The shop assistant is quite helpful; seeing that it's your first time there, she proactively recommended a few seasonal items. Regular customers in our area know that her pastries are seasonal, which is quite rare. Around holidays, they even give you a mugwort sachet to go with it – that's nice.
This shop is located in the old town. The eight-treasure cake is steamed fresh; I specifically asked the kitchen staff. It contains hawthorn, mung beans, and probably seven or eight other ingredients. The texture is incredibly smooth and creamy, not sticky at all. If you want to try it, I suggest going early, as it might be sold out by then.
The antique-style decor, paired with old wooden cabinets, creates a relaxing atmosphere as soon as you step inside. The pastry chef is exceptionally welcoming, patiently recommending suitable flavors, and the staff even help arrange the desserts beautifully, like little paintings. Sitting here enjoying desserts, time seems to slow down.
