The room was great. We booked with our child, so the hotel had an extra bed prepared in advance. The hotel's location offers beautiful views, overlooking the stunning Koda Beach, but it requires hiking up and down hills to get there. If you don't book dinner at the hotel, it can be a bit inconvenient as the nearest convenience store is quite far and also involves uphill/downhill travel. The path to the convenience store at night is dark and there might be wild animals. However, the natural scenery is truly beautiful, with lovely moonlight and the bay. The outdoor hot spring at the hotel is pretty good, offering sea views. Unfortunately, we always went for a soak quite late each day, so we mainly enjoyed the moonlight. Breakfast was quite Japanese. Overall, it was a worthwhile trip.

The sea view is unbeatable, and it's a 5-6 minute walk from the station. They offer a shuttle service to the station upon checkout, by appointment. A centipede ran into my room... but they changed my room when I requested it, which was fine. I stayed for three days, and the breakfast was decent. The service was typical Japanese, meaning you couldn't really find any fault with it. The biggest surprise was on the day of checkout: there was a huge typhoon in Izu, all trains were stopped. While we were feeling helpless at the station, a hotel front desk staff member arrived! They told us that because we had previously booked a shuttle, they were taking us to the larger Izu-Kogen station! I was so touched! That's truly Japanese service, solving an urgent problem! Overall, it was really good!

We were assigned an older room that was in dire need of an upgrade. The peeling wallpaper, fraying tatami mat, and sinking mattress made for an uncomfortable stay. The breakfast was decent, but if you're staying for a few days, I suggest rotating your choices, as the offerings remained practically the same throughout our three-day stay. The happy hour at the lounge was crowded, yet it featured a good selection of alcohol, which was a nice perk. However, there isn’t much to explore in the vicinity of the hotel unless you are driving. For a more enjoyable experience, try booking one of the newly renovated rooms. Otherwise, it might be better to seek accommodation in a more centralized location.

The service was very good and the place is amazing. Nevertheless they didn’t allow us to have dinner or breakfast in the hotel as they said it was fully booked, and when requested for late check in we were asked to pay more. It would have been expected to be able to at least check in a bit later since we couldn’t enjoy the dinner or breakfast in the hotel and was inconvenient.

Very good experience of staying one night of this hotel.We are very happy and satisfied. Especially the foods we eat at dinner in the sushi restaurant was very delicious and also their breakfast buffet must try the best foods that they served was very delicious too.

If you plan to stay in this area, you’ll need your own transport, like a rental car. The breakfast buffet has lots of tasty options and comes with a nice sea view in the morning. The private onsen costs JPY 3,500 per hour, and the experience was excellent. The front desk staff are very polite and friendly. Many local Japanese people choose this hotel for their vacations.

The hot spring hotel is relatively old, but the staff is very good. The receptionist can speak Mandarin, and the restaurant waiter can introduce himself in English. He seems to be Indian. The hotel is in a very good location facing the sea. However, the hotel's hygiene conditions are rather poor. After returning from the hot spring on the first night, my body began to itch, so I went to the pharmacy and bought some ointment. The floor was slippery and felt rather dirty. The water from the frozen kettle in the room contained dirt, so I did not dare to drink it, so I went to a convenience store to buy water. I have reported the above two situations to the hotel. The soundproofing of the room was poor. The sound of rain on rainy nights prevented everyone from falling asleep. We didn't sleep well even after staying there for two nights. The two nights were two nights with two meals. The breakfast and dinner menus were different every day. The food was fresh. The only drawback was that there was too little meat. My husband and son were not full enough.

Our room has a Mount Fuji view, which was great! However, the location of the hotel is situated on the hill, so May not be so convenient for travellers who don’t drive. Also, if you want to go to the public onsen within the hotel, you will have to take the shuttle bus, which is a bit inconvenient. However, overall this hotel is still a good choice!

Dinner was delicious, with sashimi and fish in general. There was so much I couldn't finish it, with rice cooked in a pot, sushi and tempura. Also, since it was all-inclusive, there were drinks and snacks everywhere, which was nice. I was able to go to the baths empty-handed and there was no inconvenience.

The Fuji Speedway Hotel brought me an unforgettable experience. Located right by the Fuji Speedway with stunning Mount Fuji views, this hotel is perfect for car enthusiasts and travelers seeking luxury. The service was exceptional—staff were kind, friendly, and most spoke excellent English, making communication a breeze for non-Japanese speakers. Check-in was smooth, and the team was always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were modern and comfortable, offering great views of the racetrack or Mount Fuji. I loved the motorsport-themed touches, like car-inspired decor, which added character without being overdone. The highlight for me was the circuit driving experience near the hotel. For an extra fee (around $100 for three laps, requiring an international driving permit), I got to drive on the track—a thrilling first for someone with no prior circuit experience! It was well-organized and an absolute must for adrenaline junkies. The onsen spa and indoor pool were relaxing, and dining at TROFEO Italian was a treat, with fresh dishes and scenic views. The only downside is the remote location, so a car or the hotel’s shuttle from Gotemba is handy for exploring. Overall, the outstanding service and unique driving experience made this stay memorable.
