The church, which is south of the ancient city wall and the oldest stone bridge in the Netherlands, the St. Selfas Bridge, which was built in the 13th century, was partially damaged and repaired in World War II.

Limited access is given to the small chapel beside its main entrance. To see more you have to pay entrance fee €5 to access the treasury museum, main chapel & garden. Doors that are locked are out of bounds to visitors. Very informative & rich treasures on display but unfortunately the descriptions are in Dutch. There are also 2 types of candles that you can light up in the chapel or bring home home for €5 or €2.5.

This St. Fauss Cathedral is a typical Gothic spire. Especially this red tower is very striking. The inside of the church is very luxurious. It has a more historical and charm.

Two blocks west of Grote Gracht Street, Markt sees the tall Sint Servaas basiliek. This medieval cross-shaped rectangular cathedral is the oldest church in the Netherlands. It commemorates the first Archbishop of the Netherlands, Serfas (buried here in 384 A.D.). The original chapel was built in 530, while parts of Roman style were built in 1000 - 1250; parts of Gothic architecture in 1324 - 1556; and large-scale renovations in 1828 - 1921. Three monuments -- "one is the early Gothic and Roman arches on the West Wing of the church; the other is the 70-ton (15,432-pound) largest Dutch clock in the South Tower on the West side, which the Dutch call "Grameer "(Grandma); and the third is the chest and relic box of St. Selfas in many of the treasures on display in the church.

St. Sefas Cathedral is very striking in the center of the Mall Square. Inside the church is an exhibition hall, displaying some medieval ceremonial utensils. There are band performances on festivals, which are very lively.

Maastricht, a city in the southern Netherlands, has the oldest church in the Netherlands - St. Selfas Church. It was founded in the 6th century A.D., where the first Dutch archbishops were buried. The church retains an ancient wall to the South and the oldest stone bridge in the Netherlands, the St. Selfas Bridge, built in the 13th century, which was severely damaged in part during World War II and later restored.

On the edge of Macheng Square, it was only a few steps from the Heaven Bookstore. The red spire of the church is distinctive and the whole church building is magnificent. Unfortunately, the weather was not good. It was raining when it arrived. A waffle was eaten at the dessert shop near the square. The rain still showed no sign of stopping, so I had to look at the church and fill it up and leave.

A very beautiful church. At that time, I missed the opening time and couldn't go inside for a visit. The red exterior wall is beautiful with the blue sky. On the opposite side of the church is a row of restaurants bars, and it's very pleasant to sit down and rest.
