I stayed at this hotel for three nights in Christchurch. Overall, it maintained Hilton's usual high standards and was generally satisfying. **Ambiance:** The hotel is beautiful, with vibrant flowers in the garden. Enjoying breakfast in the restaurant with a view of the garden outside the window was a real pleasure. The hotel is also very close to the city center. On a sunny day, it was lovely to walk to the city center, visit the Botanic Gardens, the Arts Centre, the Riverside Market, and the Cardboard Cathedral, all while strolling along the Avon River. I managed to check off many attractions without even realizing it. **Cleanliness:** Housekeeping was prompt, and the room was clean and tidy. I didn't find any dirty spots. **Facilities:** The hotel seems to be a bit old, so the facilities aren't brand new, but they are sufficient and well-equipped, including a hairdryer, iron, kettle, refrigerator, and air conditioning – enough for a short stay. The room's balcony was also nice, overlooking a lawn, perfect for some peaceful relaxation. The only drawback was the poor soundproofing in the room. The room next door frequently opened and closed their door, sometimes more than ten times between 10 PM and 1 AM, and at one point, it was every ten minutes or so. Each time, it made a huge noise that felt like the bed was shaking, waking me up multiple times. I even started to wonder if countless people were staying next door. This kind of thing is really down to luck, but better sound insulation would have made for a less disturbing stay. **Service:** The front desk staff were very polite and enthusiastic during both check-in and check-out, which left a great impression. We were given two bottles of water and two warm cookies upon check-in, which was a thoughtful touch. The only thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was the suspected subtle racial discrimination from the restaurant's reception staff. I stayed here for three days and saw many other Chinese tourists. Not once did I hear the staff say goodbye or thank you to us when we left the restaurant. They would just stand there, pretending not to see us, but then smile and thank the Caucasian guests walking behind us. This happened every single time for three days, and they pretended not to see other Chinese guests leaving too. I have to wonder, is this how the hotel trains its staff? To provide different service based on race? These staff members, who were older and positioned at the restaurant entrance for greeting and guiding, were not the young, busy servers inside the restaurant, who did a great job. Based on this subtle differential treatment, I can only give the service three stars, no more.

We were two families staying together. The 3 bedrooms plus a storage room were very convenient, and having a washer and dryer was a big plus. It's within walking distance to the Church of the Good Shepherd, and just a short drive to the city center. The only downside is that there were a lot of bugs outside the house in the summer, so it's best to keep the windows closed.

The accommodation is very beautiful. Early check-in Free of charge A lot of parking At first, I got a 2nd floor accommodation, but there was no elevator, so I asked to change to the 1st floor because there are many bags and very heavy. The staff is very good. But quite out of the city, about 10 minutes drive, overall okay.

I stayed here on the last night of my return home. The house on the upper and lower floors, we had a lot of fun, and forgot to book the hotel, we couldn’t book a suitable place one day in advance. This house is expensive and the two people live a little extravagant, but away from Avon. Very close to Hagley Park for easy shopping.

Suitable for taking children. Our room sleeps 5 people, 3 single beds and 1 double bed. There is a kitchen in the room, the pots and pans are all complete, and there is a refrigerator for your own simple dishes. The hotel is very close to the city centre. Remember to bring toiletries, shower gel, shampoo.

Very good homestay, the host is very thoughtful. The house is clean and tidy, and the facilities are perfect. The location is only ten minutes drive from the airport, very close, but almost no noise can be heard. The breakfast is very rich and the cake is very delicious. The key is that the bed and quilt are very comfortable, and it is really a rare good night's sleep here. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Christchurch. Everything is perfect in this place. It's just ten mins drove to the airport but you can bearly hear the noise in the house. Everything in the house is clean, tidy and very much home alike. The breakfast was well prepared and the cakes were just delicious. Above all, the bed and duvet was sooooo comfortable that I had the best sleep in my whole trip! I would definitely stay here if I came to Christchurch again!

Lovely little cabin with a brilliant view of the mountains. One problem is that unless you book an en-suite you have to walk about 100m in the freezing cold to go to the loo, and the cabin that I stayed in didn’t have any central heating only a small useless radiator. This meant I had to sleep in my clothes as it was freezing!! Also no pots or pan or cutlery or even plates provided so you’ll have to eat out unless you bring your own.

This hotel is one of the better options in Kaikoura for whale watching. It offers free parking, and if the lot is full, you can also park for free on the roadside by the sea. The restaurant downstairs is excellent. After whale watching, we didn't want to go far, so we just had dinner there. As for the room, it's on par with domestic Quanji or Atour hotels, but not quite five-star. Still, for this area, you can't be too picky. It was clean and comfortable, which is what matters.

This hotel boasts a traditional English architectural style, with spacious and comfortable rooms. While the restaurant prices aren't cheap, the food is delicious. The location is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of Christchurch. The old Catholic church, which was partially damaged by an earthquake and is still under renovation, is right on its doorstep. It's also just a five-minute walk to the vintage tram stop where you can catch the hop-on-hop-off city tour. The surrounding area is beautiful and pleasant, perfect for a stroll to explore the city.

This is a very luxurious and expansive hotel with many rooms. Staff helped us with our luggage to our room, which was quite a long walk. The room itself was huge, featuring a living room, a dining table, and a small door leading to an outdoor area. The surroundings were lovely with plenty of greenery. Breakfast was standard, but the female server in the restaurant had a very poor attitude, acting flippant and chatting with colleagues throughout her shift. Other staff members, however, were very friendly, and there's a free shuttle service to the airport.
