Reception staff helpful, moved us into room with bath as requested. Room was large, with coffee machine, but bit dusty, would have preferred a regular TV not Internet one, and woken by noise outside the room in the morning. Bed was hard, and two singles joined together is not that comfy. Neither of us slept well unfortunately. Free parking was good. Would have liked to try the pool and hot tub and gym but only stayed one night and ran out of time. Handy for travel to Gatwick Airport. Value for money.
Lovely greeting. All very straight forward. Was an evening check-in so we were tired.
Hotel looked a tad tired too - seen better days.
Ground floor room so didn’t feel secure opening window at night. Turned radiator off to cool room down for sleeping. Was a stuffy nights sleep but a good sleep considering. Comfy, clean bed. Smoke alarm flashing green light was annoying - but I managed to sleep away fm facing it.
Breakfast was just ok - a little disappointing. Sausages only ok. Scrambled eggs a bit rubbery. Mushrooms dry and tasteless. Bacon and fried bread good.
Toast and spreads and hot drinks machine ok. Shame couldn’t take fresh coffee fm machine back to room … there was a notice saying not allowed.
Basic bathroom as expected with shower hvg plenty of hot water … win.
No-one on desk when left … box to post door key into.
We had a lovely overnight stay at the Sandman. It was wonderfully clean and quiet. The desk service was very good and they were helpful, noting we would be checking out before breakfast service and offering us a picnic breakfast to take with us. The only downside of this hotel was its isolation which meant you needed to use the restaurant on site. The servers were polite and attentive but the kitchen was incredibly slow, which was very disappointing.
We also tried the pool and gym which were clean and basic.
A really lovely hotel and country club which is tucked away in the beautiful countryside of West Sussex. The driveway is a wonderful welcome with all the purple rhododendrons in bloom. The decor of the entire hotel was contemporary mixed with tradition - loved it.
We had amazing service which made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a family room within the hotel with an amazing view of the golf course (9th tee) - it was perfect; beautiful interior, comfortable bed and pillows, fluffy towels, great balcony, tea/coffee and biscuits and lovely toiletries. It had a lovely country cosy feel to the room and the entirety of the hotel.
The service in the restaurant was brilliant and super friendly and the breakfast was superb - the perfect amount of choices. The view from restaurant was brilliant, the first tee!
We used the health club in particular the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The changing rooms and showers were clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful as was the family cat 😊. The only slight down side was the swimming pool closed at 5:30pm for children.
The golf pros in the golf shop were super friendly and made us feel welcome.
We were pleasantly surprised how lovely this hotel was after booking very last minute, it was very reasonable and we would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
Highly recommended, thank you very much.
We had a great night stay at Baliffscourt, we did however find the spa busy, all the loungers reserved with towels but few people actually on them. We therefore spent the duration using the facilities which are all fab. The staff are helpful, attentive and we really enjoyed the breakfast! Overall a great stay.
This hotel is a real gem very clean spacious and welcoming on entry bedroom was very spacious and clean lovely big bathroom too
The swimming pool and jacuzzi was perfect and very clean too.
Breakfast had a good selection. And I would fully recommend staying here if I’m the area as for the rate it was compared to other hotels near gatwick airport it really was a real find and I’d certainly stay here again
Plenty of car parking which is free so that adds no extra cost overnight
This is a real find and perfect for anyone that needs access to gatwick airport at lower costs than hotels near the airport.

It is really difficult to find a hotel abroad. It is very close to the meeting place. The hotel is safer and the service facilities are complete. It is clean and tidy. Others do not need to be considered.
English country house, the location is a bit off, and the others are great. The host is very welcoming, the breakfast prepared is delicious, great, great, great, great, great, great

GGuest UserThe room has no air conditioning and poor ventilation, which makes it a bit stuffy in summer. The air conditioning fan provided is a bit dirty. Dinner is unpalatable and expensive.
