Amazing
GGuest UserOur stay at Hurawalhi Island Resort was nothing short of magical, and it’s hard to put into words just how special this experience was.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and care from every member of staff. The location itself feels like paradise on earth—crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, and an atmosphere of pure tranquility that instantly makes you forget the outside world.
The absolute highlight of our stay was the underwater restaurant, an experience we will cherish forever. Dining surrounded by marine life was surreal, breathtaking, and truly once-in-a-lifetime. It alone makes Hurawalhi a destination unlike any other.
We would especially like to thank Jojo, who was amazing throughout our entire stay. Her kindness, attentiveness, and constant smile made us feel truly looked after and at home. She went above and beyond in every way and added a very personal touch to our experience.
A huge thank-you as well to Fazeel, who maintained our villa impeccably. The cleanliness and attention to detail were outstanding, and coming back to such a perfectly kept space every day made our stay even more comfortable and relaxing.
Hurawalhi is more than just a resort—it’s an experience, one filled with exceptional service, unforgettable moments, and genuine hospitality. We are leaving with full hearts, beautiful memories, and a strong desire to return.
Thank you to the entire Hurawalhi team for making our stay so truly special. 💙
ZZutisteThis was my first trip to the Maldives, and I chose the resort myself instead of using an agent. The half-board package offered great value for money, so I'd say it was a pretty successful island choice.
JAWAKARA is definitely a resort favored by Westerners; I didn't see any other Chinese guests during my stay, which was a welcome change from feeling like I was in Sanya. The island is quite large, with very fine sandy beaches. The lagoon snorkeling was also good; you can even access it directly from your room, though there was a bit more seaweed than I'd prefer.
I found the restaurant food quite palatable, with breakfast being better than dinner. I didn't try any of the paid restaurants on the island. They offer complimentary snorkeling excursions, which you can book yourself. I participated in the paid fishing trip and the glass-bottom boat tour, both of which were enjoyable. All the staff on the island were very friendly.
Our butler, Mohamed, was excellent, very attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed, so I made sure to tip him upon check-out. This island might not be the best choice for those with limited English skills, as there are no Chinese-speaking butlers, and some of the staff have accents which can make communication a bit challenging. However, the value for money is truly exceptional, making it a great option for a first-time overwater bungalow experience in the Maldives.
GGuest UserThe vacation with the kids is over. It is a bit far from the expectation. I am a little disappointed. The whole island is small and quiet. There is no entertainment with the kids. The restaurant is also small. There is one buffet restaurant and one person who orders food. If it is not a package, the 26% service fee is really expensive. There is only one car for the whole island. The housekeeper said that you have to ”grab” it. The only convenience is that there is a Chinese housekeeper. The communication is smooth throughout the trip. The service is also OK. If you encounter problems, they will actively solve them. It is the most satisfactory point of the whole trip.
GGuest UserEin kleines Paradies!
GGuest UserThe price is not very cheap, but it is relatively balanced in all aspects. There are few Chinese guests and no Chinese service staff, so guests need to be able to communicate in English. The dinner dishes are average, and the breakfast is relatively rich. There are not many entertainments on the island itself, and the sea projects are okay but the price is not cheap. The hotel service is in place and the staff are well-trained.
MMINGXIAThe price/performance ratio is really high. When Ctrip is marked, it does not include breakfast. The hotel order is for three meals. Everyone is free to eat for three meals. Bar drinking is also free! It’s cool! Hotel service is general, it feels better to be humanized. Wi-Fi is limited to 500MB per day, and if it exceeds, it will cost $15/day. Then the hotel room recommended beach villas, much better than the water house, but also new, and cheap. Going out to the beach to snorkel, the island's biggest feature is the best snorkeling, you can see the big devil fish, small sharks, good luck can also see the big turtle! Then the island's entertainment programs are also very rich, there are three bars and swimming pools, there are different themes every day, remember to bring a shirt, and the grandmothers who are more than 70 in the evening are all dressed up to drink haha...
FFrancesco-Ideal structure for those who want to relax and have a holiday in a truly quiet, elegant and pleasant place.
Below I will try to give a brief summary of what the property offered us during our stay.
ROOM:
our room was the ”villa lagoon” type room. They are rooms on the side where the sun rises built directly on the water. The room is very spacious and comfortable with a terrace for the exclusive use of the room and with ladders for direct access to the sea, as per the attached photos. Bathroom with shower, sink, bidet and toilet. In the room there is also a minibar with soft drinks (offered if booked with an all-inclusive formula) and alcohol, a coffee machine and a kettle.
RESTAURANT:
In the main restaurant breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack during tea time and dinner are served. Everything is buffet style. The buffets are very large and varied in such a way as to satisfy all tastes.
During the various days of the week, at dinner, a ”theme” of the dinner is proposed. We happened to eat at the Italian, Maldivian, Japanese, Mediterranean, Moroccan and Indian evening.
BEACH:
if you want you can also go to the beach and take advantage of the umbrellas and deckchairs available in several places on the island. Towels to place on the deckchairs are also provided.
BEACH BAR:
on the main beach there is a bar open practically always until after dinner where it is possible to have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. If you have the all-inclusive formula like we did, you can get many types of drinks and cocktails for free.
EXCURSIONS AND ACTIVITIES:
the structure also organizes many excursions (almost all for a fee). I think this is the only thing we appreciated less about our stay as we would have liked to have had more excursions available. Furthermore, if they are canceled in case of bad weather you have to rebook (places are always limited) every time.
Activities are then organized on the beach and on the island (but even here they are not always all free).
DEPARTURE LOUNGE:
The structure is also equipped with a departure lounge, complete with showers and bathrooms which you can use on the day of check in in case of an afternoon flight.
SEAPLANE:
The property must be reached via seaplane transfer (not included in the price of the stay) lasting approximately 35 - 40 minutes (if a direct flight, sometimes it also stops at other resorts and takes a little longer).
Therefore, also take this cost into account when booking.
Overall, the evaluation of the structure and our stay remains truly satisfactory and recommended!
I have also attached some photos... I hope they can be useful to you!
DDONGYANWe stayed for five nights with one night in beach villa, the hotel was kind enough to upgrade it to water villa.
The most remarkable feature of this island is bare foot. As it sited on the island, 'If you're wearing more than bare foot, you are overdressed. '
We experienced a very kind and honest welcome ceremony, with some locals dancing and playing drums. All the waiters and waitresses are very friendly, always makes us feel like talking to our old friends. Especially whenever we are in the restaurant or in bar, they will come over and have some sweet small talks, just like family, even all the guests will have warm small talks as well.
There are barely no Asian on the island, only one of the waiter can speak a few Chinese words. However, English works perfectly fine on this island.
The beach was white and beautiful, water is very clear with many colourful fish. If you're lucky enough, you might see some baby reef sharks and turtles. Unfortunately, most corals have died, but many fish still live there.
Here's a beautiful infinitely pool, the hotel must have put some essential oil in it so that it has a light lemongrass smell.
There is a once a week Maldivians' night, some locals will dress up, performance and party with guests.
The only flaw of our stay is that some wood on this island has aged, we got wood pieces stuck into our skin for twice, though hotel dealt with our wounds and sanded those stairs ASAP.
BTW, kids are not welcomed on this island.
GGuest UserI came to Kanuhula with my girlfriend during the Spring Festival holiday and had a very good five days of memories. From the airport landing, I felt the warm service of the hotel. The hotel staff picked up the Six Sense brand and took less than 10 minutes to take the car to the hotel's exclusive rest room to wait for the water to fly (it takes 45 minutes to fly to the island).
The service at the hotel was the most comfortable for us, our housekeeper Ardana was very welcoming and could get her help anytime via the room phone, she actively booked our restaurant and daily activities and answered our questions. Every staff member on the island greets you when you see you.
The environment of the hotel is very beautiful. There will be sea grass in some places, but there are also clear and pure blue lagoons everywhere. The water ecology next to it is not bad. We snorkeled near the water house. There are many small fish in the coral area. There are also larger fish nearby from time to time.
The hotel has a lot of activities every day, some are free, some extra charges, the common thing is that it is very interesting, even if you don't go to the sea or during the day when the weather is very hot, there are activities to experience.
The food here is delicious, the four restaurants on the island our favorite is the Italian restaurant and the market Buffet, we stayed for five days, experienced every restaurant, and went to the drift of the nearby island for lunch, not bored or disappointed. It is worth mentioning that the unlimited supply of Scoop ice cream after 12 noon every day is always very happy to think of it.
