Caifeng Bridge Review

Caifeng Bridge. The car parked under this 800-year-old aromatherapy tree, and you can see the Caifeng Bridge under the river on your right hand. The bridge is better preserved, but the color paintings in the bridge are basically invisible, and the name of Dahua Bridge is not visible. Caifeng Bridge is located in Shundang Village, Baishi Township, 74 kilometers north of Yunlong County, across the Lijiang River. It was built in the Ming Chongxu period (1628 － 1644), and it has been repaired in the past generations. When the last repair was made in the Guangxu period, the bridge pavilion on the west was converted into a loft, known as "Tongzi Pavilion". The bridge is a single-hole extruded arm wooden beam bridge, the full length 33.3 meters, the width 4.7 meters, the net span is 27 meters, the height 11.33 meters, the bridge body building is stacked with wooden squares, and the piers on both sides of the bridge are picked out to the center of the river. For example, the bucket arch in the pavilion building is extended 9 meters away from the two ends of the bucket arch, and then 5 cross beams are connected. The upper boards form the bridge and cover the roof on the bridge. The sides of the bridge are covered with wooden boards, and the bridge has two rows of wooden benches built in for pedestrians to rest. In the east bridge pavilion, the "Yunlong State Official Notice" of the Qingqianlong 47 (1782) promulgated the rules for pedestrians and horses to cross the bridge. The bridge is now well protected. It was announced as a cultural relics protection unit in Yunlong County in 1988.
