Well worth the price! There are signs inside the train terminal guiding to the hotel. The staff are very kind, they allowed me to check out a little late bc I felt ill the morning of my check out and was moving slowly. I didn’t visit the rooftop bar or restaurant to eat, but I went there to see Mt Fuji on a clear day and the staff were kind enough to just let me take photos. Overall- one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan!

The room was great. We booked with our child, so the hotel had an extra bed prepared in advance. The hotel's location offers beautiful views, overlooking the stunning Koda Beach, but it requires hiking up and down hills to get there. If you don't book dinner at the hotel, it can be a bit inconvenient as the nearest convenience store is quite far and also involves uphill/downhill travel. The path to the convenience store at night is dark and there might be wild animals. However, the natural scenery is truly beautiful, with lovely moonlight and the bay. The outdoor hot spring at the hotel is pretty good, offering sea views. Unfortunately, we always went for a soak quite late each day, so we mainly enjoyed the moonlight. Breakfast was quite Japanese. Overall, it was a worthwhile trip.

The Dazhan Hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to Shizutetsu, making dining and getting around incredibly convenient. The view from the room, especially the scenic rooms, is fantastic; Shizuoka is beautiful, and Dazhan is equally stunning. Breakfast is just average, so you don't necessarily need to book it. There are tons of delicious options at the food court on the first floor of Shizutetsu, plus an ochazuke place nearby – too many good things to try! There are also plenty of extra amenities available next to the elevators, as well as a microwave and ice machine.

I was initially concerned that the rooms might be a bit dated before checking in, but those worries completely disappeared once I arrived. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. I won't share photos of the public areas as many others already have, but here are some room photos (P1-3). P4 shows the truly beautiful view from my room – you can see bamboo shadows, a flowing stream, and a charming bridge. The hotel service was excellent too. My only regret was not choosing the dinner-inclusive package; adding it on arrival cost 9500 JPY per person, which wasn't as good value as booking it in advance. I had breakfast, which was quite good, and the main dining area was absolutely beautiful. After 10 PM, the hotel even offers complimentary Chinese-style soy sauce ramen, which was surprisingly delicious. P5 illustrates the layout of the Mizunouta rooms. I noticed that rooms 106-108 would have poor privacy, as guests passing over the suspension bridge could easily see into them. I was assigned room 104. While checking out in the morning, I also managed to snap a photo of room 105 (P5), which looked equally appealing.

It was a wonderful place. Quite as I wanted. My room was with lovely details and everything well prepared. Train station was 6 minutes walk and the beach just across the street also 2 minutes walk only. With approx 15 minutes walk you could be in the next bigger area with food shops restaurants and the nice river. I could book a private 50 minute outdoor onsen time and it was awesome. The stuff are absolutely friendly and helpful. I felt so comfortable and had no wishes. I would come back.

The room was spacious. The onsen facilities were also excellent, clean, and roomy. There weren't many people, and the outdoor baths were very comfortable. The premium outlet near the hotel was also great for shopping, and the sushi restaurant we found was delicious.

Absolutely five stars!!! Excellent service and amazing pool side view. Both dinner and breakfast are perfect!! They provide shuttle buses but the timing is not good for me. It’s only around 10 minutes walk from nearest station. So the location is not a big problem for me.

The room offered a direct view of Mount Fuji, and both the cleanliness and service were impeccable. The room layout was a bit compact, and the two tatami-style beds took some getting used to. The large public bath was also very enjoyable. There's a shuttle from the hotel back to Tokyo once a day, around 12 PM. However, since I needed more time for shopping, I opted for the highway bus departing from the outlet mall instead. I recommend planning your time according to your needs.

We were assigned an older room that was in dire need of an upgrade. The peeling wallpaper, fraying tatami mat, and sinking mattress made for an uncomfortable stay. The breakfast was decent, but if you're staying for a few days, I suggest rotating your choices, as the offerings remained practically the same throughout our three-day stay. The happy hour at the lounge was crowded, yet it featured a good selection of alcohol, which was a nice perk. However, there isn’t much to explore in the vicinity of the hotel unless you are driving. For a more enjoyable experience, try booking one of the newly renovated rooms. Otherwise, it might be better to seek accommodation in a more centralized location.

XXiaomuMUSI”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹 In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍

CcometdebrisI stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this. The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this “regulation”. It’s true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan. The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional. Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. It’s a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (it’s quite old and could use some renovation), but if you don’t mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If you’re a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, it’s highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area. Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.

GGuest UserWe recently stayed at this charming new hotel conveniently located just a short walk from the heart of the city, and it turned out to be one of the most pleasant surprises of our trip. One of the things we appreciated most was the value for money — the room rates were very reasonable, especially considering the location and what was included. If you're driving, parking is no issue at all. There’s a parking area right behind the hotel, and the front desk offers discount coupons to help reduce the cost — a small touch that goes a long way. What made this hotel especially ideal for us was how easy it was to explore the city on foot. From the hotel, we walked to the Musical Instrument Museum and visited several other nearby attractions without needing to move the car. After a half day of exploring, we simply drove about 10 minutes to reach Yamaha Innovation Road, which was another highlight of our trip. While the hotel is on the smaller side, it never felt cramped. In fact, it gave off a cozy, boutique vibe that made our stay feel personal and welcoming. The breakfast was simple but satisfying, and their signature dish — the grilled eel fried rice — was absolutely delicious. It’s a must-try if you’re staying here! The hotel also provides thoughtful amenities, including yukata robes, quality shampoo and soap, and even a humidifier in the room — perfect for keeping the air comfortable during dry seasons. Throughout our stay, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were attentive, warm, and always ready to help with a smile. Whether it was providing local recommendations or helping with parking, their service truly stood out. All in all, this hotel offered a blend of convenience, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality. If you're visiting the area and want a peaceful base with easy access to city attractions, excellent service, and that rare feeling of being genuinely welcomed — this is the place. We’d gladly stay here again.

GGuest UserWe managed to book the family suite we had our hearts set on, and the ocean views from the two large windows were absolutely breathtaking. The hotel boasts a charming retro Showa-era ambiance; despite renovations, its historical character shines through everywhere. We only had a chance to visit one of the public baths, and the outdoor bath there offered a truly spectacular view. We also booked a private onsen, where you could enjoy soaking while indulging in ice cream. We had the second dinner seating, so some dishes were already finished. I highly recommend making your own kaisen-don (seafood rice bowl) with ingredients like tuna, trout, and sweet shrimp, and then pouring dashi broth over it to turn it into chazuke. After dinner, you can explore the game corner and KTV, but do note that playing games and karaoke are not free. The hotel itself is quite expansive, so I recommend taking some time to explore all its corners. In short, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

MMIKE0720I was here for a business trip. The room was quite spacious, and it's only about a 3-minute walk from the South Exit. They have smoking rooms available, and it offers much better value for money than hotels in Tokyo. I'm very grateful that the hotel helped me resolve an issue with my booking. I'll likely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Shizuoka. The only downside is that there aren't many dining options near the South Exit; the North Exit is definitely livelier.

Vvodka17This was my second stay here. The hotel is nestled on a small hill, offering a very quiet environment. I booked the pet-friendly tatami room, and during my stay, I could take out pet supplies, making the tatami area convenient for dining and tea. The room service dining experience felt more comfortable and relaxed than eating in the restaurant, which was a plus. Breakfast was just average, though. One area for improvement: the forks provided with room service meals were too dull; it was difficult to spear meat. I suggest replacing them or using the same type of forks found in the restaurant for breakfast. The hotel's location is quite central on Izu Island, making it ideal for a driving tour around the island. Additionally, there's a small but convenient laundry room on the first floor, on the way to the main public bath. It costs 300 yen per wash, and there's also a dryer available.

GGuest UserBeautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!

GGuest UserI was worried because it was cheap, but the room was larger and cleaner than I expected. I stayed overnight, but I was able to eat delicious food at a nearby izakaya, so there were no problems there either. There was no large public bath, but the bath in the room was nice with bubble jets and a light. Overall, it was a good stay.

GGuest UserHotel room is big, with power points and USB ports on both sides of the bed, and they acceded to our request for a Mt Fuji facing room and we were able to see Mt Fuji from our room window despite our room being on level 2 (hotel has 4 levels) though there were power cables obstructing the view a little. The free nightly ramen, ice creams and morning Yakults are good additions. Besides having Onsens and Saunas, they also have a level 4 open air footbath where you can have a clear view of Mt Fuji while soaking your feet. Parking is free but lots at the actual hotel site may be limited and if the car park is full, you may have to park across the hotel at a park’s car park. Gotemba outlet mall is about 10mins drive away and nearest convenient store is less than 5mins drive away.
