This is really a great deal in Siargao! The price is affordable but it is of great value. The room is very clean and elegant, and the furnitures/equioments are relatively new and modern. Hot shower is available and the bathroom has a japanese toilet. The hotel is located just near tourism road, so the restaurants and bars are very accessible. Breakfast is buffet style and is good for the price. They do not have a lot of staffs, but the staffs there are coourteous and friendly. We originally booked it for 3 days planning to chnage hotel, but we extended to a week since it is really a good deal.

Honestly expected better from this resort accommodation since my friends recommended to stay here. The staff were not attentive or even showing us kind hospitality. They were a bit snobbish and when we went for a massage in their massage center, instead of us relaxed at the end of our trip, my boyfriend experienced a knotted shoulder instead. I am of Filipino descent but didn’t grow up in the country and have different passport, when checking in, the staff asked me for a valid ID in Filipino but of course I presented my passport but she rolled her eyes at me the minute she saw that o have a passport than her assumed “ Valid ID “. I just felt so much bitterness or judgment from all the staff here because English is my native language and I barely speak Filipino growing up and in my daily life so their attitude completely changes towards me cause they think I’m just pretending or being pretentious.

The resort is spacious and we needed to ride a golf cart to get to the room. We could always walk but the pathway to the rooms are not ideal for luggages. The room we booked was great and had a smart TV (but you need your own credentials to log-in). It was also spacious and cozy. The pool is not that big but was good enough. The kiddie pool is nice since it’s not that deep and the water slide is a nice touch. The kids playground was also something that kids would enjoy. Wifi is also strong in all areas. The only hiccup in our stay was the breakfast buffet. They ran out of most food even though it was still ~8AM and refill took a bit longer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would visit again soon.

It is an unexpectedly good hotel. Originally rushed to the Internet celebrity Bayud, but after seeing the house, I felt that the price of Bayud was high and the room was small, so I turned my head and looked for this one on the same beach, and I was very satisfied! The style of the hotel is more traditional, all room types are the same and facing the sea! There is no pressure to choose barriers to stay. The whole room and living room are well-lit, very quiet, large floor-to-ceiling windows, fully equipped, from surround sound bluetooth speakers, water dispenser, refrigerator, coffee machine, everything is available, facing the sea in the morning, waking up in the sun, sitting in the living room listening to music and eating breakfast (Room service is available) The experience is great. Before leaving, the lady boss arranged for me to have lunch in the seaside pavilion. I was in a hurry when I checked in. The proprietress still arranged very meticulously. I have stayed in many hotels. This is the only one to send a welcome letter. There are also serious fruits on the plate. The Korean food in the restaurant is easier to meet the Chinese taste. Invited me and my friends to join their barbecue dinner, the Mindanao beef served in the shop is too plump and juicy! Come again next time

I had an incredible stay at this Hostel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was super friendly and made me feel welcome. The atmosphere was perfect for meeting other travelers, with plenty of social events and a great common area.

The service is great, The room is average, the bed creaks when you turn over at night, there are mice running around in the attic 😂 ants are also unavoidable, the shower water is very small, The hotel has a restaurant with good pizza, but it is difficult to call a taxi at the door, you have to walk 100 meters to the main road!

Kalipay is conveniently located along the main road, walking distance from CEV (the best ceviche in Siargao) and Happiness Bar (best happy hour deal). The resort is quiet, has a nice pool and the rooms are clean. The staff are amazing — friendly, accommodating and extra helpful. The receptionist, Kim, took really good care of us.

Service was very good. For meals, I ate all kinds of smoothie bowls, but acai was the most delicious. The room was nice and clean, but I wish there was a way to prevent insects from coming. There were many mosquitoes and flies.

The hotel is not very ordinary, the outside environment is very beautiful, the sea is very beautiful, but it is best to go in March and April, the hottest month, there is a big sun every day.

SSwaterfieldMy goals for this holiday trip was peace and quiet away from any crowds, and I got just that here. The island is really remote, so be prepared for that. It took a 1.5 hour boat ride from Sairgao to reach the resort but once here, it was super relaxing. The resort itself is dated but still comfortable. The bed slept well and the over the water hit had the best view of the cove 24hr a day. In the room, you have a fridge for items that you bring with you, a balcony, and a separate bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and shower. Bring your own toiletries as they do want to protect the environment and only provide soap and shampoo. The resort offered a day trip to nearby cases and coves (non-stinging jellyfish!) that was lovely. You also have free use of kayaks and paddle boards. I brought my own snorkeling gear with me and water shoes. The ground is rocky to get into the water, so you might need them. The menu at the resort is simple but good. Anything chicken was the best! Make sure you bring cash for everything as credit card are shown to be accepted but aren’t. You will need to pay cash for everything. Also note that this is a remote part of the island so the is nothing around and you are surrounded by wildlife, which is exactly what I wanted. Keep that in mind when you book! I recommend taking the tour to see the jellyfish (non-stinging) and caves. It was amazing.

KKinkin92The hotel is located quite in rhe center, 10 min walk from General luna center area. The hotel spot is amazing and well designed from the outside, i really felt in the middle of the jungle with very cozy and chill vibe. But, and a big but!! The interior of the cabins is old and not well maintained . When i arrived to the hotel they told me that they “upgraded” my stay, and put me in a family cabin of 2 floors (not comfortable at all cause the beds are upstairs and the stairs are very stiff). There was an horibble smell of sewers from the shower and the sink, just luck i had my own incense so i put it on every time i took a shower. Moreover, the lightning in the cabin is very poor, and mostly in the bathroom area. During the night i had lots of noices from the roof, like some animal is trying to come inside- which made me worried and get scared of going back to sleep. Also, the cabin is not sealed and i got tones of mosquitoes bites all over my body. Staff is nice but everything takes long time until its done. Overall - the place is very nice and the property itself is located in great spot! With very nice, relaxing and chill vibes. But i wouldnt recommend to stay in this place due to the lack of maintenance.

GGuest UserFerra Resort is a great option if you want to stay slightly away from the busy center of General Luna while still being close enough to everything. It’s about 7 minutes by scooter and located in a nice area near the beach, although I didn’t go into the sea during my stay. The hut was very spacious and comfortable, with a mosquito net over the bed and pleasant lighting in the bedroom, creating a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was very large, with warm water, good-quality towels, and plenty of space. The resort features a brand new pool, which was a nice highlight, and pool towels are available. During the visit, a restaurant was still under construction, and the overall experience was slightly impacted by ongoing works and workers extending the property. The internet connection was good, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Nearby resorts were a bit loud at times, which might have been due to the Christmas period. The staff were very friendly and attentive—I was able to ask for free coffee several times without any issues. A nice extra was the private water dispenser in the bathroom, available free of charge. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely come again.

SSai LingatongI recently stayed at Amarah Hotel and had a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, courteous, and always ready to assist. The check-in process was smooth and quick, setting a positive tone for my stay. The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed — comfortable beds, fresh linens, a strong Wi-Fi connection, and a spacious bathroom. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water and toiletries. One of the highlights of Amarah Hotel was the ambiance — modern yet homey, creating a perfect place to relax after a busy day. The restaurant served delicious food, with a good variety of dishes at reasonable prices. Breakfast was especially satisfying, with both local and international options available. Location-wise, the hotel is conveniently situated near key spots, making it easy to explore the area. Transportation was accessible, and there were shops and cafes nearby. Overall, I highly recommend Amarah Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and memorable stay. I’m looking forward to coming back again!

SSonja27Pros: • hotel is new, they only opened last August • room was very spacious • beds, pillows, comforter were very comfortable • bathroom was very spacious with complimentary toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner • airconditioning was superb • room has a balcony (that we didn’t use) Cons • because it’s new, apparently their how shower has not been installed yet. But they provide hot water from the kitchen and will bring to the room in a pail 😂 • location is not ideal as it is a good 10-minute walk on a dirt road to get to the main tourism road • breakfast wasn’t impressive. The tapa and the tocino were tough. All in all, it’s still value for money. The entries crew were very friendly and accommodating. And I will still consider staying there next time.
