Hotel were offering late checkouts to guests who left 5* reviews, so I feel that the reviews have been artificially inflated by people rating 5* so that they can get late checkout.
Location was quite far from the JR Namba station and even further from the metro Namba station.
The bed was really hard and uncomfortable.
Bathroom was tiny, kitchenette had a raised lip which was easy to trip over or stub your toes on. However, the size of the room was good, there was a good amount of space.
It would be ok to spend a night or two here but I think we were there 5 nights which wasn’t great with the uncomfortable bed.
When we checked in we were told a room number of an uncleaned room and had to ring out of hours to swap rooms, but that was all resolved quickly by the hotel.
Also to note, the keyboxes didn’t feel very safe/ secure because the codes followed a pattern (so if you knew one you’d know the other rooms), but we didn’t use the lockbox except for when we checked in so it didn’t affect us, but just something to consider.
Overall it was ok for a budget hotel but I think the reviews make it seem too good to be true!

🌟 **Stunning High-Altitude Views, Osaka's Nightscape at Your Fingertips**
The biggest selling point of this hotel is undoubtedly its high-rise location! All guest rooms are situated on the 16th floor and above. We were on a high floor, and through the room's enormous windows, the entire cityscape of Osaka unfolded beneath us. At night, the traffic lights on Midosuji Avenue looked like a golden river, and the distant Umeda Sky Building and Namba's high-rises glittered with lights. This feeling of being surrounded by the entire city was truly dreamy; I couldn't stop taking photos.
🚇 **Excellent and Convenient Location**
The hotel is located on Osaka's main thoroughfare, Midosuji Avenue. While in a bustling area, it offers a peaceful retreat. Transportation is incredibly convenient; it's just a 3-5 minute walk from Yodoyabashi Station (Exit 13). Whether you're heading to Shin-Osaka for the Shinkansen or going shopping in Umeda or Shinsaibashi, it's only one subway stop away, or even walkable.
* **Shopper's Paradise:** Walk or take one subway stop to Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street and Umeda Hankyu Department Store.
* **Daily Conveniences:** Downstairs, there's a convenience store (7-Eleven), a drug store, and many local ramen shops and izakayas, so late-night dining is never a problem.
🛏️ **High-Quality Accommodation Facilities**
The hotel's interior design is a modern, minimalist business style, very chic. The lobby is on the 15th floor, serving as both a reception area and a sky lounge with expansive views.
* **Room Amenities:** For its class in Japan, this hotel offers surprisingly spacious rooms. There's plenty of space to open up suitcases. The attention to detail is excellent; in addition to standard toiletries, they even thoughtfully provide a hair straightener/curler, which is a lifesaver for women! The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the shower pressure is strong enough to wash away a day's fatigue.
* **Executive Lounge:** If your budget allows, I highly recommend booking an executive floor room. The private lounge on the top floor offers unparalleled views. The afternoon tea desserts and happy hour cocktails are of high quality. Watching the sunset here while waiting for the night view creates an incredibly atmospheric experience.

Good bed quality and shower / bathroom.
No gym or specific amenities.
Mainly recommended for good location.

This is a brand new hotel and I was very impressed. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful with everything. There's complimentary drinking water and fresh coffee in the lobby, and the coffee is strong and delicious! The hotel has three elevators, which is super convenient. The location is great, right behind Kizu Fish Market – you just have to cross the road from the hotel. There's also a Lawson convenience store right next door. The room was clean and well-equipped. The hairdryer was powerful, and the layout of the room was good, allowing us to open two suitcases comfortably. Our room had a view of the train tracks, which was interesting to watch, but you could hear the trains passing by. The lighting in the room was excellent, with multiple adjustable lights, including white light options. They cleaned the room daily, which was a nice touch. If you're heading to the Nipponbashi or Shinsekai areas, it's about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Namba is about 20 minutes away. It's also very convenient for getting around by train, with the subway station about a 10-minute walk. We got a really good price when we booked!

It's been over 10 years since I last visited Osaka, so I specifically booked this hotel nearby. I chose it based on the price, ratings, and reviews, and it definitely didn't disappoint – it exceeded my expectations! It offers incredible value for money. It's only a 5 to 8-minute walk from the busiest part of Shinsaibashi. The facilities are very new, and the service is excellent. The room facilities were better than I expected, and I was lucky enough to be assigned to the top floor, so the view was incredibly open and bright. If I could stay on the top floor again next time, that would be absolutely wonderful.
The room is small but can open two suitcases. The public bath and spa are excellent. Close to JR station and donki. But the staff and hotel policy are terrible and I could only rate it woth adverse comment. First, at checkin the staff did not tell us the spa world could be used even after checkout, so we had no idea we could still stay to play the spa world the next day until we learnt it from other residents in the hotel. If we have learnt it earlier at checkin we might adjust our travelling plan as we checkin late at night from landing. Second,
upon checkout we asked for luggage storage service, which is very basic services of hotel, but the staff said if we were leaving and not staying for the spa, they would not keep our luggage. I am not meaning leaving Japan but I just go out from breakfast or some shopping. I have visited Japan multiple times and stayed in many hotels or residence, and this is the first one not offering luggage storage service. Please do not call this a hotel if you refuse to offer luggage storage service. Third, the hotel prohibited any slipper and every one had to walk back to rooms in bare feet after public bath, this sounds dirty while the staff was wearing slipper. Hotel could provide slippers and require resident to wear hotel slippers only. Bad experience and poor service.

The hotel's location is superb. It's a convenient 3-5 minute walk to Osakajokoen JR Station, making it easy to get anywhere. There's an elevator inside the station that goes directly to the exit. After exiting, you walk about a hundred meters along a corridor to another elevator that takes you to ground level. Cross a small bridge and an intersection, and you're at the hotel. This is incredibly convenient if you have large luggage. The hotel is situated on the northeast side of Osaka Castle Park, by a small bridge, so you can easily stroll along the castle moat anytime. Shopping and dining are also very convenient. Cross the overpass from the park's south exit, and you'll find Q's Mall. There are also countless restaurants if you walk to Kyobashi Station (and along the way). For airport transfers, take the JR line to Tennoji, then transfer to the JR Loop Line (red), and it's just six stops to Osakajokoen Station.
The hotel's cleanliness and facilities are excellent, especially the soundproofing – it's very quiet. The mattress and pillows are just right, providing a great sleeping environment. The hotel service is highly professional, from the front desk and restaurant to the lobby and concierge. The breakfast is a rich blend of Western and Japanese styles (though the coffee was a bit weak). I stayed for seven nights in total and had a fantastic experience.

The room is quite small, making it a struggle to open a suitcase, and the bathroom is tiny as well; you have to stand in the bathtub to shower. The service is decent; they proactively clean the room, empty the trash, and replace towels daily. There's a self-service coin laundry on the 2nd floor, which is very convenient for washing clothes. It's close to Shin-Osaka Station, but the walk from the hotel entrance to the JR lines is quite a distance (my legs were practically dead after walking to places like Kyoto and Nara every day...). I originally chose to stay near Shin-Osaka for easy access to other places, but now I feel like staying in Namba would have been better.

Due to my itinerary, this was my second stay during this trip. The staff were extremely friendly, and their English was quite good. I'm a bit puzzled though – with self-service check-in and check-out available, why are there still so many staff members? Overall, I would still recommend this hotel to others because the location is incredibly convenient and the price is very reasonable.

Very Good
HHeiressjloThe room itself is well maintained and the facilities are common basic ones that I need as a solo female traveler. It a 5 minute walk to Juso Station and a lot of convenience store around. They have a coin laundry machine as well so it was easier to wash clothes when I needed it. All additional things that you need such as toiletries are also readily available at the lobby area. And the best part was the free breakfast!
LLanjingdewanghouFacilities: All the basics are covered, and they even provide a small stool in the bathroom, which is a thoughtful touch.
Hygiene: Extremely clean and tidy. The wet and dry areas in the bathroom are well-separated.
Environment: Right outside is Universal Studios and the JR station, making it super convenient to get around.
Service: Warm and patient. Even with a language barrier, communication was effortless. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.
XXiaoniunaimamaThis was our second time bringing the kids to Universal Studios Japan for two days, and we booked this hotel. The location is excellent and super easy to find – it's right on the right-hand side when you exit the Universal City Station. It’s also very convenient for getting to Universal Studios. The breakfast was decent; I had rice and vegetables every day.

JJenny spaceFor our family trip, we opted for the corner bay view room, which was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The hotel's location is fantastic, with an outlet mall right downstairs offering plenty of dining and shopping options. We added breakfast this time, and the quality was excellent. Enjoying breakfast with such a beautiful view was truly delightful.
55renbangMy friend recommended this hotel for several reasons:
1. It's just one stop from Kansai Airport (KIX) by Nankai Rapid Express, costing 730 yen per person.
2. The hotel is conveniently located only 50 meters from the subway exit.
3. It's very close to the outlet mall, Don Quijote, a large pharmacy, and the Ferris wheel.
4. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the airport (but no pick-up service).
5. The free hot spring bath at the hotel is amazing; soaking in it every night was incredibly relaxing.
6. We booked breakfast because there aren't many restaurants nearby, making dining out inconvenient. The breakfast suited our taste perfectly. The restaurant is on the scenic 21st floor, where we enjoyed watching planes take off from the reclaimed land of Kansai Airport and the Ferris wheel while eating.
7. Our room was cleaned immaculately every day.
8. The front desk service was very attentive, and they had Chinese-speaking staff, which made checking in and resolving any issues very convenient.
9. The front desk provides universal adapters, which need to be returned upon checkout.
10. The hotel offers a complimentary sunset viewing spot on the 21st floor in the evening, with free drinks and snacks.
The only minor drawback is that the room was a bit small, but it had everything we needed!
AAmarFromUKLocation:
Next to Bentencho station so easy access to Osaka loop line and Chuo Line for Subway and Rail. Really good location even though it's not central Osaka. The advantage is that you can still get everywhere within 10-20mins and the surrounding area is clean and safe and quiet.
There is a 7-11 next door and a commercial gym (charged at 1650 per day)
Negatives are there is not much to do in the evenings. But this leads to the quietness of the area and is an advantage
Hotel Room:
We stayed in double room and it was large. Nice comfortable bed with good pillows. The AC was modern and good and did not make noise even while we were asleep. The room is cleaned daily (tidy and new towels) with new sheets every 3 days. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was also very clean. The bed has USB and chargers on either side of it. There is space to hang clothes
But the room is really nice. We always were glad to come back to a very clean and tidy place. The TV has English menus but we never watched anything.
Negatives are the fridge could be colder and the bathroom sink has a tiny slope on it so you cannot place product on the sink but you have a shelf above the sink for this. Very slight negatives for what is a great place to stay
Hotel features:
Excellent. Great laundry room with several washers & dryers. Trouser presses, vending machine and ice machine. A rooftop terrace with good views.
The breakfast is free and is underwhelming, just different bread and pastries with choices of juice, soups, water and yogurt. It's acceptable and I guess it's free.
The hotel lobby has little items you can take if needed, such as hair bands, toothbrushes, razor kits but something nice was that they give you bath bombs for free too. Different ones each day.
Staff:
Very friendly and helpful, even after midnight when I made requests they were very fast and helpful
Overview:
100% would stay here again. The price-to-quality ratio and the large room size make this an easy choice. Do not worry about location, I stayed it Dontonburi area before and alothgh its close to everything, its loud, dirty and feels unsafe. But the location of Porta Inn is really good and super easy to get to central areas (around 10-20mins) and easy to get to the airport (direct line) and easy to get to Universal Studios too.
AAom SayHiThe cleanliness process is not good enough when comparing with the price and the hotel rating. I found a lot of hairs in the wall of the bathroom and the small towel. I told the staff to clean in the bathroom because just one night and I do not want to move to a new room.
The front staff was nice but they solved the problem by using tissue in the bathroom and there were still some hairs in the wall.
However, the location is good within 3 mins from Rinku Town station by walking and there is a bridge to connect with the hotel. Also, there is Family Mart at the 2nd floor.
The self-check in and check out machine is at the front desk but there are many staff stands around the area.
The most impressive service was the free shuttle bus to the airport. There was a reservation system and the driver was police and drive safely.

MMimiPennyAside from the small room, there's nothing bad to say. Check-in and check-out were very convenient. It's just a 5-minute walk from the Universal Studios entrance, located at the end of the main street, offering a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle, and dining options are easily accessible. The hotel provides breakfast, afternoon tea, drinks, and ice cream, which was a very thoughtful touch. You can even make your own orange juice, ice cream, and pancakes, which the kids absolutely loved. From the window, you can see the Ferris wheel and the front of Universal Studios. Very satisfied!
