Joyful Jianghu Cuisine: While strolling around Temple Street, I couldn't find any large restaurants. I kept walking until I found this, and it turned out to be the only decent-sized restaurant nearby. I wasn't really looking for spicy food, but I had no choice. The restaurant is on the second floor of a shopping mall with very little foot traffic. There's an escalator up, but you have to walk down stairs to get down. The [Pickled Fish] is their signature dish, and I saw almost every table ordering it. It arrived very quickly after ordering, practically unprepared. This is because it's pre-cooked. The fish was obviously not fresh, and even the pickled cabbage was overcooked and limp, completely different from the pickled cabbage in truly fresh pickled fish. The fish head and tail were specially fried until they were thoroughly cooked; a light touch and your mouth would be full of oil. The [Hand-Torn Cabbage] wasn't pre-cooked anymore, so the wait was much longer. I asked for it to be less oily, but it was still quite oily. But that's what you get when it's oily.
Shredded pork with fish flavor, paper-wrapped tofu, shredded pork with Beijing sauce. They are all very distinctive.
