I went to Shiping for a trip during the National Day in 2023 and ate at Yanwu. It is generally a good place for tourists from other places to eat. The prices are clearly marked on the wall and the prices are moderate. I recommend trying the local dishes. But locals will not go there. After outsiders go there once, there are many other restaurants, such as those in Shiping Ancient Town.

A very delicious restaurant. The food is served very quickly. There are big tables in the lobby. The food should be the best in the area, especially the tofu meatball soup. The fish is very fresh and tender. The best is the crabs from Yilong Lake. They are all crab roe. They are so delicious. The only regret is that the waiter speaks the local dialect, which I can&#39;t understand at all. But the service attitude and the taste of the dishes are both excellent.

Of course you have to try the grilled tofu when you are in Shiping. This shop is near the Confucian Temple. I ordered all three kinds of tofu. After waiting for about a quarter of an hour, it was finally grilled. The long and large pieces of tofu are the specialty of Shiping, and they are delicious. The small pieces of soft tofu are also delicious, but the small pieces of dry tofu are not delicious.

Shiping tofu is indeed crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the tofu with a creamy coating has an even softer texture. But the key is the dipping sauce; their wet dipping sauce is the soul of the dish, savory with a hint of spiciness that brings out the aroma of the beans perfectly. It&#39;s recommended not to rush to eat it after it&#39;s served, but to let the tofu soak in the dipping sauce for a few seconds for the full flavor.

I was strolling along Longhu Lake in the evening when I happened to come across this little shop. I ordered a local specialty, rice cake, and sat down on a wooden bench by the lake. The setting sun painted the lake a warm gold, and the rice cake in my hand was still steaming, soft and chewy, with a faint fragrance of osmanthus. The wind was gentle, and the only sounds were the ripples on the water and the occasional bird flying by. At that moment, time seemed to slow down, and I felt incredibly peaceful. 🌅
