We got our luggage delayed by the airline and the front desk was super helpful and helped us to call the airline company several times. The room is spacious and clean. The location is excellent and the view from the room is good too.

Hospitality at this hotel is pretty much non-existent, especially for what I'd expect of a Novotel. It starts with having no doorman. You'll see this a few times in others comments. They give you one water bottle in your room. Don't expect them to replace it throughout your stay though. That'd be a lot to ask. Room service? I'm not sure if they cleaned the rooms during our stay. They did make the beds. That's about all. When I asked where I might find water, I was rudely directed to purchase a bottle from the restaurant. This is unheard of to me. Filtered water should always be freely provided. The breakfast was also quite mediocre. Huge lineup for coffee, no brewed coffee, which would be quicker to serve. Staff not around. For the price, the breakfast is certainly not worth it. Not a great experience. I won't be returning.

This is a nice 4 star hotel overlooking the Danube on the Budapest side of the river. Superior rooms are at the front of the hotel, which is the newer part. You have a choice of River View or Castle view, River view is better and attracts a supplement. Our reservation through Trip mentioned Castle view and River view, but you cannot have both! Breakfast is a good choice of hot and cold food, nice coffee and cakes. Rooms are well equipped, clean and serviced daily. Good hot water. Bathrooms have a bath with over bath shower. Toiletries are provided. Towels changed daily. Rooms have safes, kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. The TV was a Cable TV and had a variety of channels, one English, BBC. The hotel has a bar and restaurant and a gym. Staff are very helpful, we managed to check in early and upgrade our room to one with a River view. A good selection of nice restaurants are within 10 mins walk. The hotel is situated directly beneath the Castle, access by the steps or via the funicular which is 5 min walk along by the river, alternatively large buggy vehicles operate a hop on hop off shuttle service. We found that the Bolt taxi service (bit like Uber) is very good. We has a freelance taxi driver try to scam us by not using his meter, we refused to pay and invited him to call the police. Avoid freelance taxi drivers and make sure they use their meters. Bolt uses an app and was a lot cheaper than the price the hotel informed us if we used their taxi service. The hotel locates at a very excellent location. Many main attraction points around it. The restaurant for breakfast buffet has a very good view. ALL the staff of the front desk is very helpful and nice. I arrive on the morning and they help to check the availability of the room. They allow the customer to have early check in early when the availability of the room is OK. Everything of the hotel is good. I recommend other people to stay at this hotel when they come to Budapest. I will stay again in Hilton Budapest when I visit there again.

The hotel’s location is quite convenient, being close to Keleti Metro Station, which provides easy access to Budapest’s main attractions. However, the room I stayed in (on the 5th floor) felt somewhat outdated and didn’t meet the standards expected of a 4-star hotel. There was even a brief power outage during my stay (on December 7). Additionally, the cleaning crew didn’t seem to put much effort into the daily room cleaning. On the positive side, the check-in/-out process were smooth and breakfast service was decent, with a variety of Western options such as scrambled eggs, hash browns, and sausages, alongside traditional Hungarian dishes. I would recommend the hotel if the management considers a facelift for their older hotel rooms.

Hotel is beautiful and neat, receptionist was quite saucy and impatient. Breakfast was a total trash, expensive and yet not good. There was little options to pick from, incomplete menu, it was a waste of money.

I had a great stay at Hotel President. The location is convenient, very close to Basilica and Danube the room is clean, no noise from the street, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast with some local food . I highly recommend this place. --- Feel free to customize it with specific details relevant to your experience!

The location is perfect. Right in the center of the city. Really near to airport shuttle bus station, 5 minutes walk. The room however was a disappointment. The first room they put me in the bed has crumbs all over it. Asked them to clean, they put me in a new room instead. The bed was not comfortable, the duvet was soo old and smelly. Pillow as well. The worst was the bathroom. It has a very foul smell 😩. I would not go back again. But then its very cheap and location is not bad!

The hotel location is out of city center but there is several means of transportation just in front of the hotel so it can be reached easily the spa is OK the breakfast is very good and they keep refilling it when crowded .the cleaning lady knocked the door we said will be out in 2 minutes but she never cleaned our room didn't like that

My second stay at this hotel. Very happy to see, after my previous comment that it would be nice to have tea & coffee making facility in the room, the hotel reached out to me saying it is available if I ask at the desk. On this stay, it was already in my room. SO good to see a hotel that is proactive to feedback. Definitely my go-to hotel whenever I am in Budapest!

The hotel is next to the airport, which is convenient for layover. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. However, breakfast was basic with not a lot of options. Overall it is a nice place to stay.

It is recommended to live in a little closer to Budapest 1. To be honest, this hotel equipment is a bit old.
