Bang Khuang Cafe Review

This little cafe on the 2nd floor of an old residency building is a real nest. Cozy, warm, friendly, excellent food, safe. They serve drinks and foods all day. It's worth a visit if you want to try a real Vietnamese home cooking taste. This place is full of stories to tell, for examples: The owner wake up at 4:00 AM every morning to go to the market and select the most fresh veggies, fishes, meats and other ingredients. On the way back from the market, she always helps deliver the purchase of an old street vendors couple to their doors cause the couple are too old to be able to carry heavy things. Their family is one of the first to grow the coffee in Ban me Thuot (highlands town). They have another cafe with the same name in in that town since 1967. They now still grow their own coffee, hand grounded. Their way of making coffee is unique. They filter the coffee 3 times and let it over the night so the coffee become very condensed, naturally bitter and give a natural sweet flavour in your mouth. It is highly recommended if you want a quiet place to rest after lots of walking. It nested behind the Opera house. Don't mistaken it with another cafe on the 1st floor, go up 1 more floor and you will find it.
