GGuest UserI asked for a quiet room and was placed on 1st floor however in a room closest to the main road with lots of traffic noise and there was construction going on nearby with constant drilling and noise until 4am so I never managed to sleep for most of the night, meaning that I couldn’t get up early to use the facilities.
It’s not the staffs fault, but just be careful when booking.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in need of updating and refurb. No free wifi. Furniture is old. That said, the check in was friendly and efficient and all the staff I came across were good to deal with. I had a meal in the bar. Food was fine and a decent size. Breakfast gave enough choice from a continental style buffet. The bedroom was away from outside noise. Just a bit of noise as other guests came and went. Tired bathroom but everything worked. For a one night stopover as a solo traveller it was fine.

The view from the room was very nice with the lake and mountains. Our room was at ground level so we had direct access from our room to outside which is the lakeside and it was very nice. but keep the doors closed all times after used as it is near the lakeside and ground level. we saw a snake (not poisonous) in the grass outside the room in the early morning.
The foods and drinks at the restaurant was nice although abit pricey.
The view from the restaurant during breakfast in the morning was beautiful.
You can bring swimsuits if u want to use the Hot spring in the hotel. We didn’t get to use but it looked nice.
There is a co-op near the hotel.
The only thing I wish they were better during our stay was the attitude of some staffs. The guy with the bald head was kinda rude to us during breakfast.

GGuest UserHotel layout was lovely, room was exactly what you would need. Shower was a bit small but still good. Bed was comfy. Swimming pool and facilities were excellent with lockers to store your stuff in free of charge. Reception staff were very attentive and very helpful. Foyer bar food was good and sitting area was very chilled. We did find that the bar staff amongst the hotel were a bit rude at times, customer service could have been better in that regard. Buffet at the restaurant was a bit disappointing, not a huge range of food and for £15 each for breakfast and £25 each for dinner; it was not value for money. Location was spot on, a 2 minute drive or 20 minute walk to the Rothiemurchus centre and 50 minute walk or 5 minute drive to the village. Overall a very nice stay and would happily visit again.

GGuest UserThe hotel is definitely not a 4 star. Top range 3 star at best. The room was clean. It was advertised as a king sized bed, however putting 2 single beds together is very misleading.
The Italian restaurant, the staff are nice but the service is very very slow. Took me an hour to get food. The location is ideal. The sports centre is good and spacious. The pool is good fun. The gym needs a complete modernisation program. Not enough equipment and in a very small room. The sports centre could utiltse space more effectively and have a state of the art gym in the other bigger rooms. It would be used well, however this is sadly not the case. I will return and use this hotel in the future. The price is not cheep and if your expecting Hilton quality then this is not the hotel for you.

The food at their aspects restaurant was outstanding. The beef tip was so tender n their cod was very fresh. We liked it so much we went back the following night n was pleased with their rump steak also.
Their reception area was tiny n was not very welcoming custodial service was not provided the second day claiming they were out of linens
Overall it was a quiet 3 night stay n we ere surprised they were not busier

I really like the tranquil atmosphere here. There is also a historical abbey
We stayed for two days and we didn't feel enough.
The room facilities are great! The kitchen equipment has everything, even the dumplings! The cleaning supplies are also very comprehensive, and a large scale of entertainment equipment is also prepared, which is really like a home. (I also saw Paul's bird map book! I only went to the bird watching competition where he was a judge a while ago, so fate haha)
A hotel's intimate welcome gift package, buy some more supermarket next to the gas station nearby, enough to open fire to eat, the family feels too comfortable. I also prepared a small gift for the child.
In the morning, push the door out to the lawn, go to the river for a walk, encounter rabbits, play chess with children in the entertainment room at night, this is life! You can also barbecue in summer.
I think there are a lot of things that can be written here, and I want to give all the praises to this hahaha. This price is really worth it!

CCHANGMINGThe hotel is in the heart of the town and is in a particularly good location. The hotel's Western food is especially delicious, steak and roast chicken are very good. The breakfast is also very rich and very satisfying.
