The location of the hotel is convenient, the room is clean and spacious, the indoor swimming pool, the fitness equipment is complete and there is table tennis, the boss and the front desk are very enthusiastic and take the initiative to help. It is recommended if Chinese compatriots go to Tanzan
I chose this hotel because it offers direct access to the ferry terminal, which was convenient for me to take a boat to other cities. The only commendable aspect was that the hotel arranged someone to help me buy the ferry tickets, which I consider to be the sole added value of choosing this hotel.
I arrived in Dar es Salaam close to midnight after a layover in Ethiopia. As it was my first time in the country, I felt quite anxious. After exiting the airport, I wasn't sure how to get to the hotel, so I called them to ask if they could pick me up. Although the hotel stated that I'd be responsible for the round-trip pick-up fee, I felt an inexplicable sense of relief when I saw that the person who came was the hotel owner, a fellow Chinese national. I had booked a comfortable king room, but upon arrival, the owner upgraded me to a sea-view king room, saying there was one available anyway and I might as well enjoy a more pleasant stay. I was incredibly grateful! While the breakfast wasn't as lavish as what you'd find in a Chinese hotel, it was still suitable and sufficient for a Chinese guest. I stayed for just one night before heading to Zanzibar, and though the process was a bit rushed, overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.
Business hotel style.
They charged extra for slippers and shaving kits (we brought tooth brushes ourselves).
We had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel, the food was quite good and the meal is really big.
I booked this hotel due to two reasons - its a Marriot property now and the beach pier which I saw in the pics. Unfortunately the pier is closed now and there is no direct access to any beach. That was a big disappointment. The other issue was that there is no calling bell outside the room. So the staff has to knock!! If you are asleep or TV is ON, you will mostly not hear it. Bit strange despite being a marriot property.
The pros: The check in and checkout was seamless. The reception is very well managed and the people are very nice and hospitable. The breakfast buffet was good with nice vegetarian options (which I had requested and the hotel was kind enough to oblige). The deluxe room with ocean view was quite large and had a nice balcony. though not directly on the watefront, could view the ocean...it should be renamed as partial view of ocean though. The in room dining food was quite good. Also the location is in a nice part of the town.
To be fair, this hotel scores average because it is not a family friendly place Apart from having a swimming pool, there is absolutely nothing and nowhere for children. I was travelling with mine, so it was not the most comfortable experience.
We travelled and stayed over new year's eve, so perhaps that was the reason for much of the discomfort, but without going into too much unnecessary detail, it was noisy, extremely hot in the corridors, lots of mosquitoes ( my 6YO was bitten ), no nets, outdated bathroom, weak plumbing, shower takes a little while to heat up in the evening, just generally poor, and not what I expected from a 4 star rated hotel.
Staff were generally really pleasant, except for the one lady at breakfast who seemed totally unimpressed to have to engage with guests, but still insisted on doing so, then incorrectly served a dish to our table and proceeded to get snappy with us over HER mistake. Unprofessional and distasteful.
Gym is small, outdated, equipment well used and not fully functional.
Restaurant curry very tasty, huge dessert portions, breakfast spread sufficient, but coffee not hot, and had to wait for a chef from the kitchen to make scrambled eggs that took a good 20mins!
This hotel is not a place to expect luxury or exceptional comfort, but if a bed and a place to be close to banking and service centres is what you require, this place will serve it's purpose. Pool is a good size, very clean, and night view from the pool deck is pretty.
Hotel location is OK, in the city center, but the local power supply is unstable, often power outages
Facilities: The room is relatively large, and pots and bowls are provided at the same time
Hygienic: The room is relatively clean
Environment: You can see the night view of the city's main road
AC was not working, i asked twice for repair but they did not
Phone line was not working also
Room was very hot that i have to leave the hotel at 12 midnight and go to a different hotel
Very Good

Amazing
AAndrés-ExplorandoCentral location, outstanding Gym. Nice pool area. Great breakfast. The rooms are ample and clean. For lunch there is only one restaurant open and they don’t allow you to choose from the Menu, the only option is to go for the buffet.

JJNB_82The resort was definitely much smaller than it appeared in the pictures, but it was very nice indeed. Beautiful clean white sand, a lovely relaxing vibe, and generally pleasant surroundings.
There is not much to do apart from swimming for my six-year-old, but that in itself was enjoyable. It was peak season, therefore it was a little bit crowded, however not to the point of total discomfort. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, and the restaurant food was mostly very tasty. Our one suggestion was well received, and likely to be rectified soonest.
Nice breakfast spread - included all the stations, but the hot food selection could be a little more exciting.
It would be great if the hotel itself could organize one or two activities. There was a volleyball and an attempt at a game the guests tried to pioneer which never quite happened. The rooms size is sufficient, nice big bed, my only complaint would be the fact that the fridge can be difficult to locate as it is very strangely positioned and hidden behind some panels.
The central air conditioning seemed to be off in certain places, so it was hot in the corridors, fortunately the room air conditioning works very well.
There isn't really anything in the way of fast food places and restaurants in close proximity, so only the hotel restaurant. This is fine for a few nights, but would probably get tedious for a longer stay. We enjoyed our stay overall, and would recommend and visit again!
LLvxingonlushangThe facilities are old, the rooms are not soundproof, the internet is slow, the hot water is not hot... but none of that matters. What matters is the beautiful scenery and the professional, warm and welcoming service. That's enough!

GGuest UserThe room is relatively large and clean in Dar es Salaam. Breakfast is okay and has a rich variety. The gym is small and the water quality of the swimming pool is guaranteed. It's pretty good in this price range. Not easy to order.
