This restaurant is very large, with two floors. There is such a large store in the Nanhetou Historical and Cultural District, which shows that the signboard and strength are loud enough. The style of the whole store is also in line with the flavor of the historical and cultural district. The front of the store looks very much like a restaurant in ancient dramas, with red lanterns hanging on both sides. If it weren&#39;t for the big words &quot;Laopinghu Restaurant&quot;, it would really remind me of the &quot;three bowls and no more&quot; in Jingyanggang in Water Margin. I don&#39;t know if it was specially decorated like this, or it was an old house renovation.

The way of ordering dishes in this restaurant is very unique. The ordering area is full of simulated models of dishes. There are some wooden sticks with the name of the dish next to each dish. When the guests enter the store, the store will give a small wooden barrel. The guests take out the wooden sticks of the dish they like and put them in the wooden barrel, which is equivalent to ordering this dish. Finally, the small wooden barrel full of wooden sticks is given to the store, and you can go to the table to wait for the dish to be served. This not only frees up the staff in the store💁 to do more service work, but also gives customers🤵👩 a fresh experience.

🍴Dishes:

📍Location &amp; Transportation:
The store is located in the Nanhetou Historical and Cultural District. The store is very unique so it is easy to find. There are many bus stops at the entrance of the district, so it is very convenient to take the bus. If you are a tourist, there are also many parking spaces nearby if you drive 🚗. If you come during holidays, it is recommended to park a little further away and walk 🚶.

Pinghu Restaurant is a well-known local restaurant with antique decoration. The store is quite large and the second floor is a private room. The eight-immortal table, cloth signboard, and bamboo lanterns are arranged to look like an ancient restaurant. In order to take care of other customers, the private room we were given was in the corner of the second floor. Although the screen in the middle was pushed aside, it was still crowded for 12 people because the table was small.
The reception was quite enthusiastic and led us to sit down and help us brew our own tea. The waiter was quite nice but it was a bit messy when he was busy.
The cold dishes were set out early in the morning. The local fried fish was crispy, crispy, salty and sweet, the harvest salad was crispy and refreshing, the grains of Jixiang were crispy, crispy, sour, fresh, salty and crispy, the secret salted goose was crispy and salty, and the boutique jellyfish was smooth and chewy. The soy sauce was too salty.
The black pepper cowboy ribs were tender and chewy with a salty, thick and slightly spicy taste.

The rock sugar river eel (Pinghu Sixteen Flavors) was thick and oily, salty and sweet, and the eel was crispy and tender.
The special cumin lamb chops were too burnt and a bit old.
The delicious tea tree mushrooms were crispy and oily.
The farmer&#39;s fried chicken is also one of his specialty dishes. The chicken is crispy, tender and salty, which may not be to our taste because it is braised.
The white sugar osmanthus cake is soft, sweet and delicious.
The steamed blue crab in Jinxiu meat pie is quite plump, although not much yellow, the crab meat is fresh, smooth and tender, and the meat pie at the bottom is very crispy, tender, salty and delicious.
The mushroom and green vegetable soup is quite crispy.
Pinghu Shaomai is also one of the sixteen flavors of Pinghu, but it seems that the meat filling is not fresh overnight.
The fruit platter watermelon is quite sweet.
I was lazy and didn&#39;t want to order dishes, so I chose the set meal. Although there are quite a lot of dishes, the taste and quality are not very good, and I didn&#39;t taste any local characteristics or the signature dishes of the store.

A very nice place to eat rice noodles. The rice noodles here are very chewy and the soup is also very good. This small restaurant is very clean and gives people a very comfortable feeling. There are quite a few people who come here to eat rice noodles.

It&#39;s not bad, but there are too many people and it&#39;s located in the downtown area, so there&#39;s nothing we can do.

人民西路小巷里，门头确实不起眼，差点走过头。  但里面空间比想象中大，居然有好几个包厢。  上周六约了六个朋友，提前两天订到了靠里的那间，私密性不错，聊天不会被打扰。  建议人多的话直接问包厢，大厅桌子摆得有点密。

Located in a small alley on Renmin West Road, the storefront is indeed inconspicuous; I almost missed it.

Last Saturday, I met up with six friends and booked a room two days in advance, one of the more secluded ones. It offered good privacy, and our conversation wouldn&#39;t be disturbed.
