A short trip at the tail end of the Chinese New Year holiday, staying at the Tianlai Hot Spring Villa for 2 nights. The lakeside view, warm private hot spring, mahjong table in the room, and the thoughtful butler and housekeeping staff were all great. Plus, the Moon Bay Food Court was super close, and the kids had a blast! The service during the Chinese New Year holiday deserves praise. Despite the large number of breakfast guests, it was organized and orderly, with efficient seating guidance and quick table clearing. The queue for the noodle station during peak hours must have made the chef feel both happy and overwhelmed! 😄 In the mornings, we hiked Renhuang Mountain to work up a sweat, spent the afternoons sunbathing and soaking in the hot springs, and evenings playing mahjong and cards. It was absolutely relaxing, and next time we definitely need to stay for more days! Hahaha.

I arrived at Nanxun 4+ in the afternoon so there was no boat to the hotel. Contacted the hotel by searching the number available on trip.com on wechat. They kindly provided a location that the taxi could drop us off at so that we didn't have to walk too far during check-in. The hotel is located in the guzhen right next to the water so the views in the day and at night are spectacular! Place was clean and spacious and the breakfast was clean and filling. There was a lovely cat that lounged in the sunlight while we ate breakfast. During check-out the service staff helped us book a boat to a ferry where it was easy to get a taxi from there. Me and my friends had a very relaxing and beautiful stay here.

The room wasn't huge, but I was pleasantly surprised to find heating in winter! We stayed in Building 2, and the West Lake was right outside – absolutely beautiful. We visited in February, and there were already plum blossoms in the courtyard. Besides the plum blossoms, the hotel had also decorated with lots of lovely flowerbeds and displays. Xixi Wetland also has plum blossoms in February, and even special boats for viewing them, so Hangzhou is a great place to visit in winter! The hotel breakfast was quite good, and my child really enjoyed it. The golf cart driver was enthusiastic and actively told us about the hotel. When we checked in around 10 AM, the front desk staff told us that if there weren't many people, we could go explore and they'd call us when a room was ready, but we never got a call. When we went back to the front desk closer to 2 PM, we saw quite a few guests already checking in. I'm not sure if they had the same room type as us. Also, when other guests were checking in, a staff member patiently introduced things to them, but we didn't get that. I hope the front desk can improve their service awareness in this area.

I originally planned to book a Marriott or Hilton, but switched to Nanhu Hotel instead. It turns out that was a very wise decision. The hotel's location is superb, perfect for a run or a stroll. You really can't beat it. The design is also very nice; the rooms have a beautiful, spacious Chinese style. The air conditioning heats up incredibly fast, and the view of the pagoda outside is lovely. Someone pouring coffee at breakfast was a nice touch, showing they're moving towards international 5-star standards. However, the lamb noodles, which everyone raves about for breakfast, were just average for me personally. Also, I really liked the red boat-themed ceramic cups in the room and bought some from the hotel. The front desk helped me inquire, and two staff members from housekeeping went back and forth several times during the process – I really appreciate your trouble, thank you 🙏🏻. If I had to point out areas for improvement, the dinner at the hotel was good value and the taste was decent, but the service was a bit slow. The air conditioning made a slight noise at night, and there was a faint renovation smell in the room. But for people who aren't sensitive to these things, it should be fine.

Our stay was fantastic! Special thanks to Ms. Zhan at the front desk for her thoughtful service and help during check-in. She upgraded our room when possible and gave us recommendations for evening activities. What really stood out was when she offered us two warm, yes, warm walnut cookies – they were so comforting and delicious, like coming home, especially since we were a bit hungry! We extended our stay for another night, and Ms. Jia at the front desk was equally warm and attentive. The entire hotel, from its facilities to its soft services, feels grand and well-designed. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of choices. I also appreciate their strong commitment to environmental protection, with trash cans that have ditched plastic bags – excellent!

Facilities: A bit old but spacious and bright, great value for money. Cleanliness: Spotless. Environment: Huge terrace. We stayed in a sea-view king room on the first day, then switched to a family room on the second, which was twice the size of the king room and had an even bigger terrace. Housekeeping staff, Auntie Wu Guoying, was incredibly warm and friendly, always greeting us with a smile, which instantly brightened our trip. Breakfast was also good, served buffet style.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The TV had a lot of very interesting shows including English language movies and movies with subtitles. The bar in the lobby is also very nice, the bartender makes very good MaiTais. Definitely recommend!

The hotel service was excellent, and the staff were all very warm and attentive (unlike some places where they have a poker face). The room was spacious and clean, perfect for families with kids – my little one especially loved the bathtub! The dining options were good; staying on the 37th floor was convenient as I didn't have to go to the 2nd floor (the 2nd floor has more variety but gets crowded). Parking was also easy, either above ground or in the underground garage (it's best if the garage elevator goes directly to B2). Overall, I had a great experience. I didn't find it as old as some people mentioned on Xiaohongshu; in fact, it felt newer than places I've stayed in Beijing and Shanghai. A really good stay!

Really recommend this hotel! First of all, it is new enough, the rooms and public areas are refreshing, the facilities are fully in line with my expectations, and it is very comfortable to use. Secondly, the breakfast exceeded expectations, the hot and cold meats were fully matched, and it was very satisfying. The most plus point is that parking is particularly convenient, too friendly to the self-driving party, and must be praised!

The amenities in the Qingyi Room are simply perfect. The L'Occitane products by the bathtub and the warm aroma from the capsule coffee machine made every moment of my solo trip feel serene and comfortable. The cleanliness was impeccable; the room was serviced twice daily, with not a speck of dust to be found, even in the corners. The L'Occitane lotion and the hotel's green tea hand cream were replenished daily in winter, and even small items like a sewing kit and shoehorn were thoughtfully provided. The environment was so tranquil I could hear my own heartbeat. In the courtyard of Building Seven, birds chirped at dawn, and the wind rustled through the osmanthus trees. At night, I drifted off to sleep with the gentle breathing of the lake, as if the entire West Lake were my private garden. What touched me most was the meticulous service from the floor attendants in Building Seven. Whenever I met them in the hallway, they would greet me softly and were always ready to assist. One time, I had a minor issue in my room; with just one call, the floor attendant arrived promptly and handled it with such care and professionalism. Their warmth and dedication were truly comforting. There's no bustling crowd here, just the calm tranquility deep within the garden. The serenity and attentiveness of Building Seven transformed every solitary moment into a profound conversation with myself. It turns out travel can also be such a gentle reunion with West Lake and with oneself.
