As one of the seven new wonders of the world, Petra not only has temples, monasteries, snake roads, chanting, candlelight, the most expensive ticket (670 yuan), but also the most expensive donkey.

To go to the ancient city of Petra, you must pass through a canyon that is1.5 kilometers long. This is actually a gap between the tall rocky mountains. It is very narrow. The locals call it a snakeway and lament the magic of nature. Most of the road has been renovated to facilitate visitors' access.

Snake Way is the only access to the ancient city of Petra. Hidden in the mountains around, more than 1000 meters above sea level in the alpine canyon, it is difficult to find. This narrow road is as slender and winding as a snake, so it is called snake road. The narrowest part of the serpentine road can only pass through a camel. Looking up, it is a narrow gap. Walking into it, the sun can't shine, which is the magic of nature.

This walk is magical. The walls of the canyon on both sides engulf you, and the treasury eventually appears at the very end. I don't suggest one of the donkey cart rides, they looked really uncomfortable.

Petra Ancient City is Jordan's only successful site for heritage application. The only entrance must pass through the narrow cliff walls, towering and winding paths leading to the 1.5 km long "Xike Canyon" masterpiece of nature, the widest 7 meters and the narrowest 2 meters bending, more than 100 meters of cliff walls shielding the hot sun, the canyon is bright and dark mottled land, and the end of the snake path is "Temple". This natural Rift Valley is vividly called Snake Way.

Snake Way is the only access to the ancient city of Petra. In the desert of southern Jordan, it is very difficult to find an ancient city in a valley about 260 kilometers away from the capital Amman and 1000 meters above sea level. Only through this narrow serpentine road can we enter the ancient city. In the high valleys, the narrowest place can only pass through a camel. Looking up, it is a narrow gap. Walking into it, the blasting sun can not be sunburnt. It's really the magic of nature.

Snake Way is a winding passageway in the ancient city of Petra, so it is called Snake Way. The starting point is at the gate of the ancient city and the ending point is at the Nizni Temple, which is nearly two kilometers long. The serpentine road is formed by a crack in a valley nearly 100 metres high, which is as wide as a small square; the narrowest place is just a carriage; walking in it, the scenery changes endlessly, amazing the magic of nature, and envying the good fortune of the Petra people, can find such a natural shelter. On both sides of the serpentine road, there are defensive fortifications, water supply channels, carved gods and altars, which make people stop to watch from time to time...
