asakusa is very beautiful and you can easily spend the day there getting lost in all those little alleys. at the exits of the subway, there are some tuctuc who can take you on a tour (time and length according to the price). they are very funny and chatty. it's a little expensive but it's a different way of getting to know the neighborhood as they know a lot and speak pretty well English (even French for one). they'll be happy to answer any questions and they know many things about the place. asakusa is very close to the temple shrine which is majestic. as it is very touristic, there will be a lot of people but if you go early there will be less. you can buy a lot of souvenirs there and there are also a few petting zoo. don't expect too much though. you pay the entrance fee for most and need to pay extra to feed an animal, hold an owl or cuddle with a hedgehog. you can ask beforehand though.
