Very clean hotel and nice staff. The room was rather small (but good enough for two people)
We stayed for four days in total, the nights were very quiet except for one night where we heard bar music playing from several blocks away. The hotel is close to the HMart.
The lack of a kettle (in the common area or in the room) is not a deal breaker as you can use the microwave (in the common area). I wished the combination safe was larger, as neither my laptop nor tablet could fit, so we travelled with our devices which made walking very tiring.
The bathrooms are nice, well-lit and spacious.
Visited Galena for the first time in September 2020 and chose the Irish Cottage Boutique Hotel. We liked it so much we came back 9 days later to catch some fall colors with nice weather. John is the finest hotel staff Manager I’ve ever seen. He made us feel at home and remembered us from our first visit. We would love to stay here again in the future, that is to say either when the pandemic is over with or they begin enforcing that guests wear masks in the common areas. On several occasions during our two night stay people were near the coffee area, walking down halls, at the front desk... with no masks and not even being politely asked to put one on. When we asked the night person at the front desk about it, her response was that they are in the hospitality business and can’t make people wear masks. Well two things here: 1) I would think that their number one priority would be the safety and we’ll being of their guests and themselves, and 2) if they can’t enforce policies then they’re not being responsible. Everywhere else we went in Galena, masks were worn. We will be back when things settle down.
It seems that there is no breakfast, so it is a good hotel in the surrounding area. Because I need to print a lot of documents when meeting customers, they are all printed at the hotel. It is very convenient to have a computer and a printer.
This hotel is very large and every room is a suite, so it’s great for parents to bring their children! There is a refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave and sink. There is a gym and swimming room. The large reception hall is spacious. There are many sofa seats, and there is a huge indoor pavilion with green plants and stools under the trees, which is very comfortable and enjoyable! And the price is moderate, very good hotel!
The hotel is a typical airport hotel, had a very helpful shuttle driver (Ray) and the other staff interacted with were very friendly and helpful.
Located just offsite from the airport, opposite a shopping mall and had a small selection of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Room was clean and had everything needed. Bathroom had good water pressure and provided nice toiletries.
This was a one-night stay prior to flying home from O'Hare and met all needs.
Central Illinois, central to everywhere. SureStay by Best Western Forsyth Decatur is just off I-72 in Central Illinois, between Springfield, Indianapolis, and Chicago. We’re near Hickory Point Mall, Millikin University and Lake Decatur. You’ll get a complimentary continental breakfast that is expanded, a comfy bed, and free WiFi.
Besides needing staff to cover busy times such as check in and out, the accomodations are excellent. Clean marble bathrooms with white towels. Beds white as snow and comfortable. First time seen house staff friendly and responsive to your needs. Downers Grove hotel have elevators to third floor. Breakfast was standard for first and menu posted for each morning and the eating area was clean and kept maintained by kitchen staff as people dined left tables..Noise free rooms. Individual temperature rooms controls. Wide hallways and have communication friendly rooms whatever these are. Again, communication to the front desk from room was cumbersome as long rings to answer from phones I'm rooms by front desk staff lady. Can perhaps use a two person a peak times or as a balance during the day for better response.
The pillows on the bed were 5 small pillows, not standard sized and kept slipping from under our heads.
They only supplied 2 bath towels for the 2 of us, would be better had they supplied 2 for each of us.
The TV remote was cumbersome to use and had no instructions you could reference.

Very Good
Great location (very closed to major sites - walking distance to Millennium Park, Trump Tower, Giordano’s Pizza, Art Museum. Good size rooms and great front desk service (esp. Samuel). I booked 2 rooms.
Very clean, large room. Went for only one night, could have stayed longer. Friendly staff at check in. Got a good night sleep. So far one of our best hotel experiences in the US.
Location is good with a beautiful view. Just a heads up bring your own slipper and dental kit and drinking water because they don’t have complimentary of such. Overall we had a great sleep and we enjoyed our stay.
Excellent location right in downtown Chicago, close to most attractions including the Bean. Clean and spacious rooms and clean baths. Would stay again. Excellent value for money.
You need to pay WiFi otherwise you’ll have to sign up if you don’t have Hilton account. Free parking and no microwave in room so you gotta use it near meeting room
KKaylaGreat location great view loved the breakfast the down falls that my jetty tub didn't work were supposed to send someone the next day never showed to fix and the bed was comfortable but whatever you have the bed on is a bad idea cause it makes so much noise just when you sit on the bed and need more grip on the porch and in by the pool I fell as it was wet outside on the porch and my son and including other children I had seen fallen by the pool area which kids are gonna get hurt I never recipient the extra stuff I requested when booking my room and false advertisement because the pics did not match up correctly when they showed me for when I booked my room the bedroom was different and was supposed to have couch in room and wasn't and my fireplace didn't work in my room so overall I would stay again if emenities got fixed I was partially satisfied with my stay...
Absolutely wonderful experience! I truly enjoyed the service provided — the staff were friendly and professional. The property was clean, perfectly located, and offered a peaceful atmosphere.”
