Ayverdi's Affoltern Review

A colleague suggested to try Ayverdis already a while ago and warned me: after trying this dürüm, its hard to go back to the usual once ;-) I have to say, he is right! My wife, 5 year old kid and i loved it. Ordering: We had all three different dürüms (the wrap with kebap meat). Classic for my son, with no onions, no hot sauce, just yougurt. I had one with everything, plus feta and yogurt and cocktail sauce. My wife had a falafel dürüm. Price wise may be 1-2 chf more than the türk around the corner, but already on first sight you see its worth. Ordering was at the bar, nice friendly woman took the order and added it in her ipad. You get a bon with your order details and a number. Drinks can be taken out of the cooling. In the next room, away from the take away bar and preparing noise we sat down and awaited the food. Chairs and tables are simple, all was clean, decoration decent. Some background lounge music. All in all ok, a bit better than avarage kebap places. The 3 dürüms were served quick, on simple nice small plastic trays, form-wise as if they are designed for dürüms;-) Taste: Already from look you saw its a difference, the wrap was nicely backed and a bit crunchy, not that usual soft wabbling wrap, which is just warmed up a bit. The ingredients were perfectly harmonizing and balanced to each other. No dominance present. Also they perfectly spread throughout the dürüm, so you always have a bite of everything. Not like at the end only salat leaves. The meat is very very nicely spiced, not too hot not too salty, not fatty but juicy. I was even not over thirsty after the food. You really can taste its quality meat. What a difference. Also the souces were delicious. Also the falafel was great. Fluffy and tasteful, not these dried fried couscous balls you often get. All in all for the taste its full points. Even my son was eating a whole dürüm!!!!! Never had seen this before! The trip to neuafholtern was worth every bit. Really disappointed from that experience. We booked over the fork and we were supposed to have a discount. I showed it to the lady on casheer & she said, we don’t have that on our system.

Very delicious dummy, top quality and also very good portions! The dummy was even brought to the table, which is not obvious in a dummy store!
