This is a quaint little restaurant in Trastevere. The owner waited on us, and he's a very friendly man who obviously takes much pride in his restaurant. He hand picks the fish and seafood every morning, and only picks the best produce. My husband ordered the seafood platter, which was very good value. It had huge calamari, shrimps, little octopuses, and surprisingly, a salmon steak. Everything on the platter was delicious and extremely fresh. I wasn't as pleased with my dish-sea bass in a lemon sauce. It was a rather small portion and not nearly as good value for money as the seafood platter was. For dessert we shared the panna cotta, I wish we had ordered one each! That is one dish I didn't want to share, it was so delicious!!! I would recommend booking a table in advance, as it's quite a small restaurant.

    4/5Excellent

My wife was craving oysters and based on the reviews, we came to Aroma di Mare. We dined quite early, so it was fairly quiet, but the restaurant had a good interior, making it classy even though it was quite laid back. All our food options chosen on the night were delicious, the seafood was fresh, especially the oysters. They had a good wine selection to go with our meals. We had the owner look after us throughout the night and was very hands on with everything. His service to us was great and we took in some of his recommendations for the dessert which were good.
