Guest UserThe staff of the hotel was very nice and kind from the very start of the booking process, so informative when I asked about room type and the condition that I was looking for.
I spend time there for 2 days 1 night with 1 room and 2 meals to celebrate my birthday with my sister. The hotel even passed the information to the restaurant staff and they were kind enough to sing the happy birthday song for me and also gave me a birthday gift. The room was cleaned well and has all the amenities you might need. The private bath was very good too.

Guest UserThe large public bath offers a beautiful view. The breakfast and dinner included in the one-night, two-meal package were good. The overall environment is pleasant, and the building, while not new, isn't too old. There's also a free shuttle service to and from the station.

chayaneeiIt's so beautiful, situated on a cliff by the sea. Every room has a full sea view. Watching the sunrise in the morning is so beautiful. The seaside onsen has a beautiful view. It's so satisfying. The food is very delicious, both dinner and breakfast. The hotel helped victims of the 2011 tsunami and earthquake, and they survived the events very well. I would like to express my appreciation. I will definitely stay there again if I have the chance.

I've stayed here about 5 or 6 times now, and every visit, the cleanliness is impeccable and the service is excellent. The staff's polite language and their commitment to ensuring guests never feel uncomfortable truly put me at ease.
This time, for the first time, I opted for a room-only stay as I wanted to enjoy a relaxing hot spring trip without any interference. (Previously, my best friend and I always chose plans with breakfast and dinner.)
This kind of stay is also very reasonable, and given the reliable service, I'll continue to choose Rantei for all my future visits to Akiu Onsen, rather than trying other inns.
Having just turned 60, I'm not sure how many more times I'll be able to visit...

The old large hot spring hotel is well decorated, the lobby is beautiful, the koi is very beautiful, the room is very large, the hot spring is relatively lackluster, especially disappointed is the semi-buffet dinner, I have lived in many hot spring hotels with one berth and two meals, this one eats worse. The free shuttle bus from Sendai Station is good.
