GGuest UserThis is a nice hotel on Batan Island in Batanes Province in the Philippines. Batan Island has limited facilities and Residencia de Basco is a very good hotel for Batan. The workers are as nice as can be and do as good a job as they know how. The pool was wonderful and the hotel was within walking distance from the beach. The AC was very effective but the hallways are open air. The dining hall was moderately Airconditioned. The room was adequately stocked with shampoo and soap with a shaving kit and make-up kit as well as two toothbrush kits supplied. The door lock did not work when we checked in but was repaired as soon as we brought it to the hotel's notice. However, for the traveler, this hotel left a lot to be desired. The room was clean but never serviced in the three days we stayed. The restaurant, important as there are limited eating facilities within walking distance, was not reliably opened. The selection of drinks was very strange, with multiple types of beer but no club soda available. When requesting room service, the meal was brought up on a tray and the tray was taken. Since they did not collect the dishes even when left in the hallway outside, it necessitated balancing multiple dishes to bring them back down to the Kitchen. In defense of the staff, as soon as they saw us carrying the dishes (on the next day of course) they ran to take them from us. When we went to settle the bill the night before (20:00) leaving as we needed to leave at 05:45 AM, we were told only cash was accepted. When we paid cash we were told there was no change available and we could pick up change in the morning. When morning came, still no change. Wifi was nice when it worked but they use one-time vouchers which needed to be renewed every time the device lost the wifi signal. About 40% of the vouchers did not work and we requested vouchers multiple times a day for only two devices using perhaps 30 different vouchers in only three days. Since there is no cell phone coverage at the hotel, wifi was the only way to stay in touch. All in all it was a nice stay but with very little effort and training it could have been much better.

IINFINIVAN, INC.From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were professional, patient, and helpful. We arrived at varying times due to shift rotations, and the staff accommodated our check-ins and room assignments efficiently. They were understanding of our group’s needs and provided quick assistance when we required extra keycards, directions to nearby stores, and help with logistics such as early morning check-outs. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, even though some of us had to sleep during daytime hours after night shifts. The air conditioning worked well and was easy to adjust — very important for technicians coming in from long hours in server rooms or outdoor installations. The workspace setup in the rooms was decent, with desks and accessible power outlets. However, more ergonomic chairs and adjustable lighting would be a major improvement for those of us who have to log in remotely and work through tickets or troubleshooting after hours. Wi-Fi performance was fair overall — adequate for emails, documentation, and remote access to most of our systems. That said, we did encounter intermittent connection issues during peak hours, which caused delays in remote diagnostic sessions. A dedicated high-speed option for business users would be a valuable addition. Breakfast was solid, with a good mix of hot and cold items. However, as many of us work early mornings or late nights, more flexible dining hours — or at least a 24/7 grab-and-go station — would have made a big difference. Several times we returned late from jobs and had limited food options available. Having microwaves in all rooms (not just suites) would also help, especially for reheating meals during odd hours. Parking was sufficient for our work vehicles and easy to access, which saved us time during morning departures. Being able to come and go at any hour without hassle made our daily schedules much smoother. We also appreciated that the hotel is located close to supply stores and quick-service restaurants.

AAnonymous UserAirconditioning was making so much noise so I couldn't sleep properly. The bathroom also smells like it's connected to the sewers. Overall, the room didn't feel ”clean”, it could be better. The hot shower is great though. The staff were really nice and accommodating so it compensates for the room issues. The breakfast choice is limited but for the price it's a fair lineup. Location is great since it's near the bus terminal and a lot of restaurants.

GGuest UserThe ceiling of the toilet is leaking, and the air conditioner in this room is broken. It only supplies air. WiFi is not available in every room. I received it in the lobby, but it disappeared when I returned to the room.

AAnonymous UserEverything is so perfect. Simple and people are really nice. Everything is neat, except the comforter is a little dusty. I have hyper sensitive skin and one of my top allergen is dust and so I have been scratching all the time. I guess if you are not as sensitive as I am you will not feel the same. I will still go back here if I have a choice because it is just located at the back of the airport. I love the proximity and accuracy in the description.

GGuest UserI stayed at the mangosuit for 2 nights for a sightseeing trip, and it was a great choice for the price and location. The room was clean and comfortable, though on the smaller side. The linens were fresh,. The bathroom was spotless, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. My only minor critique is that the Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty at times, and the street noise was noticeable.. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Check-in was quick, and the front desk agent, was very helpful with directions. We skipped the hotel breakfast but found a great local café nearby. Overall, the mangosuit hotel offers great value for money in a prime location. I would happily recommend it to budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location over luxury.”

GGuest UserI loved my stay at Midtown. It is at the heart of the town proper and within walking distance to everything. The food at their restaurant is good with a lot of choices on the menu which is perfect for days when you don't feel like roaming around. I did notice my room had some cobwebs and the cable TV wasn't working, but those seem like easy fixes for the management to handle. Otherwise, I was happy with the room and the amenities themselves. The service is nice, and I especially appreciated the approachable staff and notable dedication of personnel to customer service
