The Wabang Barrier was built in the late 17th century and was truly admirable for such practical and exquisite riverworks, which are still in use today. The project is named after the architect.

One of the best views of Strasbourg definitely belongs to Barrage Vauban with the standing three towers. The best view has to be from the air as always and the best route is above the dam opposite the towers right across. Take the stairs up to the second level and you will be able to see the whole picture. You will be able to view Cathedral Norte Dame from here as well. Be aware that the stairs will closed at 9pm during spring and summer seasons. This area happens to be the best sunset viewing platform as well.

The place is really nice at night, and the changing lighting effects make this barrage particularly beautiful, not only a river project, but also a defensive project in the 17th century, so it has a dual role.

The architect of the dam is called Wobang, this dam is beautifully designed, with sculptures carved inside and outside, a total of three floors, outside with carved arched windows facing both sides, and a viewing platform.

The Wabang Barrier is a barricade on the Ile River in the Little France of Strasbourg, France, built from 1686 to 1700 and designed by Sebastian Le Prestre de Wabang. He is also a French marshal, a famous military engineer, and many fortified buildings he designed and built are listed as World Heritage Sites. The natural scenery around the dam is beautiful, and you can choose to climb the top viewing platform to see the beautiful scenery in the distance.

The Wabang Barrage is a very distinctive historical building on the island on the tourist route of Little France. It has played a major role in ensuring Strasbourg's unique strategic position. On the barrage, you can see the covered bridge, two towers and the river from another angle.

The Wabang Barrage is a water conservancy facility in Strasbourg with a history of more than 500 years. Of course, it has been reinforced and built many times, but it has basically remained the same. The design is very scientific, the river water storage water flow irrigation of the good fields, is a great ancient water conservancy project.

The Wabang Barrage is across the river, it has three floors, the bottom floor is for flood passage, there is an observation deck on the top floor, the design is very beautiful, and it is amazing to have such a building in the 17th century.
