FFlorinMMy stay at Hotel Continental Forum in Sibiu, Romania, was an absolute gem of an experience. 🏨 Nestled in the heart of this charming Transylvanian city, the hotel's location was a perfect blend of convenience and historic charm.
The highlights of the hotel were its elegant rooms, each tastefully decorated and offering a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The friendly and attentive staff added a warm touch, making me feel truly welcomed.
Waking up to the view of Sibiu's old town from my room was a highlight in itself. The hotel's proximity to landmarks like the Council Tower and the Brukenthal National Museum allowed for easy exploration of the city's rich history and culture.
After a day of sightseeing, the hotel's restaurant, with its delicious Romanian cuisine, became a favorite spot. The nearby Piata Mare, surrounded by colorful baroque buildings, offered a lively atmosphere for evening strolls and people-watching.
In essence, Hotel Continental Forum in Sibiu provided not just a comfortable stay but a delightful immersion into the city's ambiance. Its central location, welcoming atmosphere, and proximity to Sibiu's attractions make it an ideal choice for anyone exploring this picturesque corner of Romania. 🏰🍽️🌆
GGuest UserMercure Sibiu Airport looks like a well-functioning airport hotel that makes its thing solid, but does not entirely meet the standard of a quite comfortable 4-Sterne-Unterkunft – rather in the area of a slightly raised 3-Sterne-Gef chair. The location right at the airport is really practical, just when you arrive late or go early, and despite the proximity it is pleasantly quiet in the quiet rooms.
The rooms were clean and quiet with me, without any big disturbances, so exactly what you need when it's primarily about sleep and order. The sports area (school) I liked – it is functional and invites to a short workout, even if it is not very large or luxurious.
Overall, the hotel does not feel as high as the “4-Sterne” categorisation promises: some areas are a little older and less maintained, and the impression is rather pragmatic than stylish. But for a short, practical stay at the airport it is absolutely OK, especially when a clean, quiet room and a good sports area are important.
WWishStarSimple, functional, with everything you need.
Ample parking space. Free parking. Penny is 1 min drive away. DIY Laundry 6 mins drive.
Receptionist is efficient. Check in and out is a breeze.
Love this fuss free Apartment Hotel. If you are an introvert that enjoy Airbnb and drive, this is wonderful for you.
I prefer privacy, chose not to have room service and make my own bed. There is a kitchen with everything you need. Full size fridge with freezer to store ice cream.
Only ONE night, there was an event downstairs and felt the power of sound waves, literally. Problem solved with ear plugs. We both slept like babies.
CClairemfalveyThe location was decent, being close to the old town - less than 10 mins. There was a little mall across the road and a supermarket just down the road. The bed was firm and did not have a solid base so the bed was not the most comfortable. I will give them props for two towels to use after a shower. The air conditioning worked well for a hot day but a lift was out of action and a fire alarm went off for a mintue or so, but lead to nothing - that latter thing was not really anything to complain (apart from the sirens were LOUD).
NNicholas DuellLovely historic hotel in the centre of Sibiu. Great facilities, including parking. An excellent breakfast is included. Rooms are comfortable but a little tired.
Jje ne sais quoiGreat hotel

- A lot of facilities but did not manage to use all
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very modern and new. Although it is not placed in the old town, but it's only walk about 8mins to the bridge of lies. And walk about 15mins from the train station. The staff is helpful and will answer all questions
KkonatahuThere were bed bugs on my bed and pillows! It is not acceptable. The staffs are nice to help me change the room. But such thing should not happen at the first place.
The location and amenities are good. The breakfast is also ok.
