This little restaurant is tucked away deep in a hutong (alleyway), and you're enveloped in warm yellow light as soon as you step inside. I ordered their signature plum ribs; the sweet and sour sauce coated the tender, succulent meat, and paired it with a sip of jasmine tea—it instantly made me relax. The soft chatter of the customers at the table by the window was like background noise. The wait for the food was a little long, but watching the busy figures in the kitchen made me more patient.
This restaurant is very family-friendly, as they have plenty of child seats. Last time we went during peak hours, the staff saw us with our child and immediately asked if we needed a seat, even helping to bring one over and adjust the height. These kinds of details make things much easier.
This restaurant is right next to the subway station, so it's very convenient. When I came before, there was never a queue; I could just sit down right away.
