an uninterrupted panorama of lush greenery, stretching out to meet the serene waters of Lake Shikotsu. The combination of the stunning scenery and the luxurious in-room robe made us feel like chaebols, lounging in opulence and shielded from the cool lakeside breeze. As for the dining, the buffet at Mizu no Uta is nothing short of spectacular. Where many buffets struggle to balance quantity and quality, this resort excels at both. Highlights included a live dessert station and a live pizza-making corner, where thin-crust pizzas, surprisingly better than those from Furano’s famed Cheese Factory, were expertly prepared. The spread also featured an incredible assortment of sashimi – the freshest I encountered during my 1.5-week trip across various hotels. The salmon and mackerel, both raw and uniquely marinated in glass jars, were exceptional. The hot dishes maintained the same elevated standard. A simple tomato-based clam spaghetti was transformed by the quality of ingredients, while even the sautéed kailan was enhanced with the addition of Parma ham. Local produce, such as the fresh broccoli used in the cream-based dishes, lent an unmistakable brightness to each bite. The combination of Japanese and Western cuisine was balanced beautifully, with every plate delivering a sense of thoughtful craftsmanship. Of course, no stay at a lakeside resort would be complete without a visit to the onsen bath. While slightly smaller than the one at Lake Akan, the onsen here is far superior in cleanliness and upkeep. Conveniently, the bath is stocked with towels, so there’s no need to carry your own from the room. The experience is further enhanced by a sauna illuminated with soothing blue light, adding a layer of tranquility to the ritual. The open-air onsen is another highlight. For those who appreciate the purity of nature, the bath even features drinkable Lake Shikotsu water, renowned as one of Japan’s top 100 spring waters. This thoughtful touch, coupled with the stunning views, creates an immersive experience that is equal parts restorative and luxurious.

MM606647****The hotel is conveniently located near Hakodate JR Station, making it easy to reach attractions by bus or tram. They also offer a free shuttle service to Goryokaku and the Red Brick Warehouses. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The room size was decent, and there's a communal water dispenser, plus you can boil water in your room. The onsen (hot spring) bath is quite unique with its yellowish-brown water, and the outdoor bath is excellent. Another highlight is the second-floor common area, which features information about Hakodate's historical sites. It's a great spot for friends to gather for tea or to relax after a hot spring soak. There's even an outdoor heater. Breakfast offers a good selection of seafood, and despite being busy, it was well-organized.

AAI-KimiThis is *the* must-stay hotel in Shiretoko, hands down. I discovered it through a COCOGO Travel video on Bilibili, and its serene, tranquil, and natural vibe instantly captivated me, making me determined to visit. Shiretoko in summer is all about forests, hot springs, lakes, wild brown bears, and Ainu culture. Here, everything lives in elegant harmony with nature, allowing you to experience its magnificent landscapes firsthand. The hotel's decor beautifully reflects the local culture. They offer complimentary ice cream and an open bar with free-flowing drinks. Both breakfast and dinner feature carefully selected local ingredients; while portions aren't huge, they are incredibly refined and exquisite. From the hotel's onsen and authentic Finnish Löyly sauna, you can gaze out over the Shiretoko mountains and the Sea of Okhotsk. The breathtaking views are sure to lift your spirits and leave you feeling refreshed.

GGuest UserWe travelled by rental car so the location wasn't a problem and not far from Otaru canal and main attractions. The staff's service was superb. The whole hotel is tatami floor. AAhmedpomPerfect Family Onsen Stay with Baby - Ryotei Hanayura We stayed here with our 9-month-old baby and it was amazing! Finding a Japanese onsen hotel that actually welcomes families with young kids is super rare, but this place was perfect for us. What Made It SpecialPrivate Onsen in Room - This was the best part! Having our own hot spring bath in the room meant we could relax anytime without worrying about disturbing other guests or dealing with public bath schedules. The water comes directly from the hot spring and was hot but comfortable. The private outdoor setting was awesome! Large Public Baths - The main onsen facilities were beautiful with different types of baths . Open from 2pm to 9:30am next day, so lots of flexibility. FDining - They do kaiseki-style meals at breakfast and dinner where you pick your breakfast and dinner time slots at check-in. The food was excellent and they accommodated our dietary needs without any fuss. When we needed to change our dinner time one night, they were totally fine with it. Turndown Service - While we were at dinner, housekeeping would set up our futon beds. Such a nice touch that we didn't have to worry about room setup with a tired baby. Family-Friendly Features• Free baby equipment rental: bath chairs for onsen, regular high chairs, diaper bins, changing mats•Staff spoke English and were super helpful with baby needs• Tons of parking space (no stress with car seat and stroller)• Traditional Japanese room with tatami but baby-safe The Room Traditional Japanese style with wooden floors and tatami areas. Mini-fridge was great for baby formula and snacks. Room slippers provided. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Our room had 5 futon beds and a private open-air bath. Location & Practical StuffLocated in Noboribetsu Onsen, Hokkaido. Ryotei Hanayura is part of Toho Resort group - you can check out their other properties at tohoresort.com/english/. Easy parking with multiple levels. Clear signage in multiple languages. 24-hour front desk if you need anything. Bottom LineThis is probably one of the few authentic luxury onsen ryokans in Japan that truly welcomes families with babies. The private onsen alone makes it worth it, but the flexible service and genuine hospitality made our stay memorable. We'll definitely be back as our little one grows up. Perfect for: Families with young children wanting authentic Japanese luxury onsen experience Not ideal for: People looking for adults-only quiet retreatTip:

MM9138****I initially booked two nights, and after experiencing the on-site hot spring and breakfast, I immediately decided to extend my stay. The hotel upgraded my room for the next three nights, and I was very satisfied with everything. There was a tall, handsome guy at the front desk who spoke Chinese. When I extended my booking, he called to confirm all the details, and his service attitude was excellent. The hotel is right by the sea, within walking distance of Hakodate Station, making transportation quite convenient. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options and very fresh seafood. Breakfast runs until 11 AM, which is great for late risers. There's also a large drugstore and a pretty big clothing store nearby. We arrived during a cold snap and even managed to buy some warm thermal underwear at the clothing store. Overall, it was very convenient, and I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.
