Stage Coach Inn

This beautiful grand old hotel takes up the entire corner of Madison and Dunraven Streets in West Yellowstone. There is street parking in front of the building and more parking around the back of the hotel. The ladies that checked us in were very kind and professional and answered all our questions. A continental breakfast is included with the room from 7-10 a.m. each morning. There were lots of choices of cereal, waffles, toast, breads, hardboiled eggs, pastries, yogurt, coffee and juice. Coffee is available in the lobby 24 hours a day. There is a magnificent wood staircase from the lobby to the second floor, comfortable wood furniture and a fireplace in the lobby. The décor of taxidermy animals from this area is abundant and a little off putting if you are not a hunter But this is the wild west, so not an unusual form of decorating for those who love to hunt. The pool and sauna are on the first floor. The laundry room located on the second floor was $2 to wash and $2 to dry and was very clean. Bring your own detergent and dryer sheets. The ice machine is in the laundry room so it’s very handy. Our room was very small and the only place to sit and watch TV was from the bed, or sit on the little wooden chair by the table. There was a microwave, small refrigerator and coffee maker. The bathroom was equally small which wouldn’t have mattered so much if there had been a vanity space to lay out our things. The pretty bowl-shaped sink took up all the room and we had to push towels around it to keep the water from going everywhere. On the plus side, there was a rubber mat for the tub/shower to prevent slips. The view from our room was the back of the hotel parking lot. The room was immaculately clean and the bathroom sparkling. Some nice bathroom amenities were also provided. The hotel is very close to the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. There are lots of restaurants in town. To sum it up, a large, beautiful hotel with great amenities. Everything was immaculate and the staff was professional and friendly. But the room was just too small for our needs even if it was only for one night.

We stayed twice in April - going to and from the grandkids. The first stay was fine - although odd half size pillows prompted my wife to buy regular ones for the trip back, but there were normal pillows on the way back. On the way back were were disappointed with 1) left over sox in drawer, 2) half eaten stinky salad in the fridge, 3) placed next to another room with a dog and a pass door - our dog was trying to understand the dog smells for an hour or two....but most concerning of all, 4) during the evening and taking the dog out, we found 3 external doors which were propped open. We did not appreciate that from a safety standpoint. It's too bad since we really like the pet policy at the Kelly Inn....but we have to feel safe at our age!

Hotel itself was nice. Still under construction but clean. Front desk staff were all super friendly and nice. The older lady working in the restaurant for breakfast was extremely rude. Tried taking my kids there for breakfast and we ended up walking out. She rolled her eyes and heavy sighed at us for wanting to order to go, so then I said we would sit and order if that was easier for her? She acted like there was no where for us to sit amd saod shes about to get really busy. Only 3 other tables were sat at the time of our arrival. After seating us she sat about 4 other tables 5 minutes later. She got their drink orders and seemed super friendly to everyone else but never came back to help us. So we got up and left.

I loved this little hotel middle in the city. I saw a lot of comments around before i booked that this hotel isn't be the best but i experienced it by myself and was amazed. I got a little room with balcony which was sadly not clean. I went to the office and got a new amazing room without problems in just some minutes. I was extend mx staying more then once and this always without problems. If you need anything everyone is open to help you there and always available. I forgot my card inside and no problems to get a new one, my problems with losing power in the room was handled fast at the main break. I felt like home from the start. Anytime again and i will. See ya soon❤

4 stars for cleanliness because the non-smoking room smelt like cigarettes. But they gave us a different room without any hassles.

We spent one night in the Family Suite and we are so glad we booked our stay. This hotel is unlike any other in Dillon. The suite has such a welcoming feel with touches of the West sprinkled throughout. The suite itself is large with a separate bedroom with two double beds and a mounted TV. The sitting room has a couch and a recliner along with a massive 52” screen TV which comes with streaming services (so basically every station a person could want). There is a kitchen table with seating for 4, a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove/oven and a microwave. There’s a large kitchen sink with ample counter space plus numerous cabinets for storage. The bathroom has a huge vanity and sink as well as an amazing shower. Breakfast is included in the stay and there were many options for us to choose from including scrambled eggs, cheese omelettes, two kinds of sausage as well as cereal, yogurt, assorted juices and coffee. The Lodge is across the street from the local Y and a quarter of a mile at most from a fishing pond with a walking path. This is a really quiet and pretty part of town so a perfect place for this Boutique Hotel.

I love staying here. Marty helped me get a room next to the pool (my sons love that) and everyone is always pleasant and kind. My rooms have been clean and well stocked. Their little shop is ever so helpful for any forgotten toiletries or needed late night snacks. The room next to mine had an infant and I never heard a thing until I went out into the hall and their door was open. Temp in the room is easy to regulate. I love being able to walk to some of the tastiest restaurants and the shops in the gulch are a short stroll away. All in all, I love this hotel.

The city is not big, the hotel is not in the city center, close to the highway, McDonald's is opposite, there is a pizzeria not far from the car, there is no public laundry facilities, laundry is not convenient, breakfast is simple, bread, coffee, and meat Sausage is enough, I think it's OK as an airport transit hotel

When I first walked into the hotel, it seemed fine. Lemonade and ice water was in the lobby, which was refreshing. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. Although the lobby and hallways were well air conditioned, the room was extremely warm. I turned on the air as cold as it would go and waited – nothing! It was so warm I jammed my room door open with a shoe and opened the window (on a hot end of June day – that’s how hot the room was) hoping for a cross breeze, as the hallway was nice and cool. It worked okay, but was awkward leaving our door open. Then we went to the pool. We noticed the pool was low; barely covering the top step, but quickly discovered why. Tiles were broken off along the top, so they had to keep the water below the broken off tiles. The top pool step was slimy and I almost slipped getting in. the entire bottom of the pool was chipping away, so you’re walking on granulated cement. The hot tub looked gross, was in the same shape as the pool and the jets did not work. Everything needs to be drained and fixed. Went back to the room; it was still too warm, but we had to close the drapes to keep from being blinded by the parking lot lights and the drapes blocked any breeze we may have had. And, who wants to sleep with their hotel door open?? I asked for a different room and was told “the air is broken and most, if not all, of the rooms have no air”. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, the water pressure was great (important because I have very long hair and if the water pressure is not strong enough, I can’t even wash it) and breakfast was a STANDARD BW breakfast and was okay (BW+ has a much better breakfast). I marked sleep quality as poor, even though beds were comfortable, because it was too hot to sleep well. I avoided this hotel on my way home and drove an extra 5 hours to a BW+ in Missoula. It cost more, but was well worth it!

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel common areas were immaculate and someone was always cleaning. The rooms in the courtyard area were very big and had a lot of space for us to open 3 suitcases. The carpet should be pulled up and a floor should be laid down. This would help make the room look more modern and clean. There used to be a pool and a hot tub, but theybhave been replaced with a sitting area and outdoor fitness equipment. I appreciate the layout of this hotel as it gave me old school vibes (I've stayed in hotels with the courtyard layout in Hawaii and Key West). All in all it was a decent stay and the room served its purpose. The breakfast was outstanding it was a hot breakfast buffet served by very quick-moving and efficient ladies. The weird thing was that you only get two breakfasts included with your room. We were a family of four so I had to pay $10 per person for the other two meals. There are a few other things that would improve the rating of this hotel they don't provide a soap dish for your soap, there is no place to fill up your water bottles with cold water (my daughter was told to use the faucet in our room), they do not provide any conditioner for your hair, there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room (we literally filled up the garbage pail with ice to submerge our drinks), the workers are not very friendly and most don't speak English, there are signs all over the place telling you what NOT to do (don't fill up your coolers with ice, don't touch the coffee machine). I understand that certain things need to be communicated but the tone of the notes could have been more kind. This was a decent hotel and the price was very fair considering that most hotels in the area all seemed to be the same motel style. If you stay here l, just be sure to bring conditioner and ask for a room withba fridge.
